Re: ERC20 gives birth to too many shitcoins
by

It is true, many erc20 tokens are utterly useless and will never be used for anything as their ICO claims are never fulfilled. On the other hand it is good for everybody that it is so easy now to create a token. I can easily now launch a token for a personal project without any real cost and this token is secured by the ethereum network. This gives rise to a lot of innovation.

This flood of useless erc20 tokens also has a self healing mechanism as now people start to realise that it is not worth it to throw money at every dumb token ico project.

Re: Best privacy coin?

A 51% attack on a Proof-of-Stake cryptocurrency is an unrealistic scenario and it's strange to bring this up as a critique against Spectrecoin.

Think about what you are saying Acura: You believe someone can acquire more than half of all coins (!) and then will use that to attack the chain? Even if someone somehow managed to acquire such an enormous amount of coins (I doubt it would even be possible) it would cost this entity unbelievable sums as the price would increase to unforseeable heights and he would be the largest stakeholder in the network. So what possible reason could this entity then have to attack his own stake after spending an insane amount of money on this? It doesn't make much sense.

The Spectrecoin developers have implemented a unique consensus algorithm (PoAS or 'StealthStaking') which makes Spectrecoin currently the only cryptocurrency that has truly anonymous staking! The dual-coin system of Spectrecoin is a massive advantage and not a weakness. It allows users to choose. It allows services to implement xspec whereas spectre might be more difficult, or technically or legally impossible.

To quote Satoshi Nakamoto: 'If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry'

Acura,  I will make a spectre transaction and you will tell me where it ends up ok? Since by your claims Spectrecoin is not a good privacy coin because it has a dual-coin system, it should be very easy for you to track this transaction. Let's see if there is some substance behind your claims or if it was all just hot air to pump your Pirate bags. I wish you good luck  Wink

So please tell me where this payment came from and where it ends up. Hint: it originally was in public xspec. Since you claim Spectrecoin's dual-coin system is allegedly a privacy weakness, I am REALLY interested to see this proven now.

I hope xspec shoots up high when the altseason starts! But it also needs to get on bigger exchanges

The point of ICOs was to finance something in a decentralized way with no middle men. IEO is a step backwards.

Passive income through Proof-of-Stake is great and makes holding the coin much more interesting. I am staking Spectrecoin where users can choose between normal staking (XSPEC) and anonymous staking (SPECTRE). The reward is much higher if you stake SPECTRE and it is quite profitable.

I have done many conversions, everything is working perfectly fine. Sometimes people just get confused because for the conversion you have to enter a Stealth address (not a normal one) even for SPECTRE -> XSPEC

Re: XRP rises quickly!
by

XRP is perhaps the biggest scam in the crypto world. The founders simply created a massive amount of coins out of thin air and then started to employ a large social media shill army to lure naive gamblers into buying their tokens.

They make money from new partnerships as their company share value increases and they make money from all the gullible people that buy their utterly useless tokens. In the end they will all (they are already) be rich and laughing and the fools will sit on worthless XRP.

I have already updated to v3 now.

When the fork happens in 2.5 weeks, we can start stealthstaking right away, but it is probably recommended to switch your coins to spectre after the fork for staking.

Woohoo really great!

When will xspec get on Binance or other large exchanges?

It is one of the most interesting coins out there and it can not be overlooked much longer.

To me, IEO is almost a scam. Normal investors will not have a good experience with this. ICOs are not perfect, but anybody can invest there without an issue.

How many XSPEC do you have to own to get stake rewards on a regular basis? I know there is no minimum, but if you have a low amount you have to wait a long time.

It's possible for monero to reach 500$ imho, privacy is the next big focus in cryptocurrency.
I am holding three coins to cover the privacy coin field:  Monero - large cap, Zcoin - medium cap, Spectrecoin - micro cap.
So I think I'm well set up in this area

Jackflag is right, the bear market is not the time to sell, it is the time to buy. What better time to buy a coin than after it has dropped more than 90%? Just analyse the coins your are interested in carefully, so you are well informed and can buy in where you see potential for future growth.

On Discord I read that the v3 fork date will be one week earlier on May 17th, can't wait to finally have StealthStaking!
