A funny fact is these days higher ranked members throw merit about to other higher ranked members for any sarcastic comment against the so called 'merit beggars'. And then turn round and tell lower ranked members, 'go make quality posts or you ain't getting anything'.
The double standard in here is on another level. Best to stay on read only mode for now.
But couldn't ignore this. A community where anyone can tag you a potential scammer and you can do nothing about it, since only the person can take it off. Or maybe they expect you'd go and beg the person. Someone didn't think something through. Buy well let's act like the only issue is the newbies, and how to make the forum unfavorable for them

Can we for a second stop complaining about merit begging spam, and consider the spam complaining about merit begging spam. It's all just the same repetitive posts complaining about newbies.

Bitcoin is a currency that is tradable and can be exchanged for other digital currencies and also fiat. It has a value, and can be used to store funds, (although it's volatility makes irmt better suited for investing and trading) It can also be referred to as an asset

It's very true that projects with a working product and useful applications and use cases, are very likely to survive bad markets, and thrive in a more favorable market. Besides BTC and ETH, I would Hodl, DASH, steemit, Cardano, zilliqa, CHT.

Most blockchain games that am aware of reward their users in order to attract attention and increase the community. CRYPTOGO, is one which would reward users in established currencies like BTC and ETH.

I think the market would filter out the poor currencies and only the quality projects would thrive. There is so many untapped potential in cryptocurrency, and new devs and creators are exploiting that and improving the community, this is always welcome.

I rarely short coins, I prefer investing and waiting for the price to grow, but over the last few days, NANO and monero have showed healthy volatility, so I would go with them. If I had to pick one more, I would go with Ethereum. It's my favorite coin, I always choose it when am out of options.

Timing is Key to making profits, the right time to buy and the right time to sell. Wait to long and you might miss the spike, sell early and you still might miss the spike. This dip is a good opportunity to fill up your bags and wait for a pump.

Investing in a currency you have researched on and identified to have potential is one of the safest ways of making profits in cryptocurrency. Short-term trading would be active trading, and a newbie would need to acquire the basic skills needed in day trading and pick a trading strategy.

Most prole like certainty and stab it, and these are the features they look for in any investment option, the volatility in cryptocurrency makes it a risky investment.

With a good knowledge of technical analysis and an ability to read charts, a trader could predict to a certain degree of accuracy, the next market movements, if it's going down or up. I don't think anyone can speculate in the exact future price.

Re: Big news for bitcoin and crypto currency
by

This is quite a positive news for cryptocurrencies, I have always viewed Switzerland as one of the most friendly countries for digital currencies, and it improved the popularity and adoption of cryptocurrencies.
I bought tons of bitcoin when the price was at 3k$ and then sold at about 17k$, I made profits then
It was good you invested early and took profits, only few people recognized the potential in digital currency quickly enough to capitalize on the last peak.
Bitcoin is now at about 6k$... but now I don't think that the price can go up again... Will it?
The price can definitely go up again, but maybe nothing like that of Q4 of 2017. The current dip provides another opportunity for investors to vymuy cheap.

I wouldn't expect a massive pump in the cryptocurrency market or anything simular to the ruse of 2017. The market should recover from the bearish trend, at some point, but no one knows when that would be.. For now, just Hodl.

You sell when you've made your target profit, or when you've reached your loss limit. Whether you're trading or investing, always have a target depending on the potential you place on the asset.

Notably, bitcoin's dominance has reduced over the past few months, but it still holds over 50% of the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum is the 2nd generation blockchain protocol and has more use cases and applications, but I don't think either would replace bitcoin.

This is a phase, one we have been through quite a number of times. The volatility in cryptocurrency causes such unpredictable dips and spikes. The hight of last year cast so much expectations on 2018, and in comparison it has been a bad year. But I am optimistic some select coins would survive and thrive in a more favorable market

Re: Bounty for NEO, ETH, BTC or Fiat
by
Rocktop044
on 10/09/2018, 18:20:28 UTC
Paying bounty hunters in ETH, BTC, or other top cryptocurrencies is a good idea and favours both parties in my opinion. Projects complain mostly of hunter dumping the tokens and negatively affecting the price. Rewards in other assets would settle that. And the hunters can have an option to claim in the tokens / coins if the feel it's worth the investment.
Hello. I want to hear your opinion. Cryptocurrency is a bubble? How long will it last? Is it worth continuing to invest in it?
No one can predict how long it would last, but it is a bubble in my opinion. The rapid rise, suprised most, as it value is mostly derived from demand and supply. Also the high volatility makes it unsuitable for long term investments. Float the bubble until it bursts.

There is no legitimate get rich quick venture, (no illegitimate one for that matter). You need to acquire the basic skill and knowledge as it is a new field. And the promise of high returns comes in the same package as the risk of huge losses.
