Never mind...continued reading posts..you said something about being an anarchist or somesuch...No point discussing with you.
Well there's always a point discussing and exchanging views - but yes, eventually you're going to reach a disagreement in ends rather than means.

That's true with all political/ethical views though. Contrary to conventional wisdom there is no "right" position which can be reached through argument. If we let that prevent argument we'd never get anywhere. It's helpful to understand the positions of others, even if they're irreparably alien to you.

Most of government's functions in a modern society are coercive, the role of the police is coercive, prisons are coercive, the system of law and order is coercive-and I suppose you have no problem with prisoners being punished? Taxation is coercive, but without that we wouldn't have roads, a functioning state education system or the police. Coercion itself is bad, but in some spheres it can be used for good. Either way the extent to which the minimum wage is coercive might be exaggerated, a majority of Americans earn above the minimum wage.

To most conservatives that would be a very valid response, but I am an anarchist, so I buy your bluff.

Retaliatory force is positive, that's not what I mean when I say coercion - by coercion I mean initiatory force. The minimum wage doesn't correct some transgression of a contract the employer has neglected - it asserts a price floor and outlaws all free association below that price. Therefore, it falls into the latter category.

What are your thoughts about the minimum wage? Is it a job killer or a way of ensuring companies pay their workers fair wages and what do you think about its effects on employment?
Irrespective of its economic effects, it's coercive. It obstructs voluntary association. I am therefore opposed to it.

Another thing to add to the "Reasons The GOP Is In A Panic" list: Bernie Sanders heavily appeals to younger voters & independents.

That program amounts to pennies out of the Middle Class paycheck.

Pennies here pennies there.

Counting sales tax, for goods and services purchased, and then withholdings, how much to you suppose all of these "penny" taxes add up to out of ones paycheck? My guess is 25 - 35%.

He may feel there exists that statutory authority to arrest under Louisiana law. I am interested in looking at the statute first before I prejudge. The truth is that there are statutory and regulatory limitations on free speech and assembly that the courts have determined to be constitutional. Maybe he has one. The arrests are likely to sort this out,as judges begin to see the suspects and the charges and does a little legal research. The arrest examination is part of the clarifying process in law.

The Supreme Court already ruled on Westboro, they can still protest outside a buffer zone between them and the funeral legally. I believe La. has such a law that implements a buffer zone, and if it's violated the demonstrators are subject to arrest.

Did he or did he not command it to be flown at half mass?

Yea he lowered it after 5 days of people criticizing him for not lowering it.

Another typical low class move on the part of this pro-Islam terror anti-American occupier.

That drugs are bad.

I would say the misconception between drug use and drug abuse

..we have a normal understanding that most people who drink alcohol are not addicts, but we do not hold this same understanding for illegal drugs. We make little to no distinction between drug users and drug addicts

Incredible. Simply beyond belief. Are you two really Cheech & Chong? A doper is a doper.

You know how the left always brags that Obama has more deportations than Bush, well Obama can pad his numbers if he raided the UCLA work place.

And what about E-verify? If I applied for a job at UC wouldn't they ask me for proof of citizenship and an I-9 form?

The left talks about removing what entices illegals to come here and one of those things are the employers who hire them. Well, what do you say now?

Re: Is India really a regional power?
by
Riniojet
on 09/07/2015, 10:15:37 UTC
To my way of thinking India with the nukes & large conventional military it has to be considered at least a regional power.

UN security council permanent members should be US, EU (the EU should represent all EU member countries as one nation), Russia, China, India & Pakistan ( as the representative of the Sunni Islamic world). Some consideration should also be given to the non-nuclear states of Brazil & South Africa as representatives of the South American countries & black African Countries respectively.

@ Riniojet  There was a suggestion about a strong EMP being used to knock out nuclear weapon systems but that is the first thing they would be shielded for.

No....I never implied an EMP would be used to knock out any Pakistani or Indian Siloed Nukes.

You are correct...they are shielded from this.

What would happe is U.S. Quantum Processing Computers exist at over the 1000 Quibit Level now.

We can crack any Launch Code and install a Algorythmic Directive that willl not allow a launch.

If you have doubts about this U.S. Cyber Command and Private U.S. Military Contractors in thie field....Google about how SOME UNKNOWN GROUP.....was able to install a Virus into 2 Iranian Underground Nuclear Facilities that had Ten's of Thousand's of CENTRIFUGES runing night and day to enrich Reactor Grade Uranium to WEAPONS GRADE URANIUM.

This UNKNOWN GROUP...was able to penetrate two secret Underground Iranaian Nuclear Facilities and install a Program that made the Cetrifuges RUN AT THE WRONG RATE OF VELOCITY!!!

To enrich Uranium from Reactor Grade to weapons Grade you need to do this with thousands of Centriguges as this is a very old way of doing enrichment as Iran does not have the Technology Level of Russia or the U.S.

This Viral Program installed not only had the centrifuges running at the wrong velocity but as well had the Mainframe Computer as well as EACH INDIVIDUAL CETRIFUGE DIAGNOSTIC telling the Iranian's everything was running at proper spefications.

THEY WERE NOT!!!

This set back Iranian Uraniam Enrichment back 12 to 18 months.

We can blast through any firewall.....as we are the ONLY NATION....well the U.S. and CANADA....that is currently using Quantum Processors, Computers and Systems which can blast though 5024 Bit Algorythmic Ecription and well above that as well.

We can SHUT DOWN a Nation like India or Pakistan's ability to Launch ICBM's.

The Non-Nuclear EMP's would be used to render INERT Large Divisions of Mechanized Forces.
