I downloaded the Ubuntu version, and when I run the miner nothing ever pops up, but I can tell it's running because it generates a log, and I can see what's going on in the log.

How do I get a display gui to pop up on startup without dragging the miner to the terminal?

Also how do I grant root access to set fan speed?

1. Try to upgrade to Win10 as fast as possible.
2. I was unable to run any miner using Windows 7 Blockchain driver
3. Try to read suggestions. You have 2x4G video mem, 2G RAM, suggested Vmem = 10 G but you "run out of options" setting it to automatic from 2G to 18G. Just set 18G, no min or max.
4. 2Gb is way too few for Windows, may work for Linux but not sure. Go to 4 Gb minimum

BTW sorry for offtopic, it's really not about Claymore 11.2 but about you basic software and hardware.

I don't understand why it has been running for over a month and now all the sudden it won't work.

I only have a 37gb raptor drive and I have been running basically all the extra vmem I have available. There is only about 14gb available on my other 290x rig, same 37gb drive.

It mist be Windows related but I don't think it's virtual memory issues.

Help guys. I had checked on my miner and it wasnt waking up, gpu's were cold.

Restarted and have been getting this error:

22:53:43:814   f68   GPU 0, GpuMiner dk1a failed -36
22:53:43:818   928   GPU 1, GpuMiner dk1a failed -36
22:53:43:832   fd8   GPU 0, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36
22:53:43:838   ac   GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36
22:53:43:842   e80   GPU 0, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36
22:53:43:854   a5c   GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36
22:53:43:859   9e0   GPU 0, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36
22:53:43:870   6b8   GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -36

I've checked my virtual memory, ran a driver uninstaller and reinstalled the blockchain driver, i've done several restarts, i've tried uninstalling the driver again in safe mode, booting with 1 gpu, reinstalling driver, rebooting and still get the same error. I've tried a different pool, i've tried a fresh install of the miner.

nothing is working!!!!

I'm about to just reinstall windows!!!

Could really use some help, its been running this in a loop for 24  hours now. i dont understand what the issue is.

If you really need some help you should give more info.
1. OS version
2. Driver version
3. GPU version|make
4. CPU
5. Installed RAM
6. Virtual memory settings
7. clinfo.txt from your system
8. Environmental variables
9. Miner initialisation string|config files

If it is not that easy just check for you virtual memory settings to be set not to automatic but to value of TOTAL GPU RAM of ALL GPUs + TOTAL RAM of your system (or more). If the settings works you can try to lower it trying to get your system down again :-)

Windows 7 64 out of the box without updates
Blockchain driver
2x r9 290 4gb asus directcu ii with stock bios
Athlon ii x2 2.6ghz
2gb ddr2 400
Vmem 1684gb min 17600 max
11.2 claymore

I feel like I've tried everything. I have a nearly identical rig as well except it has a phenom ii x3 2.7 and 4gb ddr2 and x2 r9 290x 4gb Asus direct cu ii with the same miner and config with no issues.

I brought the system down to test some old graphics cards before I sold them, booted then into Linux as to not mess up my Windows config/drivers. After that the system gives me the above errors and the miner just continuously restarts itself.

It doesn't appear to be a driver issue, I downloaded 3dmark and it seems to run fine.

I'm out of things to try!

upgraded to 11.2.

Still get a crash but not every time.

Performance increased by 100 H/s total for both rigs. Happy Smiley
Now if m pool would just pick up the pace a little. im on the etn spacepool.

what does the e-pool file do? I dont understand it

2 rigs
x2 R9 290x OC @ 1070/1620 1700 H/s
x2 R9 290 OC @ 1070/1650   1650 H/s

here is my config:

==================================
-xpool stratum+tcp://pool.etn.spacepools.org:7777
-xwal My ETN wallt
-xpsw x
#-nofee 1
-allpools 1
#-tt 75
==================================

I feel like i should have a lot more in here to tweak things a bit

also, when you make a change do i have to close the miner and reopen or is there a refresh option in the miner? because when i close it, i get a crash and sometimes i have to jump through hoops to uninstall and reinstall the driver which takes an hour sometimes.

Been running 10.1 for just over a month now, and its awesome - I am making money, thank you dev team!

Just have a few questions to brush up on my knowledge if you guys dont mind:

where do these values go? i have not messed with them at all
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Also, I am experiencing a crash everytime i stop the miner, not a huge deal since its rare, but still an annoyance when i want to do maintenance.
Will switching to a newer version fix this?
Will i notice anything by switching to a new version?

running 2 rigs with x2 R9 290x's (blockchain driver) total hashrate is 3.34k H/s mining ETN

is it ok to post up a screenshot of my config and get some pointers?
