Profits are up today I see.

I've been averaging around 0.006-0.007 BTC with 1.1Mhs (down from the Doge days of .014/day) but it's really the same here or middlecoin. sometimes they have bad days, sometimes cows has bad days, but it averages out. Today though I'm already at .006 and it's only been around 16 hours! Maybe RPC is finally starting to mature Tongue

I use this version as well and it works pretty well. Just a rebuilt version of 3.7.2 with better timeout values and some 290 optimizations.

Here is a updated windows version of cgminer with less timeout.

http://k-dev.net/cgminer/

DOn't remember who gave it to me, but give credit where its due!

Hi

What's the trick for keeping cgminer running on this pool, and not dropping off to the backup pool for 5 min every time we change coin ?

the easy and safe way:
use an old version of cgminer, the new version has 5 min timeout, where the old has like 30s..

EDIT: i forgot to read you whole post -.-

.. try and old version of cgminer.

Not trying to 'moan' or 'complain' here but I haven't received a payout that was initiated 9 and a half hours ago. Sent support ticket but it hasn't happened yet. Any chance one of the admins catching this thread could give it a nudge for me please?
Thanks.
Username is machasm.

Did you do the cashout tool, or actually cash out from the regular site? I tried the cashout tool during the switch and it never processed, but once I did it on the normal site once I was able to login, it processed right away.

For me per 1MH/s:
Middlecoin: 0.015
Hashcows: 0.003

middlecoin has been falling for me. It used to be around 0.015, but the last couple days it's barely made 0.010

Crazy question:

Owners, when you trade my coins on the exchanges, lets say 1 BTC worth of SBC, how do I know that you aren't pocketing half?  Trust?

I realize we opt in for auto trade, but a paper trail seems necessary.

You could pay me half of what my shares were worth, and just say the prices dipped when you decided to trade.

So, go to the options page and tell 'em not to trade your mined coins for BTC.  (That option isn't available right now because of the reworking of the entire site.)

There is nothing requiring you to have them sell all your coins.  you can have the directly deposited to your wallet.

Yes, I know I could configure no auto trade.  I'm saying that for auto trade to be trustworthy on this or any site, there should be a paper trail.   Don't take it the wrong way, I'm making a point.

True, but this site shows a lot more information than other auto-switch pools like middlecoin. Hell, middlecoin doesn't even tell you what coins you've mined or has any paper trail at all Tongue Only immature, unexchanged and exchanged.

http://k-dev.net/cgminer/

I have absolutely no affiliation to this person, so if something happens as a result of using this, you're on your own Wink haha. But I found it on the middlecoin thread and have been using it the last week and it's basically eliminated any coin-switch disconnects for me and averages around 870Khs on my 290x and 310Khs on my 6870. Rejects are usually under 5% as well

I do hope this doesn't nuke my PC. It looks cleaner, seem to average about the same kh/s with my 290x (922) as regular cgminer, and the update timer rocks. 5 mins on middlecoin is too long.

Thanks!

BTW, site is showing 0 blocks for the last 7 rounds. I hope it jests.

what settings are you using to get 900+? And what brand?

Best I've gotten is 875Khs with a Sapphire 290x

That's what I eventually did, put middle as failover.  But good to know wats happening.  Thanks.

Running 3.7.2 so yeah it detected it, but didn't know about the 5 minute cooldown.

So complete noob question, go ahead and berate me Smiley when we switch to a different coin I seem to lose connection and feels like it takes a good while to ramp back up.  That normal?
Stratum drops off and takes several seconds to restart on coin-switch. If you're running a not-ancient version of cgminer it will see the disconnect, try to reconnect, fail and put the pool on a 5-minute cooldown timer.

Either run an older version of cgminer, or (what I do) set a failover to something like Middlecoin.

I found a re-compiled version of 3.7.2 with the cooldown timer set to 30 seconds and some other settings tweaked for the middlecoin pool that does the same thing. It's helped quite a lot. Also had some 290x tweaks.

Since the values of the altcoins are much lower than we are used to, are you guys cashing out to BTC or just hoarding until a more opportunistic time to dump?

I personally am hoarding but I wanted to see what others are doing.

Prices are low because of outbreak of hordes shitty coins, way more retarded than anything else before (light years behind stupid DOGE meme). Every C noob thinks that he can become rich by altering code and releasing it as superawesomeunbeatableamazingblazingcoin. All theese ppl should go fuck them self hardly, because they are bringing nothing but harm of alts. No one can seriously invest in scams like dimecoin, nicolascagecoin, coiney whatewer fuck coin etc.. Ppl with money will stick to BTC because of all this silly clowns..

I am selling everything except CGB, which is technically perfect, but by some strange reason neglected . Everything other doesn´t deserve attention and in the end will die (eg. does anyone forgot in what WDC devs were involved? UNOCS & PhenixEx scam? Fuck..)

I think there will always be a steady stream of new coins, but when the dust settles BTC and LTC will be the only ones left standing with good value.

I am beginning to worry about my account.  I have tried two cash outs Tuesday night and tonight.  I have not ever received an email concerning them, so I am worried that my email account was changed in the hack attack and that my payout requests are being sent to the hacker's email and he will get the payout.

I think I'll have to stop mining hashcows until I can get in and check things out.

I'd check the spam folder. I've used the cashout tool twice and got the confirm email immediately both times

Forgot to also add on here that last night we added 4 new coins to the rotation as gratitude for everyone who is sticking with us

Lottocoin
Netcoin
Earthcoin
Catcoin

Lets hope they bring many profits!

With these new coins, are they being auto-converted to bitcoin or ? They are increasing in value pretty fast. I pointed my miners back to hashcows a couple of days ago again and noticed that that's all we've been mining, and coinmarketcap is showing some good gains with these coins.

Any chance we can get some idea of how long the backlog for email support is? I never received my email after the cashout tool said one would be sent. That was nearly 48 hours ago. I also emailed hashcows support about an hour after that and never got a response from that either.

I am fine to wait as long as I get my coins. No problem. Some sort of time estimate on a response would be great, though.

I used the payout tool yesterday at 10AM PST and had the verification email almost immediately. It then took about an hour to get the BTC in my wallet.

Once I'm able to login to the site again I'll be pointing my miner back your way Smiley

I'm seeing very frequent disconnects at the moment.

The proxy is able to reconnect instantly and workers resume (coin switch) - the shares that were mid-processing during the switch all seem to get trashed, typically with "share is above target." (wrong difficulty?)

My rejected rate is up to 19%.

I've been seeing this a lot today too. With a lot of "New block detected on network before longpoll"

I've been mining in the auto-switching scrypt pools that will automatically switch between alt coins that are most profitable and then auto-convert to bitcoin. I started on Monday and have made about .06 BTC with a Radeon 6870 and Radeon R9-290x. Though it hasn't been running all day since I use the same computer for some photo/video editing and gaming too. When I'm not at the computer it's mining though. I've been using middlecoin.com

Still thinking of picking up another R9-290x or three Tongue My board has quad x16 PCIe slots

I have an R9-290x and a 6870 mining and the R9 target temp is set to 90C (default target temp is 95C), so as long as you are under that, you should be fine.

My R9-290x averages around 87-90C and the 6870 hovers around 85C normally. These cards are designed for very high heat so I wouldn't worry too much about mid 80C temps

You can also use power catalyst to set the target temp lower and the fan speed higher which should lower temps as well, albeit with more noise.
