dead coin is dead....

I was more worried about people tying the "DigitalMart" to being only Digitalcoins, where we are actually going to be working with other communities and coins to make this a group effort and get so much further in building it.

That is a good point though. If anyone has suggestions for names that don't tie us to any specific coin, I would love to hear them. The one that we choose will get 50 DGC as a mini prize

That was an amazing article jdebunt! It really summed up what we are trying to do with Digitalcoin, I can't wait to see the effect this has on the coin/community!

As far as I know it only offers the option of being autorun at startup. In the options menu of all the QT wallets, that option is there. But I don't really know tbh. I am not a C++ programmer.

My Apologies. We will be releasing more information on the forums shortly. I get so used to using IRC that sometimes I forget all about the other mediums. Also have been working really hard to get the new sites/services ready. We have been running Facebook ads for the last little while, but those are just to test how people react to seeing information about Crypto Currencies. Remember, this market we are dealing with is like nothing we have ever seen before. We need to do all kinds of research in order to be able to target the right mediums of advertising.

The main goal we are running toward right now is making Crypto's extremely simplified to the point that almost anyone with an internet connection will be not only able to use Digitalcoin, they won't be able to stay away from it (like farmville on facebook when it first came out haha).

We are working away silently, but the other things I have been working on will be officially announced soon.

I will update on the forums more often from now on. Once again sorry for that.

Where do you get 2 million for coding? I did the airdrop and am continuing to do the airdrop, and am not taking 2 million.... also the old TALK(formally BCC) dev doesnt have one single TALK(formally BCC) coin.  The old dev walked away leaving literally everything he did behind for myself and the new dev that took over to try and clean up.

Also I am doing the best that I can, and I have every single one of the TALK coins that are in the airdrop/development fund/or anything else. The entire 31 million (and a few hundred thousand) are in my possesion. I am not absent, and a lot of people know who I am. I will give away every single one of these coins (not including if I have to pay a bounty to get some dev work done to further the coin) to the people of this community.

In fact, I would like to see a feature on here to give and receive tips for giving out help/information. Kind of like a tipbot (which we have in IRC and will be giving a ton of TALK away with). So Join #BTCtalkcoin on the freenode network so you can catch the tips!!! Also start posting your TALK address at the bottom of your posts and start using it as a way of saying "Thanks for the help!!"

P.S. I guess I am the driving force behind this coin, so if that makes me "the new dev" than I guess I will do it! So hello, nice to meet all of you!

I think I am now the largest holder of DGC, after tonights dumping escapades I own over 400k. So if you have a problem with Digitalcoin in general, come to me on IRC or on here. I also happen to be the head of the Digitalcoin foundation. So this is my way of saying I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

Also huge changes are coming very soon, so come into #digitalcoin on freenode network to chat with me (IRC) if you want to get involved with development or helping with the new services. We need web devs, and all kinds of other people to help out. Promoters, marketing people, and even people to just tweet out and get the message out to the public. Digitalcoin is going to be the largest, most used currency sooner than most of you think. I have been working in semi-silence to bring some HUGE services to the coin, and they are coming to the market very soon!
