Daily Bitcoin Analysis, brought to you by www.wolfpackbot.com. For more in-depth analysis, visit t.me/wolfpackbot_discussion.

Both on the way up and on the way down, Bitcoin has been the leader, whose price action is followed by the altcoins. However, some analysts believe that this might change in the future and the next bull market might be led by one of the top altcoins. Let’s see what the charts forecast...

BTC has turned down from $6,600 levels and easily broke below both the moving averages. This is a sign of weakness. The next stop is a fall to $6,250–$6,200.

A break below $6,200 will threaten the critical support zone at $6,075.04–$5,900, which has not been breached in 2018. Any break of this support can result in a sharp liquidation of long positions, dragging the BTC/USD pair to $5,450 and $5,000 within a short span of time. Therefore, traders can keep the stops at $5,900.

If the bulls support $6,200 levels, BTC can extend its stay in the range for a few more days.

Absence of follow up buying has pushed Ethereum to the 20-day EMA. If this support breaks, it can slide to the lower support of $200 and $188.35. The downtrend will resume if the bears sink prices below the Sept. 12 lows of $167.32.

If the bulls defend the 20-day EMA, the ETH/USD pair might attempt to rise above $225.12 once again. We will turn positive on a breakout and close above $249.93. The flat moving averages and the RSI close to 50 suggests that consolidation might continue for a few more days.

XRP is not finding buying support at higher levels. After breaking out of the tight range, it has corrected back to the moving averages that are sloping up. We anticipate the bulls to offer strong support at current levels.

If the XRP/USD pair bounces off the moving averages or from the breakout levels of the tight range, it will attempt to breakout of $0.565 once again. If successful, XRP can reach $0.625 and $0.7644.

BCH has turned down from the critical overhead resistance of $660.0753.

The current pullback can extend to the moving averages, which have completed a bullish crossover; hence, we anticipate a strong support at the 20-day EMA. The RSI has also corrected its overbought levels, therefore, the BCH/USD pair might try to breakout of $660.0753 once again.

We cannot understate how revolutionary our vision is, how dedicated to our mission we are, and how great of an opportunity is being presented to you as we launch this initial phase of utility token sale.  We are dreaming big, and we have the technical know-how, dedicated resources, and combined ingenuity to make this company the Next Big Thing, and our initial product, the incredible and revolutionary WolfpackBOT software, powered by our proprietary Werewolf Trading Algorithm is already in production, with our trading algorithm currently being successfully tested by a group of OVER ONE HUNDRED PROFESSIONAL DAY TRADERS who are seeing real results with our product Every.  Single.  Day.

Wow, the website looks really nice. Can you tell me a little more about your WolfpackBOT?

Thank you for the compliment!  WolfpackBOT is a GUI-based Trading Software that trades on all of the top Cryptocurrency Exchanges including Wolvex Exchange (once it launches). WolfpackBOT is able to trade one minute, five minute, 15 minute, and more candle sizes.  It's capable of trading on ALL Exchanges simultanesouly, and even all base trading pairs as well.  By doing so, a trader is capable of trading over 10,000 complete trades per day.

WolfpackBOT also includes many other options and settings, such as Crash Protection, and Werewolf Settings.  It is truly the fastest and most secure trading bot on the market as it doesn't hold any of your API keys as most other trading bots do that are available on the market.

Thank you for your inquiry and please let me know if you have any further questions,
mimagneto

Wow, that's a lot of really cool features.  I can't wait to test it out.  Is Binance, one of the exchanges that WolfpackBOT will work on, as it's the main exchange that I use?

Yes, our BOT will work on Binance as well as all of the other major cryptocurrency exchanges, and best of all, unlike other trading bots which make you pay additional subscription fees for multiple pairs and exchanges, our BOT will give you access to all of the exchanges and all trading pairs for one reasonable subscription fee.

Re: Is money the root of all EviL?

The actual proverb, taken from the New Testament, is that the "Love of money is the root of all evil."

I'd say that is pretty accurate.

Money, like anything else really, is a tool that can be used to help people.  In and of itself, it is neither good nor evil.

The problem arises when we start putting our desire for money above the love and compassion we should have for our fellow human beings.

There are one hundred billion galaxies in the universe, and 250 billion stars in the Milky Way, which is a pretty average sized galaxy.  I'd say that the odds definitely favor life.

Re: Why are suicide rates rising?

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that psychologically and spiritually, people are finding it harder to find meaning in their lives.  The old pillars of society such as tight-knit families, religion, etc., are harder to maintain in the information age, and collectively--and in many cases individually--it's hard for human beings to build worldviews and relationships to replace what has been lost.  A loss of meaning and purpose leads to desperation and depression.

