What I actually would really help is a market place to get things started.

I've been trying to look for secure platforms to use.

Even if the marketplace is not overtly active, we are pushing utilization of Hirocoin nonetheless.

Hey Guys,
that's some heated discussion there, good that there are passionate people from both sides of the arguments.

I've been following HiroCoin since it's inception. At the beginning, there aren't really much communicated and it was massively pumped once, then everything kind of trail off.

However, it is not until recently through the effort of Joerii and his team that they picked up the slack and restart the whole campaign. So that's kind of equivalent to a rebirth of the coin and we just have to wait and see.

The issue of the low price is because X11 coins as a whole hasn't really gained traction yet. If you combined all the nethash of X11 coins, it doesn't break 60 Ghz. To put it in perspective, that's equivalent to 20 Ghz scrypt, probably less than 10% of litecoin total hash pre asic.

The scrypt Boom happened in October/Novemeber 2013. That's winter time so every GPU miners in the Northern Hemisphere (China, India, Russia, North America) are enjoying cooler temperature for the GPU rigs.

Summer is fast approaching and GPU farmers mining scrypt may now feel the heat.  THey will need something cooler to mine and that's when X11 or even Keccuck to come in so that their farms won't burst into flames.

When June comes, it will be the pivotal moment to see whether X11 will rise or fail.

Right now I think all X11 coins are still in sleeper mode.

This is the time to make background promotion, not to implode ourselves. Price is irrelevant right now because the hashrate in the X11 scene is low. When the big GPU farms transit to X11, they will go for the coin with the lowest difficulty and highest potential growth (in my humble opinion, Hirocoin).

Again, this is the world of crypto, everything is a gamble if we don't do anything.  But if we work together, it is no longer a gambling, it is investing.

My two cents

Excellent news! You guys are growing and on to something.

Remember, even Darkcoin had more than a month of low volume before it got popular, we can rise if we all work together.

Cool. Got exactly 10% of stake today. This is looking good. We had a super shaky start, but I think we are almost stable in terms of the technical. NOw we just need to promote and build our foundation =)

I think Hiro is growing steadily despite the price drop.

Usually when a coin lose that much value, the net hash drops. But Hiro today is still having a 3.5+ ghash. While is still small compare to dark coin, it is sustainable.

We are still young and price won't rise by itself if we don't help the devs to promote and use them. =)

Does coin maturity reset? Because yesterday my coin was mature and was staking, and after upgrading to new client, it says my coins are not mature

Premined won't be sold anytime soon. the volume is too low to dump anything. the average volume on poloniex is less than  $10 USD.

I do find the Aircoin team to be very professional in the beginning. However, when shit hits the fan, they backed off and disappeared. To me that is not a professional way to deal with anything in life. Without constant communication, FUD happens. That's is the nail to the coffin for any crypto that is losing steam. Even horrible politicians/ceo who lose the country/company billions can still remain in their positions... why? because they communicate and butter us up with what is coming in the future.

What the team should have done is to post regularly to comment the state of affairs of things, and any neutral and positive comments will do.

The amount of AIR I am holding was considered a lot in the beginning, but now it's a insignificant amount compared to what other's have mined.

It is really too bad that the community can't take over due to the premined coin. There were a lot of intelligent and passionate contributors on this thread, as a community we can probably revive it but I think it has passed that point.

Scrypt-N won't change anything in my opinion. As a GPU miner myself, the arrival of scrypt asic is the death of me. However, to the overall future of crypto, it helps raise the coin's value due to the sustainability and commitment of the ASIC buyers/farmers. People who say ASIC is unfair and undermines the distribution aspect of Cryptocurrency are delusional. It is already unfair without ASIC. GPU farms with 100+ gpus are already considered as "small farms". Normal users just can't compete with that. In fact, the only way to compete with big GPU farms is to buy ASIC lol.

Also, the Alliance the Aircoin team proposed seems like a bad idea to me. The investment pool was suppose to "pump and dump" other coins and return the profit back to AIRcoin's value. It's pretty genius because the Pump and Dump weakens competing coin while attracting buyers / investors to Aircoin's raising value. It is possible the most profitable pump and dumb is a coin that is part of the Alliance, if the investment pool attack it, the Alliance is no more.

ANyways, I'm done with my rant.

Bottomline, the idea of an investment pool is awesome, but the execution by the Aircoin team was horrendous.

Silly / Noob question. If I have multiple computers running the same client and wallet.dat, would I get more coins from staking?

How long till the end of 10% daily POS?

The 10% PoS hasn't started yet.

We need a blockexplorer pronto to figure out how fast the staking is going.

For those that are wondering, you need to wait 24 hours for your coins to mature before it starts the staking.

Probably due to poor difficulty adjustment. the Difficulty didn't get high enough when these massive miners come in.

It is funny people keep pointing at these mythical FPGAs lol.

I'm sure they will exist eventually but I don't think they are good enough yet.

The high net hash is most likely due to rented rigs and/or miners who want to try to mine X11 for the first time. All the pools were "attacked" by massive influx of people using scrypt protocol.

SummerCoin could possibly be the coin to push X11 algorithm to mainstream crypto (and of course, the arrival of better FPGA).

In the mean time, the increase of hashrate is not attributed to FPGAs.... yet......

I wonder where all the extra net hash is from. Darkcoin and other X11 net hash didn't change and yet SummerCoin has an extra 20GH/s boast in the past few hours.

Maybe the GPU miners are starting to come around to X11, that's good news to all X11 coins.
