Re: Honest comparison of IOTA vs Byteball

byteball > xrb > iota

Totally agree on this!

I quite like the BB distribution model. It gets BB into the hands of crypto enthusiasts and ties its value, in part, to Bitcoin.
It's a hell of a lot better than yet another ICO like IOTA.

I like byteball too than IOTA, though it has transaction fee it has better features.

Re: What kind of economy will it be if bitcoin is a currency?
by
Quietman
on 14/12/2017, 05:28:58 UTC
For me it would be a good economy because it has great value and bitcoin is more convenient to use. How about you what do you think? Share your thougths.

Yup,, hoping the same. But if this happen it will cost our decentralized and unregulated bitcoin to a government controlled and a highly centralized cryptocurrency.. Are we ready for it,, me or all of us for sure will not find it interesting.. I don’t look bitcoin as an asset alone,, I also look at it as a currency because I’m using it directly to buy anything I want but it can’t handle our full society because it is limited and that’s the problem..

Maybe it will be possible if the price of bitcoin is already stable. No one would want to spend their money with unstable value. Bitcoin is good for investment. It is profitable. But I dont see it as currency but maybe in the future.

I don't find much flaws or negativity on holding bitcoin. When we go through the growth history we can understand the goodness of holding.

I agree. It really safe holding btc. The shifting of price is really amazing. The price of bitcoin at the start of 2017 is pretty low but the end only proves that bitcoin is really unstoppable. You will never regret your investment.

I hope not. But still it is hard to predict the future prices of bitcoin.  If today the price has reached the amount of $14,700, i hope there's only correction on it but will continue to rise until next year 2018.  I just sold bitcoin awhile for a price of around $14,500, so it was a good profit because I bought it when it was costing at $3,600 only.

Wow! You've already got a big profit right there. It is now 4x the price on the time you bought it. Nice move. And yeah, the price is very unpredictable. The delayed correction is still happening I guess. So the price might still decline though the impact is not that big. Hopefully this happen soon.

I thought it was impossible to see $20K this year. But I was wrong. It's not yet even half of the moth and bitcoin have already reached the $19K mark. Bitcoin's price is really unpredictable an somehow surprising. So for the next coming years. Probably 30-40K is achievable but I'm a bit worried for the possibility of big decline. Anyways, if it declines then its good to buy.

it could be, because we never know when the price is up, my friend's experience after long hold his coins in the money right yes yes was surprised and unexpected results in his can turn out great.

This was posted way back february when the price was still 1200$. But look at it right now. It has rose up 14x the previous starting price this year it 2017 is not yet over. It is still rising and rising. And the speculations will be probably hit next year. It's good to hold only if you doesn't have any expenses. Or you have back up funds for your living.

It's really amazing how bitcoin is growing too fast with just a short period of time. The phasing was really fast despite the FUDs and forks that has happened. I believe bitcoin will rise higher than today. I cant help but to get excited for the next year 2018. No one knows if there will be a great decline on the price. But I am waiting for that to buy bitcoin. And about the hacking of nicehash, i think it wont make a big impact since the bitcoins that has been hacked would still circulate.

Re: When Bitcoin is going to hit $20000 ?
by

on 06/12/2017, 23:35:22 UTC
I think bitcoin can reach $ 20000 by the end of this year, we can see today bitcoin prices make us all surprised with very high rise, yesterday I woke up and saw bitcoin price $ 12000 and today I see bitcoin price has reached $ 15000 what the hell with this price.

20K before the end of the year seems pretty fast to me.
But we also reached 10k quite "easily" this year.

I agree. 20K is achievable but I do not see it happening this year 2017. Probably earlier next year. So many FUD and forks coming so there is no assurance yet that btc will continue to rise this year but sure it will. We just dont know when.

Using Blocktrail has been great. Admittedly it doesn't catch all of it but it caches most. @DarkStar_, do you (or anyone else) know about an equivalent service for Eth addresses? Google search hasn't been good to me.

