There are several things to addresss in this message. The most pressing matter is the issue syncing the wallets.  I've been working in the background since they went down, and 5.196.190.82 is a functioning node you can use to sync your wallets.

Now for explainations for why it went down, etc. The main Quicksilver dev had all his Bitcoin and all his Quicksilver [QSLV] on his personal SSD--with no backup, stupidly. Well inline with Murphy's Law, the SSD burned up and he lost about 75 BTC and 300k QSLV. All his attempts to recover the SSD and the coins it contained failed, and so without another word the dev rage quit crypto--one of the side effects from this was the issue with the wallets, as this main dev shut his node down when he quit.

I have been gone on a business trip, and did not even know this was happening until I received word from home that my wallet was no longer synced. Upon that realization I began poking around and after several attempts I finally got a hold of the unfortunate dev and got his story. One of the other things I got during that conversation was access to this BCT account, because he had initiated a password reset and neglected to let me know (hence the delay in this post).

So there's that.

Regarding the status of the project, I have a meeting scheduled upon my return (May 10th)  which will bring to an end the current  thrust and aim of the project--I am optimistically hopeful for a successful end! If not though, then the thrust will adjust and work will continue.

I myself have the highest incentive to continue my efforts and create value for the network, as I have accumulated a large position in QSLV over the past weeks during these dumps. While this accumulation represents a long-term investment in my work and in the future of the project, I would also be happy to use it to fund community collaboration going forward.

Regarding the questions I expect to follow this post, please be patient awaiting my replies, as I am on a business trip currently and my access to BCT will be limited until I return.

No, Quicksilver is definitely not abandoned   I did, however, let a typo slip through and wrote "quicksilver.co" instead of "quicksilvercoin.co."  If you go to the latter webpage, you can see that it is up and running just fine.

Hello everyone! I know it's been quiet lately, but I held off posting last week because I wanted to get some situations hashed out before sharing them with you.

Here is the current state of the Quicksilver project: while the developing team have the skills necessary to create the coin network, and a lot of the supporting infrastructure, the skill set behind creating an Android mobile app are rather more unique.  Because of this, we hired out the coding on the Android app, and the graphic design work as well. While the graphic design work is mostly done, unfortunately the guy we hired to make the app flaked out on us part way through the work and left it unfinished--while upsetting, this does in a way reflect the current state of crypto, so like everyone, we've learned to be flexible and work around these obstacles.

I will soon be posting a job link on coinality.com, reaching out to the best mobile developers in the industry. If you are here then you are most likely already interested in Quicksilver, so make sure to check out the job application and apply if you have the necessary skills!  I will post a direct link here when its available. Aside from that, be assured that we are continuing to build relationships with potential partners, and do our best to add value to the Quicksilver network.  Don't forget to follow on Twitter for live updates of progress, or support the network by pointing miners at the multipool!

One final note:  The renewal email from Quicksilver.co's hosting was mistakenly routed to my spam folder and I missed the renewal payment for the website.  Because of this (as you may have noticed), the website currently has a "suspended" error. Upon noticing this oversight, I immediately paid the outstanding invoice and I expect the notice to be taken down by tomorrow.  Sorry for any worries or confusion this may have caused!

Hey all Apologies for being quiet lately, between BCT going down several times, and just being super busy working I got out of the practice of checking in--thanks for your patience!  Because I haven't posted an update in awhile, I am going to write up something of a press release detailing the current state of the project, recent events, and everything Quicksilver related!  I hope to have it done tomorrow, but I'll definitely have it drafted up before the end of the week.

Quicksilver's POS support is fluctuating between 20% and 30%.  While that's good, I'd love it if it never dipped below 30%  Remember, staking your coins strengthens the network and rewards you for doing so!
