Re: What is been professional like to you?
by
Reatim
on 25/07/2025, 04:09:39 UTC
I don't really believe that idea of professional gambling since gambling is a game of luck to a large extent, although sports betting has a mixture of luck and skill. If I want to force myself to accept that idea of professional gambler, I will say it's someone whose only job is gambling. As people dress up to go to work, he prepares to gamble and that is what pays his bills. He may be into other business of gambling but everything have to revolved around gambling, then we can say such a fellow is a professional gambler.
is it required for this someone to be good at gambling and actually win? or as long as he is playing for the sake of winning he’s already a professional? what if he keeps losing but his only source of income is gambling… is he still a professional then?

I personally think China will eventually leave BRICS.
This could be an interesting opinion if you added some logic to it and try to explain why you think China would leave something they were one of the main founders of and is benefiting them greatly.
it wouldn’t be surprising if the countries in brics turned in on each other after they have defeated the us after all their intentions would be to improve their country’s standing

maybe china would push for their country and others wouldn’t like it and eventually leave or maybe they will all get along and have a global/international support group

i think that you are making it too complicated

this kind of strategy just means you should only gamble something you won’t be losing sleep with for example if you gamble with only $5 today and you lost then it won’t hurt you that much but imagine if you placed a bet for $20,000 and you lost that would be detrimental to your life for sure

regardless what could be won, you will be thinking about the money you just lost

Re: How to Secure Your Finances in a Devaluing Economy

Save in strong currencies if you can like USD, Bitcoin or gold. Don’t keep all your money in cash, try real estate, stocks or goods that hold value. Cut unnecessary spending & stock up on essentials before prices rise more. Stay informed & maybe talk to someone who knows about money. Even small steps help.

I don't think real state is a good investment option nowadays, much better to hold BTC and for most non premium real state even treasury bonds are better
over the long term BTC will probably yield more returns than anything else but I guess we'll see
i mean if you can afford to buy different kinds of assets then just go for both as much as possible we want to diversify our portfolio and at the same time explore other investments as well

i would want to own some real estate in the future alongside bitcoin and other investments i do not want to box myself in just one place and not try to manage other investments

Re: The "Lottery Ticket" Mentality

I figured there was no harm in trying it using free bets for such silly entertainment. And most importantly, I wasn't using my own money, and if I lost, I wouldn't regret it.
i think that if you bet with free bets and lost then you will feel very relieved and if you won and was able to receive good money then it’s a win win situation but is there really a way like this?

most of the time free bets would mean you won’t receive anything even if you won which in that case you might already end up frustrated and might regret just not betting with money

Re: When gambling what do you measure? Luck or chances?
by

What's usually your pick as a gambler since sometimes some persons are luckier than others?
there literally is no way for anyone to know when will luck strike you so i think that it is unwise to rely on luck at all at best we can just pray and hope that we get lucky but if you want to maximize your chances of winning then actually rely on tangible factors like history and data

Politicians should not be given by a good salary if they are not doing their jobs well but this is also the reason on why they can kill only to get on their positions.
politicians shouldn't really be rich especially if the citizens are suffering but because of corruption they are ending up spending the people's money for their personal uses

About minimum wage, I think the employer are still free to increase it if they really wanted to but the problem is that many of them are also stingy. They are close to those kind of governments we are talking about earlier.
that is because they also are not earning much because of taxes and such the government affects everyone both the employers and the employees

Re: Has El Salvador been lying to the world?
by

on 23/07/2025, 20:34:39 UTC
I also read this news 2 days ago and to be fair it is hard to know if El Salvador is lying to us or the IMF is lying?
But I lean towards the IMF and what they say, simply because El Salvador depends on them for loans, and the survival and interests of the nation must come first.
el salvador should immediately show proof and deflect the allegations against them or else their reputation will be tainted if imf is truly lying they should be exposed for it

it seems like el salvador and imf are both in a game we are only an audience of and this was imf's strike to el salvador and we shall see how el salvador responds

if you want to commit to only using a specific set, you have to be prepared for the chance of never winning you should be able to accept that possibility or else you need to change your bets soon

my point here is no matter what your choice is you have to commit to it and accept whatever happens to you

Re: France Wants People to Work More for Less
by
Reatim
on 22/07/2025, 18:26:37 UTC
What would you do when your country attempted this? Would you work more days for the same money? Do you believe it does any good?

Or is it just another method of old systems to transfer the pain to ordinary people, and to pretend that things will be better soon?
Is the government giving them chance to make choices, irrespective of diverse opinions, will the government still go ahead to apply the order, that way there is no need of asking people what they think.
yeah i mean after all it’s your company who decides whether you should come in and earn how much the government just suggests a specific way of doing it but the final decision lies on your workplace. not by us here at the forum
Quote
No i won't, working extra days means increasing salary, in a normal job any day you skip is cut out from your pay, i suggest an option whereby people have to decide whether to come work during holiday and get extra pay or skip for the holiday and take the same salary no extra.
it might be cruel but is there any other choice really?