Good day Maam/Sir! Regarding the accounts connected to mine. I admit that Gracia0023 was also my account but it was already banned in this forum since the month of June that's why I used the same Eth address in this(Quietman) account.

And about the Wesimon, it was my sister who's using it. We had the same bitcoin address because that was the only btc address that was verified and is capable to encash btc. As you can notice we already had a different bitcoin address right now. We were not aware before that it was not okay to have the same btc address. But I assure you, I did not cheat to any signature campaign or harmed anyone by this account. I am very sure about it.

And for the remaining accounts, I swear that I am not connected to them. I hope you consider this.

Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?
by
Quietman
on 16/11/2017, 11:01:45 UTC
For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

I really dont look at bitcoin price, but its price is actually the reflection of its trend. Bitcoin showed tremendous growth and it is rest assured that will reach it peak value. Bitcoin value is ever growing, it will not surprise me when it hit the double of uta current price. I see bitcoin not as a form payment as of the moment so I wont look at its price, instead consider it as an asset so that I look at it as an ever growing personal wealth

by

Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin

I remember that on 1st January 2017 , the price of bitcoin is about $1000, but now we can see the price is already over $7000. To be honest, that is why some people said this is bubble since the unbelievable rising of bitcoin. However, let us look back upon the history, we can tell that Email subvert the postal industry, Amazon subvert the retail industry. Furthermore, Will bitcoin subvert the traditional banking?

Above is just my personal idea.If you like or not, I wish everyone here have a nice day.

Bitcoin is unstoppable right now. I agree, bitcoin has started this year so good and looking back to it's previous price, it is quite unbelievable that it will happen. Among any other cryptocurrencies, bitcoin can be haled as the most dominant of them all. Many corrections that has happened this year, but still bitcoin is standing firm. Though it's too early yet to say that bitcoin would subvert traditional banking, still the potential is very big. This era require will require digital currencies and bitcoin is one of the best candidate for it. No doubt why many investors are very confident in bitcoin.

Re: Isn't mining profitable now with increase in bitcoin price?
by
Quietman
on 15/11/2017, 11:41:17 UTC
The rise on the price of bitcoin relates to the difficulty of mining bitcoin as well. Yes, the price of electricity remains or if it rise only a little but still the level of difficulty becomes high as well therefore the profit did not change that much too. Also one of the factors that makes it hard is there are many people who already had interest in mining. Mining is profitable ofcourse and now It is profitable a little bit more than before.

Re: effect of BCH in BTC price
by
Quietman
on 15/11/2017, 10:21:59 UTC
1) Do you think Roger Ver  with his support to BCH will Kick bitcoin price and replace it with BCH or bitcoin will survive ?

2) Do you think this crash normal (7,800$ to 6,200$) or intended Huh

1. Though Roger Ver supported BCH does not necessarily mean it will replace bitcoin. There are far more support on bitcoin rather tha  BCH. It may hit bitcoin a little bitcoin leaving a very light impact but it wont stop bitcoin from going up. If there is a dump there is probably a pump!

2. Some speculates that it is the Whales that makes the price of bitcoin goes down. This could be true. Sometimes the dump in price is being manipulated to have confusion and panic to other holders.

Re: Are We Already Back On Track?
by

on 15/11/2017, 06:01:21 UTC

In light of what happened just last week where an apparent attack against Bitcoin was staged and manipulated by some groups supposedly connected with and to prop up the value of BitCoinCash, I felt a little bit discouraged because I realized that anytime the same thing can be done anytime and soon an attack can caused irreversible damages to Bitcoin.

Right now, things are getting back to normal and Bitcoin is showing the resiliency that many expected it would. Down the road, it is maintaining its strength in the $6,700 - $6,900 level and we all happy and satisfied with it. Do you think we are already back on track?

We never lose our track, these kinds of events usually happen. The dump is just normal compared to the previous dumps that occured it was quite a small percentage. There are just so many things that happens that most people associates to the decrease of the price of BTC. Bitcoin is unstoppable and it easily recover. Hodl. Smiley
