Re: Ethereum mining reward shrinking

Uniswap is always the top user of gas. L2 platform users are increasing rapidly.

https://twitter.com/mudgen/status/1365504846678392833

Quickswap doesn't have fees like uniswap, it is Layer 2.

Gas Fees will continue to drop dramatically, new miners that came into the space start to cry as profits shrink.

A lot of people jumped in when gwei was hovering around 300-500gwei.

Ethereum gas fees will continue to drop which makes profits heavily decline. A lot of the uniswap trades have moved over to layer 2 such as quickswap.

A lot of new miners are going to be left bagholding hardware worth less than half the price they bought it for. Its not too late to sell your gpus.

You really thought profits would stay high? You know how many people would love to make an income from home doing next to nothing?

Staking eth is great if you want to support the ecosystem but if your only seeking profit there are a lot of defi platforms where you can make over 10%.

Absolutely disgusting scamming exchange, go read the hitbtc reddit. They constantly play the KYC stall tactic, they straight up steal your money. They make you run in circles and after all the run around they never let you have access to your crypto.

STAY AWAY FROM HITBTC

I do think mining profitability will drop tremendously over the next few months. That being said, I don't think crypto will ever experience huge crashes like it has before. (top cryptos). So much fiat money has been created recently, the dollar is losing value rapidly. Corporations are pushing heavily into crypto. This is not like the last bullrun and crash.

Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees

It seriously puzzles me how BTC supporters won't say anything positive about BCH, bitcoin cash is what bitcoin used to be. Low fees for peer 2 peer payments. I guess people will just shill whatever they hold and everything else is a scam though, lol.

NO.

You can refer to the discussions that went on for YEARS.  Keeping the blocksize small and scaling via layers is the tradeoff that Bitcoiners have made and the market seems to still agree.  Hashrate is continuing to drop for BCH while it continues to explode for BTC and the ratio is approaching 1:100 BCH:BTC.

Framing the issue the way you did is quite incomplete.

What you have are two competing paths:

Prioritize low fees to build a payment network first.
Prioritize value storage and develop payments network afterwards.

You are betting on the first.  Or are you just talking your bags?

I know the arguments and have been in crypto for a long time. Many people on r/BTC believe bitcoin was infiltrated by banks so it would be crippled as a payment network. Its not a mystery why so many bitcoin supporters from the early days jumped on bitcoin cash, such as Roger Ver.

Prioritizing value storage for the poor man makes no sense when he has to pay $20 for a transaction.

I do own both because the market doesn't always behave rationally and the big money still seems to be on bitcoin.

Gamers are their long term market and miners come and go. NVIDIA is really just doing this to show that they care about their core gamer crowd because right now gamers are seriously angry about all the jacked up prices due to mining.

Its going to be the same story as last time, hashrate will keep skyrocketing and profits will drop drastically, then all these new miners will be left bagholding their hardware that will be worth next to nothing.

You know how many people would love to earn money sitting home doing no work, A LOT, barrier to entry in mining is so low and it gets flooded with new miners looking for an easy paycheck.

Yes, BCH is finally going up and it s value will be recognized. With lower fees it is really valuable. It has proven to be worth holding it.

Don't count on it

It looks like big players are starting to come around to BCH. Look at how much BCH greyscale has bought recently and Kim Dotcom is heavily supporting bitcoin cash.

It seriously puzzles me how BTC supporters won't say anything positive about BCH, bitcoin cash is what bitcoin used to be. Low fees for peer 2 peer payments. I guess people will just shill whatever they hold and everything else is a scam though, lol.

Anyone here have different approach, and it's interesting to know about other people

I pay 0.15 USD kw/h here, so it's not cheap, I don't have conditions to compete with people paying 0.05 or even 0.10c, so my plan is to mine until I have the money to pay all the costs + 10% or 15% of profits
Anything less than that, doens't worth, and I'll probably sell the hardware and wait until new cycle of mining / bull run

I learned a lot in 2017 and 2018, and even me, who really like to deal with hardware, rigs, pcs, will stop sometimes
In my opinion, when the bear comes, it's best to stop, sell and wait until find a good bargain, look at ETH, in 2019 you can grab a lot of coins dirty cheap, without any efforts

For people who pays 0.05c, it's better to keep mining all the time, or people who are plaining to go solar, it's a good investment

Future crypto market won't have the same type of cycles, it has become much more mainstream and we won't have the huge corrections we have had before.

BCH has done terrible vs BTC since it launched, that is no secret. I really don't see why so many people have such a strong hatred against Bitcoin Cash. It does suck to pay $20 for a bitcoin transaction when they used to cost a penny.

Keep in mind that trezor.io can see all your crypto activity so if you want more privacy you can use trezor with electrum and mew and do everything offline instead of using trezor wallet software.

Also many paranoid people say that if your using windows you should assume everything on your screen is being watched and sent to Microsoft.

Nothing comes for free in life, if you want to succeed in life you need to set goals & work really hard to achieve them. Nobody here is going to give you a free ride so stop begging, get up off your ass & start hustling.

umm... Working hard won't make you rich. The hardest working people in the world are very poor.

OP, billionaires give away money all the time, maybe try to contact the charities of Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Mckenzie Bezos, if its for a good cause they might listen.

There won't be a heavy crash similar to what happened before. I just don't see bitcoin dropping 80% again like it has done before. There is too much institutional money involved in crypto now.

Bitcointalk is still ok for new coin annoucements but most new crypto discussion is on reddit and various telegram/discord groups. Its a high risk high reward move and vast majority of new cryptos will end up worthless.
