Although its an old thread

I would say with the BTC raised again, everyone is dumping coins. ETH is the target again

Goes to 0.055 BTC, now drops back to 0.05 btc

However, its time for ETH believer to pick it up now Tongue

After the bitcoin is in trouble due to the hard fork, people will buy ETH again.

I am waiting to buy some cheap ETH. So dump please Grin

Investors will not be so stupid to dump the ETH.

The Metropolis will be activated in a few days. I think the price could rise again.

It is crazy if someone thinks that BCC will have a higher value than BTC. We do not have any basis to confirm it, BCC is just a weak currency.

I think in the near future, the BCC price will lower than bitcoin, maybe 10 to 20%. If there is more support, the price could be even higher.

People has been advising time to dump for every price spike
Sell some keep some keep profiting everyome
Now is sure time to sell some https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/ethereum/usd

The price has dropped, is it good time to buy back?

I got out on the way up never expecting it to go even till now. I hope it pops soon but now I'm out It probably won't Cheesy
Stay pimping..
When the bitcoin price starts to rise, it might drop against bitcoin. But in the long term, ETH will rise.
Absolutely. But some times ETH price follow the bitcoin price rises.
Full pump and dump, because that's the usual thing in my mind and i never feeling worry about that. The market bullish and bearish.
The price is still strong and i could imagine a price slide when we see another bull run in bitcoin, other than that i could not see the price sliding in ETH or any other altcoin. Most of the altcoins had a good move in recent weeks but a small correction is expected any time soon.

The price is very high now. It might drop a little. But then it will rise again.

Depending on bitcoin is absolutely fine , but
Depending on bitcoin for a living is the worst option.
You can never predict what will happen the next moment.
Even you can earn very little bitcoin per month.
Also trading won't help you for long.
So it is more preferable to have a regular job than depending on bitcoin

That is true. The price of bitcoin is too volatile. We cannot plan ahead.

$1000 a day sounds like a fairy tale deception

It is not possible if you do not have hundreds of bitcoins already.

$1,000 a day within few weeks is just a bit too good to be true but what's impossible in this world,as long if there's no suspicious thing such as require us to pay specific amount of money to follow the lesson there's nothing wrong,by the way,any specific requirements?

If somebody knows how to do that to make a living, he will not tell other people to divert his profits.

Re: Ethereum mining still profitable?

I've got lots of questions about this and I don't even know where to start.
Usually I build bitcoin mining farms and get % every month for just paying attention to them.
Couple weeks ago I got the order to maintain the ETH farm where already are installed 60+ GPUs (r9 380, r9 470x 480x) and they want to expand, maybe 100-150+ GPUs.
I don't know about profitability, because after Litecoins I simply switched to BTC.
Honestly I really don't care if they will loose all their money invested in GPUs and ETH itself, but can I give them some kind of advice maybe?
Until then I have some technical questions (and I don't know ask them here or somewhere else but I'll still ask):
What is the best OS to to install on SSDs? (ATM they have mixed versions of windows). I tried to research but found nothing. Will ubuntu do it's job or win7 professional is better? I didn' liked the EthOS..
What is the best software or any technique to monitor (not control) all the rigs at once? Remotely or locally?
that's it I guess for now (:

The Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 are all fine with the Etheruem mining. For the new AMD cards, they work well with 7 and 10.

Indeed been looking at the figures close to buying s9 what it makes on BTC a month to what an ETC/ETC rig can make and blows the generation away since the block reward half in july. No sign of an S9 banking its ROI any time soon. GPU mining on ETH and ETC is about 4 to 6 month brake even and now with the 480s coming out modded bios firmware it is going to be intresting if ETH or ETC goes POS. Wonder what will be next for gpu mining.
Maybe Zcash will be the next profitable coin..

Thats an idea, i've read on some of the ethereum forums that Monero might be another option... Curious to see how it turns out.

It seems some of the Ethereum mining hash has moved to the Monero mining. The difficulty has dropped a bit.

I think it depends if what GPU are you using if you have only low specs of GPU you can only earn cents per day.. now many people are mining ethereum so the rewards is decreasing and many people are buying more effective and high performance GPU and increase the GPU in there mining rig..
So if you have more GPU mining its still profitable..