I think it can do us a lot of good to go back and look at the stories and traditions that have been handed down by our ancestors and see what sort of meaning and lessons for a "good life" we can gather from these traditions.  I am a seminary student in my last year, and even though I already didn't take much of the Bible literally, I was very impressed listening to Jordan Peterson's Bible lectures (really more of a series of lectures on the book of Genesis) over the summer.

Re: The technological singularity
by

I read Kurzweil's book, but it has been several years.  Personally, I don't see the technological singularity taking place in the next eleven years.  Even at the pace that technology is moving, that just seems to be a bit too optimistic as well as psychologically flavored by Kurzweil's hope that he himself will be able to use the technological singularity to escape death and bring his father back to life in some form.  I've heard this called "The Rapture for nerds," and I tend to agree with that assessment.  We also have to keep in mind that there is still a lot we don't understand about the mind and human consciousness.  Is consciousness a result of the structure of the brain, or is consciousness a pre-existing fundamental aspect of reality that the brain somehow channels?  My honest answer is I have no idea, but it seems to me that in order to create consciousness, we would first need to understand what it is, and how it operates within the biological human mind.

Wow.  That was pretty neat!

I do think that in the long term, it's entirely possible for the price of Bitcoin to well exceed $100,000.  When that will happen or how long it will take to get there is another story.

It works very similarly to other forms of addiction.  Facebook "Likes" (or Instagram, etc.) give your brain a little hit of dopamine, and you return to get more again and again.

Easy.  The whole run from November through early January this past year.  I got in right at the right time to more than double my money between holding Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and XRP.  Managed to cash out at the right time, too.  Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that I've lost those profits trying to teach myself to trade throughout 2018, but it's an ongoing learning experience.  I have no doubt in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the long term.  We just have to have patience.

Re: Which is the most superior science?

There is no such thing as a "superior science" in my opinion.  All of the sciences--biology, physics, astronomy, chemistry, psychology, etc., have contributed to human understanding of the physical world just as things ethics, philosophy, and even theology have contributed to the human understanding of self the proper way to behave in the world.  You need at least a basic understanding of all of it in order to be a fully well rounded human being.

A very interesting read, but the prediction obviously turned out to be misguided.  I suspect, as others have pointed out, that there was an expectation that technology would have evolved more quickly than it has.  I do believe that in the long run, we will end up with a one world crypto based form of currency, but I believe that world is a long way off.  We are no where near that point in human history, in my opinion.

Re: Do sin taxes work?
by
RGarrison2018
on 25/09/2018, 00:10:38 UTC
This article, also from the Economist, gives a bit more insight into the nature of so-called "sin taxes."

Some pretty morbid, but interesting facts here.

"Advocates of taxes on vices such as smoking and obesity argue that they also impose negative externalities on the public, since governments have to spend more to take care of sick people. However, policy papers tend to overstate the economic costs of activities like smoking because they rarely account for what would happen without them. Although unhealthy people tend to cost governments more money while they are alive, this is at least partially offset by the morbid fact that they tend to die earlier, and so draw less from services like pensions.

Different vices have different economic costs since they harm people in different ways. Save for the exceptionally overweight, most obese people do not die much earlier. But they do tend to require more medical attention than their healthier peers, often spanning the course of several decades. So obesity does impose net costs on taxpayers."

This reminds me of a message I received earlier today--in a fortune cookie of all places.

"Failure is just training for greater responsibilities."

As somebody who has faced his share of ups and downs, successes and failures, it's important for me to just keep trying.  Persistence is the key to any success, especially persistence in the face of failure.

Re: How will VR influence society?
by
RGarrison2018
on 22/09/2018, 01:11:28 UTC
In 30 years people will live in VR. We will live in a box full of gel so we will fell like we are moving. You will receive food through tube, human waste will be sucked out. You will live a second life in VR. More planets will be available, you will have different themes, times etc.
Crypto currency will be widely use in it as it is most appropriate things for medium of exchange.
But unfortunately this will only be privilege of high class. These will be like a oasis.
Real world - Earth will be completely changed.
There will be waste everywhere, nature as we know it today won't exist. Humans almost destroyed themself. Depleting resources and not recycling those already used will turn against us. The atmosphere is changed so much you can't live "outside" for more then 5 minutes without proper equipment.
So VR will influence society a lot - survivors will live in them their whole life.

I could see that happening, but I'm more optimistic.  Hopefully we have more than thirty years til we reach this level of dystopia, though.

Re: Will we be able to control Artificial Intelligence when it understands us more?
by
RGarrison2018
on 22/09/2018, 01:03:23 UTC
I think the key may be to train A.I. in the best understanding we have of ethical philosophy, morality, and the meaningfulness of human existence and biological nature itself--the uniqueness and beauty of life.  Is it possible for a machine of such advanced artificial intelligence to gain an understanding of these things since they are in some sense subjective?  I expect that's one of the things that will have to be grappled with as the technology advances and improves.
