I think it really depends upon the quality of such altcoins and how it demands really works. Like ethereum this altcoins is very superior right now, and this is already trusted by many investors due to its high demands and high potential altcoins in the community of cryptocurrency. And there are many altcoins besides ethereum now survived long also like ripple, bitcoin cash, litecoin and many other's.

I think it really depends our capability of investing crypto currency. If we have enough knowledge and confident of doing crypto investment it is more secured to really get the good benefits and the risk behind it will be less. Well its depends on you... and it also depends on how much its spike out if I think the value is enough then I go for it but if not then I keep holding it..but sometimes when you thought is already been good there comes another spike but sometimes its the opposite of what you expect...I guess it is matter of timing and good condition of cryptocurrency.For my own opinion if my coins will spikes and meet my expectation price then I have no doubt to sell it for us to gain profit, rather than waiting for another chances of spikes that not really sure how big it is and when will be the exact time that it will be happen. Actually those projects who are already dead and considered as dead coins are those coins with no demands and uses to the economic of the society. And most of them are priceless and garbage coins and its product are useless and not existed already.

There is no other king of cryptocurrency except bitcoin and no other new coins will replace bitcoin as the king. Although there are some other altcoins with good quality and have potential to grow in the future but this could not totally surpass bitcoin values and demands.