That is right. If you have the old GPU like the 7970, the efficiency is low, it will become less profitable soon.

If it is RX480, it is more profitable.

if you want to buy new GPU, it will cost even more dollars. Reinvest for ETH mining is not that much worthy. At least old gpu will mine something without any investment.

Do you know any other coins worth mining more than the Ethereum? The Ethereum will become PoS in a few months.

No no
ETH not profitable anymore to mine
Except you got free rigs and electricity

true statement, if you pay over 40 cent per kwh of energy. most of us pay 15 cent or less, so ETH mining ist still profitable atm

If you use some kind of undervolting and reduce the frequency of the core or memory, it is still profitable.

Miners tend to overvolt and overclock. That will make their ROI faster if their electricity price is low.,

Real stupid miners, you mean. UNDERVOLT and overclock.

It depends on the graphics cards. I usually undervolt and underclock to get better efficiency as I have high electricity price.

A few days ago, if you mined some Ethereum Classic when the difficulty is low and sell now, you have made good profits.

The Ethereum Classic price has dropped a lot since yesterday. I think the hacker is going to dump his coin soon.

It is not stable now. Getting bit decreased now a days. Its not decreasing much. It stays from $600 to $700...I feel that it should increase . Let's hope for the best.
how you can say that it is not stable at the moment? the price is really stable right now to be honest and i think it will soon have a big growth to be honest

even though those predictions are just wild guesses to be honest i think that there is a reason to believe them because people will be buying their bitcoins before the halving

The price is moving around the $650 range within 10% difference. According to bitcoin standards, it is stable.

The price of the bitcoin is in the consolidation phase at the moment. When it finishes consolidation, the price will be higher.

I just predict that the price of bitcoin later will be very high.
but now I think the price of bitcoin is not stable, because of price increases very quickly, many people who sell and even buy bitcoin in significant amounts. it makes the price of bitcoin be up and down, but I guess soon bitcoin prices will rise, remain resistant bitcoin do you have guys

I think its just a nature of bitcoin if did you see the chart year ago they are the same and i think it depends in market if more buyer than seller and if the bitcoin stock are less i think the price should be rise like this less time. So if less buyer than seller the price will drop. Honestly i dont really understand but i think this the reason thats why the price is rising so fast...

The price of the bitcoin has risen 70% in the last 30 days. It is a big rise. However, the price is consolidating now.

If the price rises too fast, it is very dangerous. I am glad the price is at the current level to do some consolidation.

The Bitcoins price is rising at the moment which is a good thing for the people that want top sell there coins. If you want to buy is is also possible but I think that the price is a bit to high.

It is good for the people who want to top sell. For me, it is no difference from the price of $200. I will hold.

I have 1X7990 + 5x 390, consumes 1080W and 169 MH/S. But the 7990 runs at 900 mV and the 390 runs at 977mV.

Hashrate is taking a HUGE jump today  Shocked Its reporting 2900 mh so a maybe a new farm went online or upgrades completed on a old one.

I have my hardware paid for now and ive been slowly ordering some parts to build a new budget rig, just mobo, cables and stuff I have extra cpu's and psu's.  But im starting to reconsider if I should really jump in with some new gpus the way difficulty is going.  In a month there might be very very little profit if this trend continues, say in a month we hit 4'000 gh then the profit will be slim and from there how much further will the hash get pushed.

The difficulty is rising too fast, in a few months, only the new efficient GPU will make profit, but not necessary ROI.

I think its because X11 ASICs are finally beginning to deploy, and the massive difficulty jump there is pushing all the GPU miners onto ethereum

But there are also new mining farms come into the Etheruem mining. Genesis Mining had a big farm.

It would be good if we know the real life name and address or other information of the escrow operators.
yes that good for us,we can find it easily here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0
i wish no more people scammed by listed scammer in this forum, its hurt for everyone hear that,i hate scammer for many reason, and because i'm ever scammed by people.

When you do a deal with a forum member, do you check the list scammer first? Not many will check.
