Re: What are the factors that will help you get merits?

Just be real on this forum, learn from others, give quality contributions. To tell you how to earn merit is has no straight forward answer than you have to be smart in learning from what people that are getting merit are posting. After you have done that, try and know who the merit source are and the boards they visit more. But you do not have to depend on merit source, I mean if you do not find the merit source, they will still later see your work and merit you.

Thanks for the advice! Well that's what I've been doing, learning from others backing it up with readings too! I do agree that there is straight forward answer as what I as observed too with other members here. It really lies on the quality of your contributions, I'm trying to engage to fruitful conversations here too so that I could lean not just the system here but also the things that were discussed

Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling..
by
Rakker116
on 09/11/2022, 08:27:34 UTC
..
The question is how to achieve that? In today's world and as a father myself, I can tell you that it's practically impossible to control or even keep an eye on your children 24/7. Kids, if they are not out with their friends, they will stay in their rooms with phones/tablets/PCs and open access to the internet or watching TVs with all sorts of ads. How can you protect them from all this and limit their exposure to ads and content which is not suitable for their age?
It is impossible to control or even supervise your children 24/7 but you have to keep trying to keep your relationship with them closer. If you can establish that close relationship, they will be more open to you and willing to tell you a lot about their world.

I see this trend occurring because parents are busy with their work, so they are less able to supervise their children and don't even know what their children are doing. As parents, we must try to approach our children because with today's technological advances, we can invite them to study together and not leave them alone playing on phones/tablets/PCs and others. When we can explain what is good and not good for them, they will slowly understand and not try to try. Parental supervision is very necessary for this.
Definitely need parental supervision and control over what your child does with a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
And if you notice suspicious sites that the child went to, it's always worth finding out what those sites are.  This definitely applies to online gambling.  By the way, it is not always necessary to directly ask the child why he went to some sites.  This can only hurt and he will be offended that you are following him.  And even worse, he can make password entries and you won’t know at all what he is doing on the Internet.
In short, one must be careful and careful in communicating with the child on the issue of communications on the network.

Well, I do agree with that. that parental supervision and proper child education are required It is also true that parents can't monitor their children 24/7; thus, they can't watch the child's internet activities. There is a lot out there competing for children's attention with the rise of gamification, social media, and online gaming. When children engage in online media that resembles gambling, they may be exposed to more untrustworthy websites. However, some children are more tech-savvy than their parents. Shall we say a parent can simply block apps or restrict certain apps for children aged 10 or below because for sure the child doesn't know what the gambling apps are or the apps that are not suitable for them? But how about those children under the age of 18 who are now able to understand and manipulate phone apps or websites? We can't simply say that we can just communicate with them if they do things at their own will right? How will you be able to solve this? Children older than 10 years old probably know how the internet works and how they can encrypt passwords or hide their internet activities. It would not be adequate if parents put their child's internet activity under 24/7 surveillance.

Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling?

Hey guys!
Some of us are occupied in i-Gaming industry, some are just players...but apart from leisure&profession there are still old good offline casinos all around the world.
Today Im thinking if visiting an offline casino is out of date or still a good place to visit while travelling?
Do you visit casinos when you travel? How often? Which ones?
Let's remember of old good times Cheesy

In fact, travel is always a time for relaxation and entertainment.
If there are legal casinos in the area where you are traveling, then of course why not go to the casino even if you have never played in a real casino before.  You will immediately feel the difference with how to play online and how it happens in a real classic casino.  I assure you from my experience - you will like it.  And the mood will immediately be great, but of course if you stop in time and do not lose more money than you can afford. Smiley

Well as for me, whilst I travel, I don't usually go to casinos or places of the same kind as I want to enjoy the place that I am with like exploring more about it aside from that industry. But when time comes that I can be able to visit Vegas well it would be a miss for me if I will not go into casinos. I believe that offline are not that outdated there are just few things that offline casinos lack. Well as I can see online casinos is there for convenience and safety of the players. In addition, the gaming selection in an online casino is much larger and more diverse than in land-based establishments, where the space of the gambling halls does not allow for many gambling machines. Well if you want to feel the true atmosphere of casinos and gambling better experience it in offline casinos.

Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3

The fight won't be easy for the both fight,  the two men are strong fighters. The issue akaho has  is age, I don't know if age will a bareer for him not to be able to fight this fight.  Casimero is another rough fighter that I know he can challenge Akaho in this fight. I would like to see casimero how he will fight this match .

Casimero, in my opinion, has a good chance of winning the fight, but I am still concerned. Without disrespect to the opponent, who also has a great record, Casimero has the better opponents in terms of experience and quality of opponents. Objectively, I believe Casimero will win the fight. Of course, Akaho had trained as well, so there are some odds. The question here is how Casimero would enter the fight. Is he going to be fully prepared? Would there be any issues with your health or weight? Was the training program beneficial or efficient? Casimero can still beat Akaho if he is 80% conditioned, in my opinion, but it will be difficult. But, if Casimero is 100% conditioned for sure he can beat this opponent. With the current promoter, Casimero should aim for knockout in this fight. The pressure here is in Casimero, his haters were present from the time his Bantamweight title was stripped. If he loses this fight, then many critics would throw negative comments on him.

Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering.
by
Rakker116

Let's be honest, money laundering is the best thing that can happen to a casino and there is where most of high rollers comes from. I have seen some rollers in the past that runs some huge scams and then go to the casinos to play with the scammed money and with that justify where they get the money from after hitting some huge wins.

