Barca vs Roma for todays game?

Final score is
Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Sunderland
and here is the winner
Palace 0-1 Sunderland

Surprising result. Thought Crystal would have easily one.

Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto will ever come out from his hood?

He probably felt like his work was done and wanted to just dissappear for whatever privacy reasons he had. I doubt he will ever return but it would be cool if he did. Maybe if he won the Nobel Prize for economics he might make an appearance but I still doubt it. would love it he won though.

Re: Why I am now not enthused about increasing the block size
by
Raeg
on 12/10/2015, 22:32:26 UTC
Now I've thought about it more I think that those pushing for very large block sizes really are rather confused as to what they think this will achieve. If you can't reverse your payment (due to say not getting something delivered) then why would any online purchaser prefer to use Bitcoin (and talking about escrows is just silly as people don't use escrows when normally purchasing things with credit cards as they don't need to - you can generally just complain to your credit card provider and the merchant will lose out which is what most consumers prefer).

When people use their card they are essentially using an escrow - Visa or Mastercard etc. Why wont coffeeshops etc just use a bitcoin payment processor like bitpay or coinbase etc? And I don't really see the issue in the buying coffee argument either. If someone sends money for a coffee or whatever else) what are the odds that it either wont confirm or will be a double spend? How would someone even try to double spend in this situation? Personally I don't see the issues here but I'm no tech expert. Bitcoin may need to be tweaked as it grows but i don't think there will be any issues it can't handle or overcome.

Oil money makes the prince above the law and own slaves. Cultural differences...

Rich Saudi Princes are the only people to commit rape and have maids now? Doesn't look like he's above the law since he was arrested, but I'm sure he'll pay the woman off. Money can sometimes buy you a get out of jail free card though.

Re: How do you guys cope with Losses?
by
Raeg
on 26/09/2015, 13:18:54 UTC
Generally by not gambling anything that I wouldn't be okay with losing.

This is the golden rule. I only bet a fixed amount every week on sports and if I lose I lose and wait until the next week. I'm currently a few hundred in profit this season and have never had any net losses so far so I don't know the feeling of losing a substantial amount but I know how any loses can make you feel and the buzz you get from winning but if you can't handle these you have a problem. If you think gambling has become a problem for you which it looks like it has I'd just really try learn from the experience and cut your loses before it gets worse. You might have lost all your money now but you can lose even more or even get into debt.

Re: OLDEST KORAN ‘DESTABILISES’ ISLAMIC HISTORY, SCIENTISTS SAY IT PRE-DATES MOHAMED
by
Raeg

The dating reveals the text to have been written between AD568 and 645, while the dates of Mohammed’s life are traditionally given as AD570 to 632. This means that at the very latest it was written before the first formal texts were supposed to have been collated, and at the earliest it was written before or shortly after Mohammed was born.

Doesn't carbon dating have a margin of error that can spam decades? I wouldn't get that excited about this prediction to be honest but of course the media will have a field day with it. Just like the bible it probably have nothing to do with the people who they claim wrote it nor is it obviously an acurate text any way (much like the bible).

Re: Special trains for ‘rude’ Chinese
by
Raeg
on 07/09/2015, 14:25:57 UTC
Often people just think tourists are rude because they just don't like foreigners so everything they do annoys them.

Quote
Some visitors to Mount Rigi in the Swiss Alps were upset by increasing numbers of Chinese tourists who blocked train corridors to take photographs, spit on the floor, and stood on toilet seats to relieve themselves, the Swiss Blick newspaper reported, according to Britain's The Independent.

I can understand the taking pictures because lets face it that's all your stereotypical Chinese tourists do, but it's not really rude. I'm sure the other things are exaggerations or lies to.

You do know that you can buy gold at any Chinese bank (and does your bank provide you with a gold buying service?).

I am living in South-east Asia,

Where abouts? In Thailand perhaps?

They say the teeth are important to keep healthy and I get that, but sometimes feel like these dentists are really about making money at our expense.

Thoughts?

Then don't go to them and let your teeth rot.  Do you expect them to give you treatment for free or something?

Robert Pattinson

He would be the best choice based on looks I think. I guess he isn't a bad actor either. I wonder how they'll make a film based on line  work?

b. if you don't revise the privacy settings you'll end up share everything with Windows;

This is what I don't like about things like this. Everything from computers to apps to social networks all want to know as much info about you as possible so they can either sell it or capitalize on it in some way. The future looks paranoid and claustrophobic to me withe everything tracking and tracing you and not much we can do about it without refusing to use all these things.

Re: OpenBazaar’s New UI Prototype Released , What do you think of it ?
by
Raeg
on 02/08/2015, 12:48:33 UTC
Any eta on when this thing is actually going to go live?

but how will they prevent people from selling alot of illegal stuff?
Who is 'they' ?

The OP devs obviously.

And what do you mean by 'illegal stuff'? Illegal according to whom? OpenBazaar is not operated from or associated with any country, region, or geographical location. Thus, there is no country or jurisdiction in particular whose laws apply. Therefore the whole concept of 'legal' vs 'illegal' loses its meaning entirely within the context of OpenBazaar, it's simply not involved here.

I doubt LE will see it that way.

that would hurt it open bazaars reputation.  Undecided
I seriously doubt that. Does the Euro or US Dollar's reputation suffer from the fact that billions worth of drugs and weapons are being purchased with it?

OB isn't a currency. If people can buy cp and drugs/weapons on there it isn't going to be used by most who just want a every day marketplace.

You want to do it for free? Why? I think most forums need trusted users or users that are already very active and no the rules. If you want to be a mod of most forums just be very active and useful and they might ask you eventually.

Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..."
by
Raeg
on 15/07/2015, 16:02:50 UTC
I don't know exactly whats the point to wait the price of bitcoin reach $1,000 or above. If you want profit, why we need to wait for many years. You will get profit if you can take advantage on the fluctuation price of bitcoin. Then its better for you to learn trading strategies and can get profit little by little in short time than waiting the price reach $1,000. For me, I would sell all my bitcoins if the price goes up atleast $50 higher, and buy it back when the price goes down.

I'd rather wait for it to hit 1k than risk keeping my bitcoins on an exchange just to make s tiny profit here and there. Trading is too stressfull.

Colombia are a good team but Brazil will win tonight, Neymar is an amazing player who can destroy anybody but don't forget about Firmino & Coutinho, two very talented players who will be stars of the game in the next few years, tryst me. Brazil will win this match by 1 or 2 goals.

I think it'll be close. Brazil haven't been playing their best, but I think they will take it 2-1. Could see a 1-1 draw though. Antyone got any thoughts on the Peru v Venezuela game? Think that could be a draw too.

Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto
by

Wait....
I am a little bit confused.
I thought Nick Szabo was a pseudonym...
You guys are now saying it's a real name?

Maybe it's his real name maybe it isn't. He seems to be kinda enigmatic and mysterious just like satoshi. I think he's probably the best candidate for being satoshi but I'm not entirely convinced and would need to some one decent piece of evidence over a load of circumstantial stuff.
