It has emerged that Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous founder of Bitcoin, might have had a different idea regarding assigning the name to the flagship cryptocurrency.

In particular, historical domain registration data shows that Bitcoin.org, the website linked to the original Bitcoin, registered on August 18, 2008, could have been named Netcoin.org. Interestingly, Netcoin.org was registered a day before Bitcoin.org was created.
The two domains were registered under AnonymousSpeech, a service that allowed users to buy domain names anonymously. Further research indicated that no content was ever posted on the Netcoin.org domain before being repurchased by another user.
Furthermore, Netcoin.org domain was later deleted before being taken up by a subsidiary of Web.com in 2010.

It is worth pointing out that the decision to retain the name Bitcoin might have been crucial to the success of the cryptocurrency, helping minimize the number of individuals claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

For instance, Australian Computer scientist Craig Wright has long stressed that he is Nakamoto with the issue moving to court.

In this case, Wright’s claim as Satoshi Nakamoto was considered by a London court, allowing the computer scientist to serve publishers of the Bitcoin whitepaper with copyright lawsuits.

Wright has been labeled a scammer by crypto sector players, including Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin. According to Buterin, Wright was ruled out as Satoshi after he began sharing technically wrong things about Bitcoin and the crypto sector.

Speaking of bitcoin awareness, the use of cryptocurrency in africa has recently increased dramatically and some researchers have been made and it has been realised that African countries are among the top countries in term of bitcoin adoption.
Some countries in Africa are rapidly using fiat currencies to purchase bit coin because of the growing population of bitcoin in Africa. So many merchant have now accepted bitcoin payment as bitcoin adoption grows and am very sure that the use of cryptocurrency will become a standard world wide.
But come to think of it ,there are still countries were cryptocurrencies are not allowed which we need to look at.
The reason some countries hesitate in crypto adoption in Africa and other part of the world is its volatility. This is actually because no one has control over the mining process. Most crypto mining process takes place on personal computers.
Despite all this,the number of businesses accepting cryptocurrency as payment method remains high.
I just hope that the issue of bitcoin volatility would be solved soon because many countries see crypto currency as a way to increase their wealth.

 

The improvement has began over times and bitcoin has gone a long way over a decade and more,I don't think we still have to look back at the previous means of exchange that we have, although bitcoin hasn't fully been considered a medium of exchange since it hasn't generally been accepted.

Bitcoin supports much lower transaction cost than fiat currencies. And we should also know that bitcoin never sleeps,you can send bitcoin to your relatives or friend anytime,no matter were the person lives and bit coin does settlement in minutes or less,fiat may take a few business days. Another thing about fiat that annoys me is the need to convert them depending on the country of a friends bank,for instance if u have a friend that lives in india,then u will have to change the currency to INR.

Bitcoin is easier to be moved around since it relies upon a digital network for distribution rather than physical storage and transportation of fiat.
Bitcoin is very easy to buy,sale and HODL, now there are numerous ways and platforms that people can choose from to buy cryptocurrency.
It Is s important for anyone to dance to the tune of their days.
Bitcoin is the currency we have for this our modern world,and I expect everyone to HODL bitcoin.
We should improvise and improve with how the current currency rebirth is going, I don't expect everyone to HODL shit coin and I dont advice any one to find their way into NFT since its non profitable (non fungible tokens)
