Would be great also to have some news from the multipool.
I understand that people move to hashcows but such a pool buys just automatically and on a spreaded time.
A good zeitcoin multipool should buy intelligent when zeitcoin price is lower (best automatically with some good algorithms)
and payout people regularly.

Weeks ago there was also news about a platform to support projects. Any news about this?

What would be interesting if there is a weekly update or something.
Put this on the main page, on other news channels, etc.
This shouldn't take that much time, but keeps a community happy.

Everyone is saying Zeitcoin is for the long term, but I think some fundamental things have to change then:
- Although I believe in Zeitcoin, I see the community is getting smaller and smaller. Major reason is the amount of new things popping up. The main page isn't updated for a long time. I'm not sure who in charge here, but people should be getting informed from time to time
- The wallet has some issues. Although I'm able to mint again, the wallet for sure needs an update in efficiency. I saw some items in github, but status is currently unknown (again information, guys)
- The multi-pool is something simular, someone started it, then people mine on it, but then suddenly no information. This drives people away from this coin.

I'm not pointing a finger at someone because I'm not active participating due to lack of time and therefor have no right to do that. But I want the best for this coin and this is just my observation.
Just to make it clear, I'm not into this for a quick profit, I never sold off anything except once to buy more afterwards.

I don't use a zeitcoin.conf anymore, but before when I had a zeitcoin.conf I had the same issues. I removed the conf because of most nodes were obsolete.
Maybe I need to rebuild the wallet again. Because of the message on the zeitcoin forum, I thought it was a general issue.
Maybe it's because my wallet runs on the crappy windows 8 :-p, but on other wallets I never had that problem.

The wallet hangs 5 seconds and then 1 seconds alive, then 5 seconds hang ...

I have to say the last 7 days, i'm unable to mint any coins due to the slowness of the wallet. Any news about the new wallet? (I've tried the unofficial with only coin control, but it didn't help). I saw on github more changes, so hopefully it solves my issue. But for that I like to wait until the wallet if official.

ok, I will wait until the new wallet is available. Indeed Zeitcoin is still my favorite. I'm mining Asiacoin now. I think this coin will increase seriously in value after a week or so. So then I can buy more Zeitcoin.

Since a week or so, the wallet behaves very strange. I've still the official 1.0.2 wallet, but it hangs most of the time and comes every couple of seconds awake. Usually I miss a lot of minting due to that. I've read that there are issues, but not sure if those are the same as what I see. Also in the beginning this wallet worked well.
Any idea what could be wrong?

Yes, but darkcoin is an older coin. I'm not saying we are where darkcoin is now, but on short term, it should be possible to grow. Zeitcoin has also a large community. (compared to a lot of other coins released the same time)

Yes, but Blitz and Greece have less coins I think. Comparison needs to be at least on marketcap (for value of coin) and trade volume (for popularity). If trade volume is low for a long time, but price is high, usually coin is pumped but not backed up by a community and will drop later on fast. Zeitcoin is currently placed around place 50 in coinmarketcap and then same on trade volume. So the price is justified and backed up.

Question is more what does these coins offer more. In principle different algorithm, but mining is not really connected to trading. You only need to have people believe in it. We have a good community, so this is realistic.

I did some calculations based on marketcap.
If zeitcoin reaches the same marketcap as vertcoin, darkcoin, ... which is a realistic target, it will probably be around 10x more worth, so 20 satoshi. This is in the near future a reasonable target.
If zeitcoin goes very popular and reaches marketcap of dogecoin, then we already talk about a price of 100 satoshi. This will of course not be for the short term.

Marketcap Litecoin: zeitcoin = 1000 statochi, marketcap bitcoin: zeitcoin = 20000 satoshi.

Zeitcoin volume is quite low on MintPal. We have to be careful or we loose the ZeitCoin/BTC and move to LTC. Let's try to improve it a little bit.

25 percent POS is probably calculated if a block and it's intrest stays untouched. So ideally every 20 days, you get a POS block. This means in a year, you get 365/20=18,25 times POS. So every 20 days you get around 1,25 percent intrest because 1,0125^18,25=1,25 or 25 percent. This also means if you do not open your wallet for a year, you will get 22,5 percent.

If the intrest is not calculated in the 25 percent, then it's 28 percent ideally.

I have used cryptsy a lot the time that doge was popular. Cryptsy is slow in deposits as soon a lot of deposits come in. I think the wallets processing is the problem there, because they have a lot of coins with a lot of transactions. So it can take sometimes 12 hours or longer to get the deposits. However I never lost coins. So quick deposit and sell
or buy is better done on Mintpal.

I remembered people shouting a couple of weeks ago that Zeitcoin was just an exact copy of Mint and that the devs were only wanting to get rich quick. This prooves again, Zeitcoin is the best coin there is.
