I predict that we'll be filthy rich by the next halving of 2024. Grin

Are we? Grin

You make me curious a bit, I remember selling a lot, but bought back.... I don't know anymore, hope you did and doing good

Haha yeah, I sold around 2021 ATH but bought back around late 2022 & lost quite a bit on FTX.

But of course, sbf wasn’t going to stop me from earning back my BTC.

I'm doing great, thanks! Did well on my BTC holdings, but paperhanded my COIN/MSTR holdings just before elections.

Thought of letting y'all know... I lost a lot at FTX. Like really, A LOT. For a long long time, I won't be in a position to re-enter BTC. I'm so done.

"Not your keys, not your coins"

At the end of the day, I think y'all outperformed me. It'd not have happened if it weren't for Sam, though. But... whatever.

Beware guys, he's indirectly asking for a selfie photo with your passport, and there's a good chance that he uses it on crypto-exchanges for verification purposes and other related stuff.

We pumpin'... hope not again Bartin' after a couple of hours.
Well I did my part

@ImThour might come back once/if BTC goes down to show me the quoted post. Let me make it a bit clear that the position is hedged by the BNB short. So I only lose in case BNB/BTC pair goes up.

Yeah, but if you are at 3x how much of a pump do you feel good enough to close the position?  how short-term of a play are you making?  I suppose you are paying something for the BNB or whatever it is that you borrowed - when you are using 3x versus 1x..

So there is a price to pay to hold it for a long time, but if the BTC price shot straight up to $35k (within a day or two), then you might not even close it - if there did not seem to be any pause in such UPpity.. (remember October 2019 we had a move from $7,200 to $10,200-ish.. something like that in 12 hours?.. I know that those were different times, but we also know that sometimes unexpected shit does end up happening in bitcoinlandia from time to time).

Ummm... few points:

1. I'm not paying any interest on these as these are COIN-settled delivery futures positions on Binance (they are interest-free).

2. It's not really 3x leverage, I can make it up to 3x but if you calculate through the liquidation price, it's less than 3x. It's the same leverage level across both, BTC long and BNB short (i.e., if BTC halves = liquidation and if BNB doubles = liquidation).

3. There is no particular target for this position; it's primarily to remain short on BNB/BTC pair without paying any interest. Entered it at 0.0141 BTC per BNB, and it's currently at pretty much the same price. I guess I'll probably close it at around 0.0110 BTC per BNB and get to keep the profits.

Someone's working real hard to make the chart look as uglier as possible... on literally every timeframe.

Brutal close to the weekly/daily coming.

Basically any leverage is suicide if you're not careful enough.
Also opening any trade without reading charts is not careful too.
How you doing, already 7% down in an hour or so.

You gonna keep it open I guess, right?

It ain't 7% (not at least yet lmao), but yeah, of course, no stop-losses.

Is it going to work, boss?

Is the 200-week MA going to start to serve as resistance rather than support?

that would be something, no?

It was nice knowing 200-WMA, and even though we put our trust into it before, it's time to forget it and all similar log models. We're probably going to remain stuck between $15k-$30k for a few years now; just SOMA™ prediction though.

Think July will be quite green... Better CPI, Fed hikes 50 bps instead of 75 bps, stonks recover, etc. Been a lot of bloodbath lately.

4h close looks good. BTC looks ready for ~$21k if you ask me. But as cAPSLOCK mentioned, volume is still bad.

but what if stonks start dumping extra hard on Monday?  Then what?  What about all the necessary liquidations of things like FTX Celsious et al.

Stonks closed on Monday. And I don't think FTX is in any trouble at all; in fact, most probably (from my sauces) Sam first caused the LUNA blowup, 3AC blowup, Celsius and other on-chain liquidation chases. Now he's really putting Tether on a stress-test.

But each of these things once had to be tested, and weaker schemes had to be broken, so if Sam is the one doing all this, it's better as money will most probably rotate within the industry (and/or Congress lobbying in favor of crypto) rather than going to bigger tradfi firms.

Made my first BTC purchase after a big while. My ~20% portfolio = BTC. And this ain't a trade or something, it's the long-term hodl.

For the remaining 80%, I'm gonna wait & be extra cautious throughout the year. Going to keep watching Fed's actions & speeches closely. I won't mind getting more BTC exposure at a bit higher price in case I miss the bottom, but I really wanna see Fed's behavior getting a bit softer than right now for further BTC exposure. As of now, dollar is just too strong to ignore.

~35% portfolio = BTC

I'm not sure how I took the extremely bold step, but now I'm 80% in BTC.

40% long-term stash and 40% short-term (for a bounce to $30k or something).

Apparently, short-term stash starting to look like long-term too.

-.-

No bouncing back so far; this is so ridiculous.
