the government approves already.
by not disapproving!!

we dont need regulations.
regulations are for businesses to monitor, police and tell and limit what customers can do with their own funds.
we dont need regulations

we need consumer protections.
which are penalties for businesses who wish to steal,, run off or pretend they were hacked. that way business owners cant easily retire with people funds.

i really wish people learned the difference between regulations and consumer protections..
but here is a short lesson..

how much help did regulations ever do during the 2007-8 crises!
banks were regulated but still screwed millions of people

regulations are not a badge of trust. its a rusty sherrifs badge of authority that allows them to police normal people but allows them to be corrupt unpunished. and also get to do it because people WRONGLY think a sherrifs badge is a badge of honour

Yeah nice insight! going to use consumer protection from now on, that's a way better explanation for what we really want and need, gratz for the merit thro! haha could use some in my direction too haha  Cheesy  Roll Eyes

As a Crypto enthusiastic for two years, there is something that still worries me when thinking about the future of bitcoin, and is his mass adoption, I see with concern that in my circle of friends that many people have already lost interest in bitcoin since the madness of last December. For us, bitcoin is the future of transactions, but I think many people are confused and thought its value is only superficial, without seeing the great potential it carries.

Now my question is, what could we do as individuals or company to promote mass adoption? In my case I have a webshop with several methods of payment in cryptos offering bitcoin-related merchandise, I am also planning to offer free webinars to help beginners interested in taking their first steps in this world, but what do you believe can be done to continue promoting the massive adoption of bitcoin?

1st thing is if you own a retail shop or sell merchandise to people give them a 10% discount for using Bitcoin.  If you are mostly a purchaser try to frequent shops who accept Bitcoin and always ask if they would consider it.  Just getting to word out may be enough.  Everyone like tax-free transactions as well. We win and the government loses!!

I think one of the problems for most entrepreneurs is to get suppliers that accept cryptos, personally, I can pay my designers in cryptos because they are also receptive, but materials such as fabric or POP I usually have to pay in fiat.

That is very true because many people around the world entered into this crypto world by thinking that the price of BTC will always go high and they all can become rich in no time. But they don't know how this market works so they all disappointed when it crashed and most of them may not come back to cryptos in their lifetime. These people should understand one basic thing that bitcoins are limited compared to world population so when bitcoins are started to use in the mainstream for most of the businesses then its price can still run up many folds. So they should take this downturn opportunity to buy some and hold.

Of course that is something that many do not understand, that sooner or later bitcoin is going up because of its limited supply, although I would not like those people just to get in because the price could go up when the supply ends, that would attract hodlers and money have to flow if we want to reach mass adoption, I think bitcoin has many attractive things that we could try to spread, for example, international transactions at a cost of $1 should be something extremely mesmerizing for most people.

Looks like you have been in the Crypto world for a long time because you can already promote Bitcoin by giving free webinars, this method can socialize Bitcoin to people who do not know Bitcoin.
But if I can advice, please have a seminar in each country so they can get closer to Bitcoin. with the seminar, I'm sure new investors will emerge.

Yeah, that is a good option but that would be expensive for now, maybe I can do webinars in different languages to come closer to your idea, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

as in any market, not all businesses always survive, sometimes many developers will try several times before being successful, the problem now is that the money is drying up, so efforts and investments are concentrated in the most famous altcoins.

It's not worth it, and even less in this low market, I would recommend you to get to Jr member at least before trying to make the signature campaign, since the newbie have many restrictions on their signature and so it is not worth making them at that level, if you can try to become a member, it would be much more beneficial.

I think it is not easy to stay calm when you see that your investment loses 30% of its value in a week, but I think that everyone who enters this market is clear that investments have to be made in the long term, now ethereum presents a new opportunity to invest, which we can also take advantage of.

I believe that until now, we can say that ETH is definitely the king of the alts, because despite its huge fall these weeks, is still a really reliable currency when using it as a development platform, although there are projects like waves, elastos or EOS that come to bring competition, I think that at least in the next few years, ETH will remain firm in its position.

Although there is a lot of negativity around bch, especially in this forum, I think it is a good currency and has several beneficial features that differentiate it from btc, so you have to be very careful when talking about any of the two, as they are very similar currencies, but also very different.

I want to believe that, but we must also be cautious because it can be a spike, and can continue to fall as hard as before, although it has recovered 10% in a day, we still have to be cautious with our investment, it would be better to wait a couple of months to be able to read well the movements of the market.

Of course, I would not be here if I did not feel excitement and passion for cryptos, every day the first thing I do is review prices to see how my investments are doing, then I read the news of the day and I go to my favorite forums, such as Reddit and bitcointalk.

It is normal that in these bear markets the price goes down enormously because the investments are drying up a bit, at this moment the investors only hope that the market stabilizes and the whales stop dumping to be able to put money back in the market.

I think it is still as risky as before, now the problem is that you have to investigate more to find a good alt that has not reached its ATH yet, so it is advisable to learn a lot about economics, so you can try to read better the movements of the market.

I think that optimism is very important, and not only in this market, also in a healthy daily life, sometimes it is better to think positive to bring better energy around you if you only have negative thoughts they can be materialized and sabotage your plans for the future.

I don't think that 85$ is going to bring you a lot of profit regardless of the currency you choose, because now the market is much lower than last year, so you're going to have to take a lot more risks if you want to make a profit.

I think we're making it harder for scammers to fool people because we're becoming more educated about our investment, and projects like bitconnec aren't sustainable for that long because the money that comes into the market isn't much and it's usually for well-know established currencies.

Re: Bounty for NEO, ETH, BTC or Fiat

You can try different platforms like bountyhive or bounty0x, also this same forum can be a good source of information, but it is very difficult for a campaign to make a bounty like this, because it would mean taking money out of their pocket to pay the bounties, which they do not prefer, remember that many times the tokens are already pre-mined, so they pay you with that hoping they have some value in the future.

Re: Crypto currency back from the dead?
by

I think cryptos were never dead, we were just in a bear market, and that's why the price was falling constantly, until now in moments of rising, we are seeing downward trends that continue with the volatility, I think it will be until the end of the year, which is when the market always recovers.

Re: Why is the market red
by
Ritaaa
on 07/09/2018, 20:00:23 UTC
I think no one can give you an accurate answer, but many believe that we are still seeing the repercussions of the bull market in December, there is also a general consensus that the market is being manipulated by whales that take advantage of the FUD they generate to buy at a lower price, of course, so far those are speculations, but are the most likely.
