Is pascal on any chinese exchange yet?

Exchanges like coins with high volume which translates into profits. Right now PASC volume is doing very well, so provided that don't change anytime soon I suspect it will be listed on a lot of exchanges including the Chinese ones. Though I don't believe it is currently.

I think what a lot of people are missing (including the dev?) is that PascalCoin solves the problem in Bitcoin of uncontrolled uxto-set growth. In Bitcoin this data grows with every unspent output. With PascalCoin the uxto-set is effectively replaced by accounts, which grow at a predictable and stable rate. The down-side of this is that anyone can't just create a new addresss/account, they need to be mined/exchanged.

Exactly. Bitcoins strongest feature, the blockchain, is also its biggest liability due to increasing size. Pascal figured out a way around the scaling issue, and I foresee a new breed of cryptos spawning based off this idea. Pascal will have first mover advantage just as bitcoin did. That's why I feel Pascal is a great investment at these prices. A 3m market cap is nothing nor does it come close to represent the volume it is receiving which is not all dump as others would like you to believe. It has a lot of buy orders being filled and sell orders in both directions.

Pascal offered something truly unique outside of the typical coin by removing the operations history, and other coins are already starting to clone it. That alone tells you that this concept will be explored much further. I personally feel the current price is still very low once you take into account that it wasn't a premine or ICO that favored insiders and devs, and we have yet to see this techs full potential. Pascal will most likely be a hot topic for some time as more people become interested in it.

Pascal blockchain can be consolidated down to 1 block? Is that how it works? If so, does that mean we could put the blockchain onto a smartphone?

This project is a scam, has been a scam, and continues to be a scam for all newbie investors. I fell into the scam at first myself and lost money, mainly due to them dumping the market to pay themselves. That alone is a huge RED FLAG to any investor. They promise the moon but deliver nothing meanwhile taking vacations and buying expensive gifts for themselves yet still NEVER EVER getting anything done. They have run out of money more than once and have stole coins that were meant to be destroyed to continue to pay themselves at the expense of investors. They have dumped the price many times and will continue to do so until they run out of funds. I think at this point in the scam all that is left is bag holders trying to prop up the market in order to unload onto the next guy who took the bait.

The price will slowly dwindle down and so will the volume. Anyone stuffing money in ETH at this point is either delusional, in denial, or were conned into believing it would someday rise again. The legalities haven't even set in yet. Wait until class action lawsuits enter the picture and a federal or state investigation begins.

Expect plenty more like it from other sources.

That's what I was thinking. Now that the cat is out of the bag the rest of the media will jump all over it.

Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH?
by

Although there is truth in some of your words, the same has been said for the past week even at prices like 500-600. The actual truth is that nobody knows where it will go because this is actually an exciting projects backed by institutions, banks, companies not like other altcoins that are made for a bunch of nerds concerned about privacy to buy drugs. That's what killed the whole scene, Ethereum is the first project (a very professional down, top to bottom) that will cater to a very interested audience. Of course it can become a little irrelevant with the course of the months and years and that's about it.

However, it holds the chance to completely change the way we do things, banks for example are looking for a blockchain standard, imagine if in some months the major banks start to adopt Ethereum not just flirt with it? And then comes development of dapps, etc, that's why there's so much interest in it, the potential is really unlimited.

The other projects are just nice hobbies compared to it, taking out all the BS bitcoin clones, nobody even uses Bitcoin they sure won't use freaking Litecoin or Dodge or whatever privacy enforced sh*tcoin they are pushing. It won't happen.

I've been fully invested in Ethereum from the get go, don't get me wrong, but I also have my feet planted on the ground. I have no doubt ETH will be a strong contender in the crypto world going forward, until replaced that is. I'm very happy I got on board early on, but I try not to lose sight of reality, especially when it comes to my money, and the reality is there is millions of Eth holders not in the market, and it will only take one or two whales to wipe the entire buy market out. I don't like those kind of risks, nor should you. So it's worth mentioning. After another year or two and ETH becomes more widespread and into many more hands, not a handful of whales, it will be much more stable.

Right now they are using buy walls to heard sheep into their sell walls. That's all that is happening right now. Why sell to the market when the sheep willingly gobble it up? These buy walls, these guys got ETH either FREE or for a few pennies. They could give one rats *ss if somebody dumps a few k into their 50k+ wall. They know in the end the sheep will gobble it up at the next wall. They started doing this around the 400k mark. Watch next time you see the walls go up, and watch how the sheep flock and gobble up the higher wall.

ETH has entered the 'Greater Fool' territory. The sell liquidity is crap. If you have a large volume you pretty much need somebody to buy it from you, because the buy market is thinly spread. I sold my Eth a few days ago. I should have held a bit longer, sure, but I look it at in 2 ways: there is Profit and there is loss. I chose profit. Now many have bought in at extremely low prices as I did, so losses for those are probably not even a concern. However, it is a major concern for anyone who recently entered. I'm not saying it won't go up more, but rest assured, what goes up must come down. Nothing goes up forever; heed the warning.

