Re: Stuck ethereum transaction
by

I had a similar situation with an Ethereum token and Meta Mask. Don't know what you're using for a wallet, but what worked for me was going into the MetaMask settings, then advanced, then reset. I'd make sure you jot down the transaction history or save the etherscan link so you can check to see if it works. Then there was another help topic on etherscan I found that is a little more complicated but seems to be the next step if the reset in MetaMask doesn't work.

https://info.etherscan.com/how-to-cancel-ethereum-pending-transactions/#replacing-cancel-pending-transactions

Hope it helps.

Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond are both part of the lightning network. Look for Bitcoin Gold to follow Bitcoin Cash price trends in the near future.
What are you talking about? this is more than shit, you probably do not even know what bitcoin gold is. Both coins are shit, no one should put a single dollar in those coins if they do not want to lose money.

You should learn about software, you sound like the idiots on TV saying Bitcoin is worth nothing. Lightning Network. Mark my word. Lightning network. Do you think the BTC team is going to use another brand to operate their microtransactions on or let Stellar and Ripple dominate the micro-transaction markets? You must be kidding me. Learn how to code. Python or NodeJS would be a good place to start if you want to learn about Bitcoin.

I'm still waiting on my redemption coins. This is the worst cryptocurrency on the market next to BitConnect. At least Bitconnect paid commissions, PAC won't even redeem tokens in a timely manner.

I guess we're all in the same boat. I used to have a few million Paccoin, but now it's only a few thousand, and altogether only worth about 10 cents - Quite a pathetic fall from it's former high just 2 months ago!

I have never recieved my redemption coins, how long did it take for them to swap your coins out?

It's been over 3 days since I sent my old PAC coins to the redemption address, how long until I receive my new $PAC. The price is rising on Cryptopia, I hope it doesn't take so long that investors miss a chance and selling off some new $PAC for profits. How long is the coin redemption suppose to take?

Hi Guys
Yobit had the PacCoin to the new $Pac swap 1st March they then deleted the old paccoin from there systems and started trading the new $PAC but on Yobit they do not use symbols so deleted the $ off the PAC and are trading with PAC, so try not to be confused if you try sending old paccoin coins to the new PAC ( $PAC )

Do not send the old Paccoins to that wallet in Yobit or you will lose your coins. only $PAC from the new wallet will except $PAC coins

Cryptopia in New Zealand  did the swap of old Paccoin to the new $PAC on the  28th February but have not opened $PAC for trading yet, we don't know when they will be opened as they at one stage had on their website 2 more weeks, Sad

If you have not done redemption then I would suggest you do it as soon as you can, you only have this month at 1000 paccoin to 1 $PAC then next month it drops to 2000 paccoin to 1 $PAC

Want to do the redemption now, then here is a document to show you how, we have made it easier for you.

That is this is an easy step by step chart to help you set up and exchange your old PacCoin for the new $PAC

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1khl3YOAzJMWIhtW0QSjpVikMiJb4gMWObe7XQbksPZA/edit?usp=sharing English
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KO7l_vmnH0isXqYSUmwZLStJnuoZJPnIKPqDISOGYAA/edit                   Japanese
https://docs.google.com/document/d/15wIl9mMlZSoA4ElGvChGncrUvCk7cf-LZG04eVOnR_A/edit?usp=sharing   French
https://www.dropbox.com/s/cz1hwhu0h064q59/PAC_White_Paper_2018_Final-RUS.pdf?dl=0                         Russian

Now if you find that too hard still, the Moderators on the official PAC Peoples Alternative Choice discord group are really helpful and the link to it is here>> https://discord.gg/QWm6Qrs

There is really no excuse not to be able to change your coins in the redemption, there is help everywhere, but there is also scammers out there to which is WHY one should go to the official People's Alternative Choice PAC and no other.
if you have already done your redemption and have not got your new coins then send an email to support (@) paccoin.net

A further note to people wanting to send coins through the redemption wallet to the wallets dated days like Monday Tuesday and so on, it does not really matter what day it is as they will all get looked at eventually anyway.
The following are the redemption wallets to send to,

1.   Sat: Aw9yEjiCUXtoJzav9vCiFTm98UBk5GombU
2.   Sun: AxqfDhAkhbna8Ft9WmqE2QwVqQUEfnNRnh
3.   Mon: AgV85LiTHnLCa7xdYHNxMwyRCAPPNoK6td
4.   Tue:  B3zGATXPtNRbHCeAmhH1sFTb4f2RQJW6nS
5.   Wed: Azhg43v7TAbhfd3MBfsZaSfWfCEqo2hrcw
6.   Thu:  ArUtzuRrCvkBQcK6KZrBsejt74EJjj9ZJC
7.   Fri: B3UDXtQkmwfFy2Vx2mpAPasovgG395omhR

There is a pretty picture there where it shows where to put your address and the address of your nice brand new $PAC wallet, (Important and critical) take a screenshot before you send it, in case.

there is no other wallet address, watch for sites where scammers try to lead you to they want them valuable coins you have for themselves.

