Very well, OP! Good luck to you if this story turns out to be true! I find it rather an interesting read, but I am sorry to say that the real-world scenarios are not that easy.

It is a pure reminder of the trading world and the risks associated with it. Every incident in the trading world is a learning for everyone, including the one who loses. This situation has told everyone that trading is not an easy thing to do, nor is it gambling. It becomes gambling if we do not play well.

Re: Bear markets are for building

We typically refer to a bear market in the cryptocurrency market when a significant coin fall threatens long-term stability. The bitcoin industry is at a pivotal point. Only those who can effectively utilize this period will prosper in the following bull market. To succeed in the cryptocurrency world, in my opinion, the bear market is essential. Both surviving and remembering when it's a good moment to restock your wallet is necessary here. The serious cryptocurrency investors will hopefully be able to accept this bear market.

Re: How Bitcoin manage to grow over time?

Bitcoin prices have always been fluctuating. The supply and demand keep going up and down and so, there is always a different value of bitcoin that you will get. But if you consider that deeply, you will know that the fluctuations are a reason why we are able to make profits.

Re: Is it a good time to start accepting BTC?

Well, it could be because a lot of people would already be trying to get rid of their bitcoins at the moment. Since the bitcoin prices are going down, many traders have a feeling that it is not a good asset to keep. But if you ask me, I would suggest taking advantage of the situation and collecting as many bitcoins as you can. Once the bitcoin winter is over, you will enjoy the spring.

Re: Was the coupling of Bitcoin to fiat a mistake?
by

Initially when Bitcoin was released, the developers’ motive of inventing bitcoin was not to replace fiat currencies, but to introduce a safe and faster network of transaction of money without rates of central bank. However, as the years progressed, bitcoin was seen by holders as a means to escape the fiat currency controlled by the Central authorities. This is when people started developing the idea that coupling of bitcoin was a big mistake. Personally, I do not think it was a mistake. The developers did what their goal was, which was clearly not to replace fiat currency.

In the present date, it will need an official declaration of the developers of bitcoin to decouple it from fiat currency. This will result in an unimaginable crash of BTC market cap and value, as till date all of it was dependent on fiat currency.

Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater

Bitcoin price crashed down for a few months due to a number of factors. One of the biggest and prime factors was the sudden cut off of demand and supply of bitcoin due to the sudden hike in inflation, the highest in 40 years, due to the russia-ukraine war. However, now, as we look into the daly price charts, bitcoin has been steadily recovering. The price of bitcoin is around $21.7k, and crypto experts are hoping that BTC will soon be back in its normal range.
I think it is a good move that El-Salvador did not sell its BTC holding, it will prove to be profitable in the long run.

I had a lot of expectations from El Salvador adopting bitcoin as a legal tender. But the current downward movements are giving me chills as to how the country would be dealing with the turmoil. They didn’t even get time to prepare themselves for the downfall.

I also doubt if newbies will be able to handle the pressure of the downward movements of bitcoin on their trading accounts. I know that it’s not easy to keep patience at the moment but there doesn’t seem to be another way of doing it. I am keeping my bitcoin safe and not selling it off any time soon.

It’s a great step to introduce students to Bitcoin. But make sure that you pass down the right knowledge, so always do proper research and make notes before you give a lesson. Also, try to make it easier for them. Use charts or diagrams to explain them better. Good luck!

Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value?

Bitcoin is not a physical asset. Unlike gold, which we use.  But bitcoin is unique in its own way. It is a form of information. You can’t duplicate it. Moreover, if it were backed up by something, it would become centralised, which would defy its whole meaning and its existence.

Stable bitcoin sounds like a myth to me. I don’t expect anything such to happen anytime soon. But I do know that there will be a time when bitcoin won’t go any further down. I can’t say much about what price it would be but bitcoin will bounce back and take over the market as always.

Falling bitcoin prices are surely a matter of concern for me but I have no idea what to do at the moment. Just when I decide to hodl, it shows an upward movement and when I want to sell it, the price falls. There is so much fluctuation in the market at the moment that there is nothing you can expect from your trades.

I don’t think there is any best time to buy bitcoin in a day. Best time to buy bitcoin is during a dip. Bitcoin, anticipated to be one of the potential cryptocurrency can yield high profits in the future.

Though the value has dropped below $19K, it still has potential to recover itself. Just like any other asset moves up and down, Bitcoin also has moved. And I am quite optimistic that it will soon rise again.

I don’t think with the pace cryptos are getting adopted they don’t need mass awareness. But yes individually we can contribute by telling about them to our near and dear.
