Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies

Any idea why my balance of coins on the dashboard would show up correctly but my balances in the tax report closing position does not match.

the primary difference is around 1 coin that doesn't exist anymore that was swapped for another coin. so instead of showing 10000 of coin A and 0 of B and C it is showing 3000 of A and 5000 of b and 2000 of C?

Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver

So I have had my old silkcoin wallet on now for almost a day and I am stuck at block 1758335. Unless someone else has coins in their old wallet and stake, nothing will happen. I will contact a few 'old' holders and see if they have any in their wallet still. The chain will not move unless someone stakes.

Is there anyway the weaver could help? I know my old silkcoins staked while they were there waiting for the swap. Any chance you guys can move some old silk back and get the chain moving again so the rest of the old silkcoin holders can send to weaver for the switch?

I could help as well
I've minimum 4 connections and online for few days now, but have less than 1 Silkcoin in the wallet and stuck at block 1758335,
What's the minimum amount needed to begin staking?
Wallet address BL3N6pvch3VUX3xb5QjzCEJHqtMF1ESURv

I will fire up my silkcoin chain too and leave it running to process blocks. I can't promise this (though I've talked about it with Matt already so it shouldn't be a problem), but I will try to have a good amount of silkcoin from weaver -- that have already been swapped -- sent to my wallet so I can generate new blocks to make sure late swappers can send their coins. Once the swap period is complete I will send all of the silkcoin back to weaver to be burnt with the rest.

It seems this is becoming too common of a problem and this is the way to fix it. I would hate for any SILK holders to be unable to swap. That would not be fair.

I will post the ip of the node once I have it up and running for you guys.

OK my wallet has finally synced. I am at block 1758336 now. If anyone would like for me to stake some this is my addy:  BSYpffq7CCBcGi9yjfoaogK9fHxZqPm2E6
Let's get this chain moving again so the remaining people can do the swap.

Mine is back up as well, no coins in it though: BRZXvavXnTHoYxuBMr54dtxoCMqGbSTb2t

Im trying to sync my wallet, it says there are no nodes, i see others are having the same issue.

Do i have to add a list of nodes to the configuration file?

yes. do one of the following

1. make a silk.conf and add these nodes.

addnode=162.243.163.103
addnode=slkexplorer.silknetwork.org
addnode=37.228.255.192
addnode=159.203.111.196
addnode=73.130.81.250
addnode=71.115.160.71
addnode=72.190.16.92
addnode=91.220.151.240
addnode=82.73.172.120
addnode=173.76.182.122
addnode=159.203.100.25
addnode=104.238.186.122
addnode=109.193.126.51
addnode=192.40.88.72
addnode=45.63.16.17
addnode=222.5.183.201
addnode=188.126.72.192
addnode=77.244.5.13
addnode=46.83.237.242
addnode=84.193.211.3
addnode=84.195.38.128
addnode=188.220.46.41
addnode=94.68.189.58

or 2

Open the debug console in the wallet and type "addnode 162.243.163.103 add" and hit enter. repeat for as many nodes as you like

Then wait.

Got wallet working after adding nodes thanks, it was extremely fast. I'm impressed with it so far. Very smooth. Now I just gotta finish converting all my silkcoins when weaver is back up.

Price is creeping up nicely, anyone care to make a prediction for this time next week?

I'm gonna go for 5000 Sat.

5000 is too low for a crypto of this magnitude. We can can hit some historic highs on this one when all is said, and done.

EDIT: oh, you said by next week. Well, that's a pretty bold statement, but anything can happen in the crypto world the word gets out.

5K isn't bold if the software is good. We'll have to test it first, I have a feeling it will be good. Smiley

But I hadn't bought up my share of really cheap coins yet... my money was tied up in WSOP gambles.... now now i have to buy on rising edge....

2 BTC until Silk Coin is worthless and needs to be traded in xmr instead of BTC.... is someone purposely driving price down or was it all the bs on this thread that did that....

I know it's off topic, but does anyone see BTC testing the $1200 range again?  To me looks like it crushed long time resistance lines... Also I think this could be the beginning of the China global economic meltdown...  By October I believe we are in for a world of shit again with the global economy thanks to China.
That would be a great boost for the crypto movement

Anything is possible with the BTC price but I doubt $1200, Tend to agree that China is going to tank here shortly.

The last thread does say to start a new one, so most people should look, but i personally had issues finding this one since title doesnt say silkcoin, just silk, found it after searching for darksilk instead.

Cinni Dev have you thought about my previous post?

I know your having issues getting ahold of anyone at mintpal but i think this is a solid idea

Idk about everyone else but when i log in to mintpal it still shows my cinni balance.

Theoretically that means moolah/mintpal knows exactly what is owed to everyone and the addresses for cold storage.

that means it is technically possible (although maybe infeasible) for moolah and cinni dev to email everyone with a cinni balance a new unique private key, which everyone imports into a new wallet, hardfork the chain and destroy all the mintpal coins/addresses/block transactions and create replica coins sent immediately to the addresses owned by the private key. Then everyone moves there coins to their own addresses with a different private key since its not really private anymore.

Probably some more technical detail needed but i think this would do the trick.
