Re: Is this new crash very bad

I notice quite a big drop in the last few hours.  Is this just a short term thing for a few hours and it will pick up again back to normal.  Or will it go much further down into a big crash.

The market is very volatile at the moment, so no one exactly knows what's going to happen next.

Looks like a buying opportunity though.

Guys, I think in future bitcoin will fell down and Instead of old blockchain technologies will come new and more large-scale projects. Bitcoin It is just the beginning.

You shouldn't be this pessimistic/emotional.

Investing takes a certain degree of risk-taking ability. And yeah, sometimes losses do occur.

Weight lifting, keeping my health in check, eating clean food, and training MMA is probably the best you could do.

I'd probably say Ripple and Bitcoin Gold.

I predict 2019 to be very bad for XRP.

Perhaps I would go with the Telegram ICO, if I had just $50 in my pocket.

The best way to protect yourself is to not use online, public exchanges to hold large sums of money.

The second part is to keep your computer clean of malware and other nasty stuff.

Perhaps keep a dedicated PC for crypto.

I've been thinking about this a lot.

You feel as if though you've received value for doing nothing, and that makes you think about the philosphical meaning behind that.

Although we haven't done much more than clicking to get some money back, that doesn't mean you are a leech to the system or something like that.

Perhaps it says more about the abundance of material resources the world currently has.

ETH can be indefinitely mined, so that might make for some weird pricing in the long-run.

Just something to keep in mind.

There doesn't have to be any kind of correlation between Bitcoin and crime.

Crime is an entirely different sociological problem.

Re: What if another altcoin surpasses BTC in value?

On a long enough timeline, the chances are close to 100% that some new altcoin or system is going to surpass Bitcoin in value.

There is not much you can do about it, other than speculate and try to be one of the first to invest in a new coin.

I show them my CoinBase account (via the app).

Some people don't get it at first though.

Who knows, with the past slowdowns of the network, perhaps Bitcoin is going to remain the reserve currency of the crypto world.

Hello!

If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?

There doesn't have to be any correlation between whether BTC is alive or dead, and the value of other crypto coins.

Different crypto coins might have entirely different uses in the real world.

HODL is still the most suggested tactic - I've never sold any of my bitcoins for the past 3 years.

For your small volume transaction, perhaps meeting someone in person via LocalBitcouns would be best (make sure you choose someone with a good rating).

"The director of German's central bank believes that bitcoin should be regulated through an international set of rules rather than on a national scale."

Does bitcoin need to be regulated in a global scale?

No way, the point of bitcoin is to exist beyond national lines.

We are going to need changes to the protocol, eventually.

Perhaps the Lightning network is going to enough - I'm sure the devs are going to know best what to do.
