Well I'll put one more vote in for the .981 being better than .99

It's been running for 3days now with exactly 4Gh/s lower than .981 so i guess it's time to switch back.

one question about switching firmware:

Do you guys wait until a block is found before stopping your machines to upgrade?

Tech note**
one of the saturns that had a not-so perfect vrm was brought back to life permanently, by removing  the blue pci patch-cord, and plugging the pci power directly into the hashing board....  I attribute to a loose connection...

Phoenix, what made you decide to try this out in the first place?

They could have at the very least used spell check... or are they actually claiming their product alters asses...

The site is to a point where it almost has a "prank" feel to it, like someone just did it for shits and giggles and to see if it would get a mention on bitcointalk.

So this question is for those of you who paid with credit cards/bank loans and have reached "break-even" status.

Are you selling the coins at current prices to pay off the owed/remaining amount and take that off your back or are you holding in hopes that the price keeps climbing and do it later when higher?

@FUKT: which firmware are you on, and when this happens do you just sort to restarting them?

@markm: If it is the RAM, are there any workarounds to prevent it so far?  I had the same experinece, I couldn't ping the machines, i had to manually switch them off/on.

Well isn't this a nice familiar site...someone says blah blah blah and another says you are wrong, blah blah blah...

and now sorry for being off topic *ahem!*...

but anyone noticing that their Jupiters stop hashing randomly?  The miner webpage inaccessible and the putty window crashes.  When i reboot it starts up fine again, but 2 of the 3 crashed again after 4 hours.  Will keep track of how long it takes for the next crash.

Sorry Bitcoinorama, but I have disagree with this return policy and the line of reasoning. Lots of companies ship out advance replacement parts with a credit card security deposit, no questions asked. It's flat out lazy for KnC to stick to their guns on this policy and I highly suggest that they revise it for the future.

For the most part, KnC managed to rise above the competitors - why not listen to your customers and go the extra mile? For a company that managed to get it 90% right, it sort of seems complacent and myopic to not want to improve the areas where there is definitely needed improvement.

There are many of us that will want to order from KNC again and improving the customer service would really lock in customer loyalty.

Which OS are you going to be using?  Linux I hope, you will have a tough time getting Windows to recognize all 8 GPUs.

me 3.

Actually I mine because I want to sell bitcoins for a lot of money.  If that happens, mining will become "fun" as well.  I really don't think too much about supporting the network or contributing to blah blah and etc.

@Phoenix

It's a bit overdue but thanks for the EUREKA moment.  I always noticed my miners dropping over night but never could figure out why.  I spent a lot of brain power trying to get the temps down, never even dreamed of going the other way.  After reading your post i reverted back to closed case, window closed and set it to run for 12 hours.  All 3 jupiters improved 20-40 Gh/s.  I've repeated this enough times to believe it's not a coincidence.  For anyone receiving new miners, it's definitely worth a try to run them in the 60s.

For the last 80 pages or so the only thing I actually want to see from KNC is that demonmaestro and CYPER get their miners.
I hope this will be in less than 16 hours from now.

Yea i hope so too but when i talked to DHL yesterday(Monday) they told me that it wont be to me till Thursday. And by the looks of it it only moved from OH to NY Tuesday.  Cry What kind of Bullcrap is that. Huh

well fwiw, I had my first 2 jupiters delivered by UPS.  First was 5 days late, and the second was 7 days late.  Both times they left the $7000+ machines standing tall way up at the end of my driveway and left without ringing the door bell.  The 3rd jupiter was by DHL and I got it in 3 days, and the delivery guy had it in his hand when i answered the doorbell.  I guess what I'm saying is it's not just DHL.  All courier companies are perfectly capable of royally F'ing up any delivery at any given time...

Well they have about 5 working days to their supposed "all order by..." date.  So I guess us Day 2 people should have our orders soon enough.  If not, then I hope they offer some sort of compensation for us as well.

Well that was a nice read.

Two things I did not know about this forum previously:

1). Something tells me Loredo is a sharp cookie.
2). I finally figured out what Moderators actually do here.

Some people mine as a hobby believe it or not.  People are into a ton of different expensive hobbies.  Cycling, Saltwater Aquariums, Collecting watches etc...

For me it's collecting GPUs.  I love setting up mining rigs... to the point of disassembling them and doing it over again including the OS installation.  Does that make me crazy? mmm... maybe.  But I guess it doesn't matter as long as I'm enjoying myself.  That and I'm hoarding litecoins.

Because one day, computers will take over the world.  And they won't take physical currency.

I won't bother you with the details of what I do for a living... all i will say is that Fotoforensic is no where near accurate enough for it to be used in anything other than as a case support for something that has already been deemed original or altered by other means.  It is far too limited in what it can do and too inconsistent.  It can easily be tricked and sometimes original images comeout like a total hackjob after analysis as well.

I've already paid 240USD for shipping, but I'm looking at ways to improve my ROI, so saving on delivery is one of them + maybe safer and quicker + I get to see Stockholm (again).

Is your $240 for both miners? or each? and how did you choose the express method?

My shipping to canada is $136.80 per miner and I never had an option to choose any method.  It just says UPS ZONE 7.

And as far as I know according to the UPS zone chart, UPS ZONE 7 = importing from the United States, so I don't know what that's about.

Bitcoinorama--please stop defending yourself.

And especially stop doing it in gigantic novel-form that I can't even bring myself to read. It just comes off as 'the lady doth protesteth too much.' One or two lines should be enough. You're just feeding the trolls.