How long does it take to get the new $PAC tokens after you send your old PAC tokens to the redemption address? I sent mine a couple days ago and still have not recieved my new $PAC tokens. I read on the PAC Official blog that it may take up to 3 days, but what is the average amount of time before issuing a ticket? I know you guys are probably busy and I would like to save my time from filling out a ticket as well.

Also, has any PAC coin users received any new $PAC yet?

Thanks,

Re: Litecoin $ 1.000,00 this year
by
RamesesLabs
on 27/02/2018, 13:32:56 UTC
Yes... I believe on this coin... confiable, strong, present in all big Exchanges... good news everytime...
2018 wil be the year of Litecoin.
A target of 1.000,00 is very real... also all marketcap cryptos will target around 2~3 trillions this year.
And... rumors that facebook could partner with it.

I definitely think it can reach $1,000 by the end of the year, as it is way faster and cheaper to send transactions with Litecoin than it is BTC, ETH, or BCH. With the introduction of Litepay, and then supporting segwit will be big developments for Litecoin this year as far as usage goes. The biggest question on whether it will reach the $1,000 mark in price will be whether the scaling efforts work for the project or not. I definitely think Charlie Lee has been rejuvenated with new ideas for the project as well, so there could be all kinds of upgrades in store for LTC this year. That's just my speculation though.

..................
Then this is not the same wallet that I am downloading.  I went to the website paccoin.net and on the top right, it says, $Pac wallet.  This sends me to a Mega download, Mirror 1, since Mirror 2 does not work.  And it is downloading the old Paccoin wallet.  This is so confusing.  Where did you get your new $Pac wallet from?  Please advise.  Thanks.

It's on the redemption instruction.
Please read & follow thoroughly.
http://download.paccoin.net/Paccoin_Redemption_Instructions.pdf
https://blog.paccoin.net/official-paccoin-pac-redemption-addresses/
I have done this.  The wallet, while synching looks like the old wallet and it is taking for ever, not the 60 minutes it says.  If I continue, will the wallet change to the picture you posted?  Please advise.  Thanks.

I got the same result, looks like the old wallet to me as well.

Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school
by
RamesesLabs
on 26/02/2018, 14:01:56 UTC
This high school in New Jersey is already teaching its students about cryptocurrencies.

This is encouraging, but I'm only fully supportive if the cryptocurrency talk is part of a larger discussion on personal finance education. Financial education is far more important to the entire population. And cryptocurrency plays a role in that education, but only if people know the fundamentals of responsible personal finance.

I was surprised by how many people responded that high school is too early to expose students to cryptocurrency. I think they should know about its existence for sure, though possibly with due cautions that there is much more for them to learn. I totally agree with the above point that any education about cryptocurrencies should be part of a larger discussion on responsible personal finance. I don't think children are adequately taught about personal finance in schools or anywhere else. Adults aren't adequately taught about these things either. That's why so many of us are now under crushing debt.

I think that it's not too early to be teaching high schoolers about cryptocurrency basics. I think a lot of the ways they teach math are outdated, and they could have an alternative course for mathematics for those pursuing computer science degrees in college. I also believe they should be introducing the students to the programming languages that are dominating the cryptocurrency industry as well. Cryptocurrencies aren't much different than apps, the main difference is that cryptocurrencies are decentralized for the most part, and used to secure data and pay for processing information to and from the blockchain. I think they should keep the politics out of the high school classroom, but at some point, they're going to have to realize the problems in the financial industry, so that they can help solve some of the problems that still exist even with the use of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

Re: Long term vs. Short term
by
RamesesLabs
on 25/02/2018, 12:51:14 UTC
My rule of thumb is if you don't take profits, there may be no profit, in the cryptocurrency world. I do hold long positions on Bitcoin and Ethereum, but mainly to buy altcoins when I see them in a good dip. I also take profits in Bitcoin and Ethereum, so it makes it easy to stay long on them. The one thing you have to make sure of is your not selling off your profits in BTC and ETH at a loss when the price dips. I find when BTC is running up in price, it is a good time to buy alt's for short-term investing. That's just my take on the topic, everyone has different trading strategies.