Unlike fiat and gold whose supplies inflate continuously, Bitcoin's has an end. And if Bitcoin remains relevant a hundred years from now, its value in fiat must already be staggering.
gold is limited but we just might have not discovered all that there is in the world but we can’t really create any more gold than we have but fiat we can always create more it’s unlimited so i do not think they are similar

bitcoin and gold are both limited in supply that’s why they are considered good investments

I was just reading in some webs the news about how is all developing in the Milton Keynes based team which is RedBull in this case  Grin.

And the news are really bad, most of them said the team is a disaster after the Hornet fire up, and new problems between others workers rise up, so like i anticipated this is not gonna be good at all for RedBull.
there’s still no confirmation of whether max will stay with redbull or leave to go to mercedes but right now verstappen is the only one keeping that team afloat tsunoda is nowhere to be seen in most races and would likely be replaced so if verstappen leaves then redbull will really be in trouble

Re: Economic differences between older and younger generation

But the younger generation tend to go job hopping, switching from one job to the next until they find something perfect for them. The younger generation seems to prioritize a work life balance that is why a lot of them only work from home or work only as freelance.
In my estimation, job hopping is just for the money. Are the younger generation being actually more productive that the older generation? Work life balance is good but in terms of mental health wise which generation is more broken. The older or the younger? If you ask me, I would say that it is the younger generation.
honestly i think that the younger generation is just more outspoken about their struggles compared to the older generation where we were taught to never show any kind of weakness but i will agree that some youngsters nowadays are too sensitive and very easy to give up when met by challenges

Re: How can you enjoy the game when you are losing?
by
Reatim
on 22/07/2025, 00:06:13 UTC
---
People just place bets more or less randomly, lose money and claim that they enjoy it. Is this stupidity or deceit? Maybe such people like the atmosphere of the game? But then why not play free games? But no, gamblers rarely play free games?
Or maybe they're just in the denial phase where they claim that they are enjoying gambling despite losing, but in reality, losing a thousand bucks, or even more hurts them from the inside.

For me, the excitement in gambling lies on when you're betting using real money. You will not feel any excitement if you're betting on a demo account because at the end, you will never win money on it.
instead of just playing on demo because personally that’s not really exciting just use as little money as you can so you will not be too devastated if you lose because you do not need that much money anyway it’s like a change a few dollars won’t hurt your life nor your feelings but will totally change your life if you win

well that is also true lol but this is just something i tell myself to avoid temptations to just spend it and we know that it can be tempting especially given a huge amount of money right at the palm of your hands

Re: Content creation
by
Reatim
on 20/07/2025, 16:00:44 UTC
Do you notice that so many people are into content creation these days? Everyone is always filming something and posting it in hopes of gaining views, likes and followers. Once they have enough audience, they can start earning from their page and this is what is their biggest motivator. There are people who have day jobs that don't pay enough so they try their luck in content creation.

Now, I am seeing many more kids just get into it right away instead of trying to find other traditional jobs. The older generation do not even consider this a real job. But do you think, as lucrative the industry is, will it survive? Will it continue to be a good source of income? If you are struggling financially, have you ever considered content creation? Does content creation offer anything to the economy?

Due to Artificial Intelligence, changes already are being made. Content creation with AI is already a thing will it be fully AI in the near future?
it is possible and a scary thing to think about nowadays i am seeing videos made with only ai though it is not so perfect yet but after a few more years i am sure it will look almost as real it is scary to think about how scams will be more in the future

First thing first, I doubt if there's anything or anyone known to be a professional gambler and I'll really want to know from the person's perspective on what it takes to become a professional gambler.
i think that those who play card games can be professionals because that takes more than just luck and actually requires some good strategy and techniques that they have to learn and master

If you are a motorsport fan and a marvel fan, you must have been excited to see Tom Holland (Spider-man) be at Le mans this weekend. It got me thinking how many fans he has and how many could have been curious and influenced to get into Le mans or motorsport in general. It seems like Tom Holland really is a motorsport fan as he was also seen in a formula 1 race before.
correct me if im wrong.. but tom holland was seen again in a formula 1 race recently. was it silverstone, i think?

it’s possible his fans might have been curious about the sport but it’s not a guarantee they will become a fan. formula 1 is quite a complicated sport.

In the same context, does celebrities like Drake who also likes to gamble for his own enjoyment influences his fans to do the same? Have you ever checked out a sport or betted on a team because of your favorite celebrity?
even drake’s fans should know that he is not very good at betting lol so it’ll be foolish to follow
