We're only now walking to the start line, the start is the 30th and after that it will be marathon.

In these sorts of situations it is best to to under promise and over deliver. If the 30th really is pivotal for this coin then nothing you say will change that, so there is no need to build it up. But if the changes are not special at all then it will be a disappointment compared to the hype that has getting spread around and that could reflect negatively on the coin itself.

Is it worth it to buy a used ASIC at a discount?

I see a HASHRA Lunar Launcher 14MH on craigslist for $375. It is used but it is also quite a bit cheaper than a new one.
I live in the Pacific NW, where electricity is really cheap, so I'm thinking there might be a chance at recouping the cost. Then again this person obviously lives up here too and they're selling.  Also looking at a Gridseed blade for $600 and a Antminer S3 for $420...

What do you think?

That's $124 quadrillion in case anyone is curious.

The big news is that on the 31st of August, the Earth will be allowed to join the greater intergalactic economy. Several civilizations are poised to adopt PND as a primary currency, mostly out of fear. It turns out that while Pandas may be nearing extinction here on earth their progenitors evolved into a master race in other solar systems. Lesser worlds think they can earn favoritism by insisting that some portion of their commerce be done in PND. In fact the only reason we're allowed to join the greater galactic community is because some PND masters have noticed how much care we have put into trying to save their inferior genetic line.

And another very important note: exchanges also own wallets and how much do you think is on exchanges? A lot, all packed together in a few wallets.

This is a good point but then again it wouldn't be hard to simply drop 2-3BTC and buy a few hundred million PND right now.  This isn't a bad thing and it will happen in the near future I'm sure. But as the price goes up it this could fall to a few tens of millions and then a few million for a BTC and all that time the people with large holdings will steadily spread their wealth by selling off. It happened with BTC and LTC....and eventually the early guys will be kicking themselves for selling 10M for $50 instead of $500 but the crypto will be better off for it.

There are large wallets because there aren't that many players right now and I guess that is my concern, because it makes it appear as if there are too few people with too much influence over this coin. If one of them big wallet gets greedy then they could cause a crash by trying to unload it all at once. That said, you're right, it won't be people with 100M-200M that would cause a crash, it'd be people with 1B+ and luckily most of those are either devs or exchanges. In my opinion the devs have already proven themselves loyal and the exchanges need to have large amounts on hand .... so it probably isn't a huge risk that there will be a catastrophic sell off anytime soon.

But this coin played a large role in taking down Wolong's scam coin. So it has a unique history as an anti-scam coin Smiley

Yes of course it is virus free. We hope you enjoy your stay in our panda sanctuary!

Frankly this is the main thing that drew me to PND. In the vast sea of alts there are many wolves who dress in sheep's clothing.  PND is one of the few that not only helped take down a scammer but the devs and community worked to create a coin that coin be trusted. I am scared of the number of wallets with 100s of Millions of coins but give it a few price jumps and sell offs and things should balance out.

Noted and we're looking into it now. Will let you know if we find anything out so you can get your PND Pandacoins

Thanks for the quick response!
I've been up for far too long so I'm just going to check back on this later after I get some sleep.

Best of luck with the this community outreach event!

Anyone get the Mac OS X wallet to work?
It keeps crashing upon launch for me...
If so then please send the trick my way, I'd love to get involved with this coin.

Honestly, LTC seems like a good bet these days. Last year it was the biggest gainer, $100 investment would have become $30000+ between Jan and Dec. It seems to be getting picked up as some sort of MasterCard to Bitcoin's visa with retailers.  People are making ASICs for it, we saw what that did for BTC's price. I don't know for sure but it seems to be getting some what popular. I mean it might not mean huge money for you, not like if you have two BTC of DOGE and it hit $1.00 but LTC is probably a better bet long term. Honestly I would take one of those BTC, break it up and invest a little in a bunch of long shot currencies. You will lose on most of them, maybe all of them but you have a better chance at coming out ahead than if you plop it all on one square. I would keep the other BTC for a while more, why not right? It looks like Wall Street might be moving in, one BTC could become worth a bundle.
