I have a new identity proposal, although its not as cool as the idea Satoshi is a time traveling alien AI.  A group of hackers compromise some of Satoshi's old accounts then immediately go after Mazacoin's old website having acquired old account info belonging to Anonymous Pirate.  Therefore, I postulate that Anonymous Pirate and Satoshi are the same person.  https://mazacoin.org/mazacoin-org-returns-after-compromise/

Did the lost Dutchman get lost  he has been missing a while don't you know?
I haven't heard if he found Lost or not.  What did he do to piss off the Lost Dutchman?
Why do you care about him?
Does anyone else feel that many users who were very active six months ago have gone missing since then?
Did you know that accounts can be sold?
Why would someone buy an account then not use it?

Did you know that the anagram for Did You Fart is Fruity Dado?

Are you trying to push us into looking for anagrams of "gleb gamow"?

What is the anagram for "Thanatos Oomiaks"?

They may not be mining, but there are some Oglala investors who have been buying mazacoin, they aren't all poor.   With the new block rewards, the price is fairly stable even with a low amount of trades on the exchanges.  However, it is still a long term investment as it will take quite a while for the development team to implement its proposals.  This is something new so its success is not guaranteed.  keep this in mind should you choose to purchase mazacoin.  Also, I'm sure guruvan would appreciate any assistance that would speed up this process.

Re: First Attempt To Spend My Bitcoins Failed
by
Raek
on 20/08/2014, 16:55:54 UTC
There's only one place near me where I can spend my hard earned Bitcoins in a public store. So after only recently finally sorting out my paper and online wallets, I thought that today I would attempt to spend some mBTC in public for the first time. After entering the bustling convenience store I loudly proclaimed with pride to merchant, "Can I pay by Bitcoin here?" After initially expecting a most enthusiast reply to my question, imagine my startled surprise when he replied "Um yes...", "...but I don't have the machine here". He then looks around at the other customers listening and shuffles on his feet. I then say, "okay then I'll take my business elsewhere" before I promptly left leaving my goods behind.

You didnt pay fiat!  Smiley

If merchants aren't prepared to adequately provide the means for customers to pay with Bitcoin then this monetary revolution will never take off. I'll be taking my Bitcoins and business elsewhere.

You should return tomorrow and try again. Its actually a bad sign if they accept BTC but so few people ask for it. If I were the manager Id ask myself if it was a bad idea to offer it since there is obviously no demand. If they fail again tomorrow, announce that you will return the next day, so they can prepare for you Wink

A lot has happened in the last year.  He may have been as enthusiastic about bitcoin as yourself at one time, might still be.  Definitely go back and apologize for being an ass and talk to him about his experiences with accepting bitcoin.  There is an opportunity to make a bitcoin friend here.  We'd be interested in hearing a merchants perspective, as well as seeing this thread turned into a successful bitcoin transaction.

If Satoshi is still around and has his keys, expect at least 1 million USD worth from his known addresses to be converted into fiat within the next year.  This is a necessary step if it is doable to convince the general public via the media that bitcoin has value.

The market sucks, I would like to have a list of vendors where I can buy curios made by the Indian Tribes, feathered hats, clothing and jewellery and anything else that is made there that I am not aware of.

Is there a list of vendors anywhere that export? It's late now and don't want to be lazy, will do some research tomorrow.

You could try the Pine Ridge Area Chamber of Commerce and see if there is anyone there who knows of some online shops.  http://www.pineridgechamber.com/

How about half the block reward going to the miner and the other half being divided equally among all the tribes that adopt mazacoin as an official currency?

Re: Mazacoin Behind the scene truths no ones considering
by

Mazacoin is supposed to be a "sovereign currency" anyway, so what does it matter? If it is true that the Lakota Indians approve of and support Mazacoin, then let them secure the blockchain and trade the coin among themselves. Why would the coin need to be approved by non-Lakota Indians for the actual Lakota Indians to start using them? That thinking seems to run contrary to what the goal supposedly was. If the fear is that malicious third parties may drive the value of the coin down if they are not appeased, then that should have been considered before it was heavily promoted to people who are primarily interested in making a profit from pumping and dumping coins.

Yes, Mazacoin needs a high value against the US dollar for the citizens to adopt it as the dollar is the currency in use.  They do not live in complete isolation from the rest of the world.  Keep in mind that those nations do not own their land in the way most nations do.  They have the use of it through treaty with the US, like Great Britain had the use of Hong Kong.  This is an immoral stance for the US in my opinion.  However, that's a different though not unrelated issue as it demonstrates the position they are in with regards to the power the US holds over those nations to force them to concede to US commercial or government interests that desire to exploit that land or whatever they want.  Mazacoin as a currency would be a step in the direction of self determination for those nations.

Since Mazacoin isn't backed by gold and doesn't have widespread use, it has to get that value against the dollar from exchanges.  As Mazacoin is gradually, over time, being accepted and used as a currency, it will function as a means of generating wealth to those nations that mine it and trade it.  The promise of wealth and ease of use over fiat generates acceptance.  So, yes, the exchange value is very important for the citizens of those nations to adopt and use it and improve their standard of living in the process.

if it was you i would go straight to cryptsy and buy a few hundred thou mazas and the IDEA i love

It does seem to be Payu.  Thankyou for the update if you are.  However, I can see how this is a valid concern, considering this user has only two posts for this year showing in his profile.

Why didn't you ask "don't they"?
Why are you arguing semantics?
I didn't. How do you come to the conclusion that I did?

If "to argue" can be defines thusly:  give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view.  Wouldn't this indicate an attempt at clarification and not an argument since no evidence was presented in conjunction with the question?

So a group of users are forking away from mazacoin proper?  I don't know how that will work, and I would expect Payu to announce any new dev team not associated with AP, not some random "bagholder" who has complained in the past about losing money on Maza and is only looking to get the price up so he can dump his bag and get his BTC back.

In my opinion, this would be a good time to get out until some coherent plan is devised and announced.

This coin could possibly make a comeback, but with a client that won't sync, a missing block explorer, a dev team apparently in chaos, and a block reward the size of the Atlantic, I suggest maintaining a view from the sidelines.

This should be considered a pump attempt until there is a statement from the development team.

I have recently been in contact with a nonprofit organization that wants to support or start a project to create a cryptocurrency for all Native/indigenous peoples, with an economic development fund held and dispersed by a transparently managed NGO. They are considering adopting MazaCoin for this initiative, but the recent doubts about the MZC development team and their commitment to the coin have given rise to the idea of developing a new coin instead.

Please let me know your thoughts on either option. PM me or post your reply. Thanks.

I imagine there will soon be a hat passed around collecting coins to buy a barrel of tar and some goose feathers, to give to you as a gift for your ideas.
