That last post shows the exact kind of pci express connector that I need.  How do I find the L shaped pins?

Thanks so much!

I can solder repair stuff, I'm just wondering about the plugs...  where to get the right replacement plugs on the board.  I'm thinking I have to keep the metal parts of them, while just replacing the plastic parts?   I think they are different than normal pci express plugs.  I'll try to get some pics uploaded as soon as i can.

Thanks very much for replies.

Please help. Replacing pci express male connectors on Antminer C1.

Hello.  The antminer C1 has 8 pci express male connectors built into it.  I have been powering it with two EVGA 80 plus bronze 500 watt power supplies.  That uses 4 of the plugs (two for each supply).  All was well for like a year, then the power supply pci express connectors melted into the board's male plugs and I had to RMA the power supplies because the plugs were melted.  Thankfully, they let me rma those.  The male plugs on the board had the power supply plugs melted into them.  Luckily I was able to just go ahead and use the other 4 plugs once I received the new power supplies.

Well, the same thing has happened again.  The power supply plugs melted into the board plugs so now all 8 plugs on the Antminer are ruined and need replaced.  Is this easy to replace the male pci express plugs built onto the C1 boards?  Do I need specialty plugs of some sort, or can somebody tell me how to do this and where i get the replacement plugs?  Pleeeeassseee?  I'm not sure if they use typical pci express plugs.  It looks like i need to unsolder the 6 pins from the opposite sides that connect it to the board, but there are six L shaped metal connectors that plug from the board into the bottom of the pci express male plugs.  I seen some replacement plugs on Frozen CPU so far, but they are just all plastic, with no metal or even holes where you'd attach them to the board.

Hopefully they let me RMA the power supplies again.  But I will definitely need to replace the male pci express plugs on the board as well.

I'd highly appreciate any assistance and advice that the community can provide me.

Hello Vorta!

I was wondering... how much degrees Celcius did you lose for each step when:

1. Repasted the miner with a much better thermal paste?  (and what paste did you use?)

2. Added mini heatsinks on the external side of the hashboards with adhesive termal paste?

3.  Closed the miner's heatsink with 3D printed plates so no air can run out on the top or bottom sides?

4.  Added fan ducts between fans and miners which direct most of the air through the main heatsink and blow just a little bit of air to external heatsinks, just to drive some airflow on the sides?

And finally, is there any way else that I can see your pictures that you posted?  For every picture doesn't show the picture and says :
bitcoin talk image proxy: invalid image

Thanks very much!  I was going to do the first two steps but am trying to find data showing if it is worth it or not.  Was gonna replace the front fan with a Enermax Twister Storm 120mm  UCTS12A :  (3 links to fan)   Or maybe two of them stacked with a pull fan on the otherside or maybe two stacked there as well.

pci express 6 pin connectors(X4) melted when mining
by

Hello.  I have an Antminer C1 and 2X EVGA 500W Bronze power supplies.

Everything has been working just great for about 8 months, but just recently my pci express connectors(6pin X 4 plugs) plugged into the Antminer all melted.  There was no overclocking.  Just at stock full power (250).

Do you think EVGA would RMA my power supplies?  Are they cool about them being hooked into Antminers?  They are non modular with the cords built in so i can't just unplug them and plug in new cables.  What do you think I should tell them?

I tried to send you the bitcoin but I still got the same transaction not accepted message.   (I took a screenshot but i guess i prob have to have an image host to link it here ya?  I can't remember which one i used its been so long, i'll figure that out later)

The popup window says:

-Transaction not accepted-

The transaction that you just executed, does not appear to have been accepted by the Bitcoin network yet. This can happen for a variety of reasons.

On some occasions the transaction actually will succeed and this message is displayed prematurely. To confirm whether the the transaction actually succeeded, you can try this direct link to blockchain.info:

https://blockchain.info/tx/ed2416ba06870c2a6d28...

If you do not see the transaction on that webpage within one minute, it failed and you should attempt to re-send it. If it does show up, then you do not need to do anything else -- it will show up in Armory as soon as it receives one confirmation.

If the transaction did fail, it is likely because the fee is too low. Try again with a higher fee. If the problem persists, go to "Help" and select "Submit Bug Report". Or use "File" -> "Export Log File" and then attach it to a support ticket at https://bitcoinarmory.com/support

When i click the link , it says "transaction not found" Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

thx for help

It seemed like when I installed bitcoin core, it took less than 5 hours to do everything and be ready and it was all automatic, while with armory, it took like 72 hours and I had to figure out a crapload of things to do over and over in order to make it work though...

I used all default everything.  No special paths or anything.  Does that mean I have to uninstall and reinstall bitcoin core?  For sure?   Just wondering.... how do you know that?  Thanks.

Can I send you or somebody like 0.001 bitcoin to see if it works with another address?  Is that too small of a transaction?  The default fee of 0.0001 would be fine right?

Or i guess i could send it to myself.   Just waiting on the rebuild/rescan.