Nowadays most casinos has KYC, but i don't think that is enough to stop the money laundering, what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

According to the Gambling Money Laundering Regulation, all users entering a casino must undergo a manual KYC evaluation, which includes identity and verification, every time a player deposits, wins, or spends more than €2000. (enforced by the Gambling Commission). Then, as part of ongoing monitoring, additional due diligence must be performed to confirm the initial discovery, as well as more sophisticated business ties, and to ensure that staff is trained to recognize problematic regulatory activity. All wagers made with online bookmakers must be fully traceable.

Couldn't agree more, money laundering is just their way to get their money clean from all the illegal activities they did behind the curtains, mostly, there is a big organization that we couldn't even imagine behind these things and those kinds of people you've mentioned are all connected and part of the big organization, if not, they are just under their payroll especially these high ranking police officers and government officials.

I do agree money laundering does not only take place in just one process. It takes steps. Concealing where your money came from is a form of serious crime. However, those people can easily get away with it ( maybe they have the power and authority because of the money).Criminals can now transfer and withdraw money without being detected thanks to online banking and cryptocurrencies. They can remain not totally anonymous but they are increasingly being used in blackmail schemes, the drug trade, and other criminal activities due to their anonymity when compared to more traditional forms of currency. Thats why it is also important to combat money laundering. Most of us are aware of the anti-money laundering efforts of different authorities and agencies however its still not enough though. What are your takes on this?

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?
As almost every casino has KYC system where kyc is required when someone invests huge money or wins huge amount.  In that case I don't think a crypto casino can be a big cause of money laundering.  Because if someone is doing money laundering there then his identity will be revealed due to KYC so I don't think anyone will choose crypto casino as a money laundering route.
KYC can prevent money laundering cases, but money launderers are smart enough to move their funds from one place to another and know how much money they can spend in one place. Of course, they are so experienced in money laundering that it can make it difficult for casinos and other places of business to trace the source of that person's funds.

If there are customers who often play at the casino and spend very large sums of money and have a close relationship with the casino owner, it will make it easier for them to launder their money there because the casino owner will not suspect them.

Of course, technologies to track these money launderers are still improving throughout each year because these guys are also getting smarter each and every year. Experience help them to evolve and evade the new technologies. Other than that, casinos and authorities are already tired in chasing these guys because they knew that money launderers keeps on outsmarting them, they are just patiently waiting for some mistakes that will reveal these guys in what they are doing before making a move.
Money launderers never wait based on a method.  They launder money in various ways.  And they are constantly getting smarter and coming up with different new ways, so gambling may be a way of money laundering but it doesn't work very well. They use other methods more than gambling sites to launder money

Indeed, casinos and gambling houses aren't their only options where to launder their money just to keep it safe from authorities who are trying to track them down. We can't mention it all here because it's just too many to mention. Every year they found new ways and they have the right people who thinks of it.
Money laundering is never done by one person.  They have a group for money laundering and in that group many types of people are involved like government party influential people, big businessmen, many bankers, police etc. And they find different ways.  Even if it involves crypto.  Not so much associated with casinos

Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy?
by
Rakker116
on 25/10/2022, 11:10:13 UTC
Having a personal strategy to me isn't just the key but the ability to stick to it, is. I have been trading synthetic indices for over 6months and I feel it is better to have a working personal strategy and keeping to it, even at the days and times of loss.

I'm seeking to know if having a personal trading strategy has been able to enhance your trading profitablity and if you really keep to a particular strategy that worked for you even when it seems it's failing you later on and for how long do you stick to this strategy?

Personal trading strategy is not something that can be accomplished in the blink of an eye. Personal trading strategy is an acquired skill over time. Imagine being surrounded by traders who make trading their way of life. Do you believe they all share the same strategy? How many people do you know that make a comfortable living by replicating another traders' same trades? How many millionaires attribute their success solely to imitation? Everyone would quit their jobs if the road to riches was so simple.

Personal trading strategy will help you gain skills that will be useful in the long run. One example is self-reliance; when you have your own trading plan, you do not need to rely on the strategy of others. You will discover and build abilities that will help you and that no one can copy. Look for assistance but avoid crutches. Never depend your trading approach on another trader or "expert.". Next is sustainability, having done the trading on your own would guarantee your future. Dependence on other trading strategy would not give you assurance. What will happen if they do not share their trading secrets anymore? Or what if their strategy is not effective with the current market situation? You must focus on building your approach as this allows you to adjust to change and continuously enhance your plan.

I believe if you want to be successful in trading, building your own strategy is essential. You will not build a strategy that you might think will fail later. There is no such thing as one size fits all, thus having your strategy would help you assess if this is effective or what are the things you need to work on.

Hope this helps! You'll gonna be successful too!

Sure that gambling is entertaining but many people are using it as a profit also. Nothing wrong with it since gambling is entertaining because of taking up the risk and also considering the price. It could also be a source of profit because of the great prizes you can get. Anyhow, the online gambling site im using right now is really fun and entertaining and lots of great prizes beholds there  Grin

Online gambling sure is entertaining!  Grin but we gotta set rules for us not to be addictive and blowing ourselves up. I set a few rules with for me not to be addicted and a problematic gambler when gaming. Setting a time would be really helpful for you to control and maintain your online gaming. Be sure not to bet all your money or a really big one!!!  Grin or you'll lose yourself ending more money will be spent. The online gambling site ive been using is really entertaining and amusing but we got to maintain the gaming  Grin