I sold all my ETH at high 600. The market is too overheated for me, and the sell orders have become extremely overcrowded at the .007 price. Any selloff at this point could turn into an avalanche so beware OR I could be completely wrong and it will go to the moon. Smiley

Re: Litecoin is officially dead
by

Bitcoin rise is LTC's gain. That's been  the case this past months while monitoring LTC and BTC price on coinmarketcap.

yea but this time is small price change last time was great price change
but it not over yet it still have time

The price pairing of litecoin and bitcoin, in my opinion, had more to do with the early community. The bitcoin/litecoin community was a shared 'knowledge' that the bitcoin and litecoin price would rise in pair, but as bitcoin's popularity exploded the newer users (such as myself) didn't share that sentiment. I feel the price disparity will widen moving forward. As a new user to bitcoin this year I read up on all the popular coins, and to be honest I laughed at the notion that litecoin was the silver as bitcoin is to gold. That comparison just doesn't hold any water for me. I've been a silver stacker for years and  litecoin has none of the qualities that the silver to gold has. I do not share any litecoin information with friends and family because I feel it is a risk, and I would feel really bad if I talked a family member into buying it and then it crashed. I stick to bitcoin, tinker with ether, and would only ever recommend bitcoin to my friends or family. That's how I view it as a newer user.

Re: Ether as an investment?
by
RiOtT
on 06/12/2015, 16:18:26 UTC
The future for Ethereum looks good, but Bitcoin's looks better. I personally buy Ether all the time but get out of it quickly. I mainly use it to increase my bitcoins, and that probably goes for a lot of people. Bitcoin's popularity is soaring right now, Ether - not so much, so would you rather own Ether or Bitcoin? That's the only question you need to ask yourself. Keep in mind exchanges are starting to kick low volume altcoins which will pretty much seal their fate, but as long as the volume of Ether stays high it should still be fine to own it. Just be warned there is a TON of ETHER, it's new, and there is a ton of whales ready to unload at a moments notice thus crashing the price. Plus the average person getting into bitcoin won't even glance at Ether nor would careless about it. That may change in the future though. Who knows.

It's not worth to HODL.
It's price will converge to the first sale price (0.0005 btc) now it's just pumped & dumped...

This is absolutely retarded "analysis".

/agree

She doesn't seem to understand economics and/or investing very well. When you have corporations using your platform it's no longer a faith-based, speculative or fad market. It has real world implications with real world corporate investments, goods, and services with real world profits and earnings attached to it. Can't say that much for the other 99% of the altcoins. I guess if those things didn't matter we wouldn't have a stock market lol.

There will be uptrend....there are a lot of BOT that in these 3 last days have taken the price low, when real players are coming back ETH will rise to the moon.

After the DEVCOM i think the price will be around 0.0040/0.0050 then up and up and up!

I'm a little surprised Devcon hasn't started pricing in. Maybe a little has, but the up trend is slow right now. I think many are hoping that the price will go down some before biting, but they may not get that chance. My bet is that if Ether takes any surge, what-so-ever, in price it will get ran up quickly, and even if there is a head-fake dip, I don't thing too many will fall for it nor will it last very long. Not at this stage.

Now that Bitcoin has settled down a bit and the DEVCON1 conference is a couple days away, I feel now would be a good time to hold some Ether. That bitcoin fluctuation really messed with it, so I'm glad that ride is over with. Hopefully a lot of positives will come out of the conference, and I'm looking forward to hearing what Microsoft has to say.

Until this bitcoin bull run stops it is extremely risky to own ETH. It will surge on its own merit in the coming week(s), but not during this btc run. Best thing I did was exit my position allowing me to buy much more at the lower prices. This washout will spread the coin out further which in return will strengthen it in the long run. I feel it still needs another decent dump to build a base and gain traction. It needs to hit the 50c and hold to prove to me and many others that a bottom was formed. Stormy weather ahead, that's my prediction.

Prepare for an attempt to shake out weak hands....incoming now.

Got a nice big order waiting for the weak handed to start dumping. All it takes is one big drop at this tension level to get others to fold their hands. I'll be at the bottom scooping them up heh.

It will hit probably $10 USD in the near future....don't see it going any higher for some time. .. now that we have Microsoft under our wing things are looking even stronger than ever before. We could not have asked for a better sponsor for this coin!

Could go much much higher once we switch over to POS.

MIST wallet is releasing next week ( first DAPP on Ethereum) * The official release of the ETH Decentralized Wallet app https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/09/16/ethereum-wallet-developer-preview/

Awesome. Thanks for the info, Blazin. I agree, Ether is a powerhouse hitting the market and most haven't realized it yet. Wait until it begins bleeding over into the mainstream media. It hasn't even hit those airwaves yet, but it seems to be doing just fine right now. I won't hold my breath for $10 just yet though. If it hits $2 or $3 I'd be equally happy. Unfortunately I was not an early investor for Ether since I was a bit late to the game myself, but I have done lots of research over the years on bitcoin and then ether as of lately. I will definitely be increasing my holdings over the next couple of months.
