Yes you could get higher than that, your intensity is only at 12 and you have not overclocked your card.

Site has been updated again, it now contains almost all possible errors and problems you could have.

Also, I have mirrored cgminer 3.7.2 for Windows and Linux for people to download as kolivas has taken down the link for cgminer with scrypt support.

Comprehensive Cgminer Guide
by
Raen
on 13/01/2014, 18:12:19 UTC
Hello everyone,

I have made a completely comprehensive cgminer guide for anyone which includes information on how to set up cgminer, what the output in cgminer's screen means, how to configure your video cards for mining and also how to diagnose any errors you have. It includes most errors, the reasons they happen and how to fix them. It also lists common terminology and definitions in case you do not know what certain terms mean.

I will be continuing to add more to this guide as I solve issues with people so if you have any questions that aren't answered on the website please feel free to ask and I will then include them in the guide for everyone.

Good luck,

Selling 42 PTS for 0.5 LTC each.

1 PTS = 0.5 LTC, no confusion. Tongue

Total = 21 LTC for all 42

Feedback on NEW RIG
by
Raen
on 11/04/2013, 10:08:42 UTC
Hello everyone, I've been around reading for quite a while and have had my taste of using my current PC to learn as much as I can about mining and have decided to actually invest into a mining rig at this point. I have selected hardware based on what I think is appropriate and am just looking for feedback in case something I am choosing is a mistake, incorrect model or if there is something of better value that I can purchase for similar money. I will be mining LTC and any recommendations or help would be appreciated Cheesy

The hardware I've selected is:
CPU -> AMD A4-5300 Trinity 3.4GHz (3.6GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 65W Dual-Core Desktop APU ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16819113283 )
MB -> ASRock FM2A85X Extreme6 FM2 AMD A85X ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813157339 )
PSU -> CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply  ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817139011 )
RAM -> 1x Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820104262 )
GPU -> 3x SAPPHIRE 100352-2L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5  ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814202006 )

Now, I've heard on these forums that because of an OpenCL bug, you need to have more RAM than you have video memory, if that's the case I should get 12GB of RAM right? Also, are those the best video cards that I can purchase from Newegg for roughly this price? I was originally going to purchase MSI R7950 Twin Frozr 3GD5/OC Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667 ) ... but they are out of stock for I don't know how long and I'd rather not wait to find out if they will be getting them back in stock.

Last question, intel vs AMD? Does it matter? I've read that it doesn't matter, whichever is cheaper and has the slots available to pretty much go for.

Thanks for taking the time to read and I appreciate the help and support!

The hash difference is likely to be the Core clock and Memory clock speeds. Post what yours are set up at because those flags that have been posted are under the assumption you've overclocked which is rather normal to get above 600khash/s.

You probably won't have much success with that hardware without mining in a pool.

Try coinotron.com just for a test, it seems pretty accurate to me at relaying what the miner is telling me my hashes are at. Sometimes it's a little lower, sometimes its more but on average it's on par.

As far as I know, your video cards shouldn't be crossfired together. But I don't think that would crash your GUIMiner..

Yeah I agree that 300Khash is low for a 7950. Damned if I know why it's that low though.
