This sounds like april fools except we are on July.

Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"?

Also I also feel better at night, I actually feel good and more lucid, in the morning im sloppy, after I have breakfast I feel like going to sleep again, bad cold tolerance etc. At night is great. If I knew how to code I would code at night and I could get shit done, but I can't code cause my brain is good at music and artistic stuff but I was always bad at stuff that requires the sort of attention and logic that good coders have.
I think it might me about cortisol levels or whatever. I can't get much done cause I don't have the money I would need to do proper research. At least I feel ok at night. I might try forcing myself to go to sleep earlier for a period and wake up early and get some morning sun and see what happens. Maybe I fucked up my circadian rhythm due staying up late too much and this has an impact on thyroid, cold tolerance etc... after I do this then I will get some labs done again, get TSH, t4, t3, reverse t3, antibodies, iron levels, and some other hormones, and a 24hour urine test with cortisol free and total, 17 ketosteroids...+ a couple saliva samples for a proper cortisol curve and see if this changed anything. If there is no positive adaptation and I see no improvement in the morning and cold tolerance then I will have to look deeper, adjust thyroid meds and whatnot. I also got a test where they look at hairs and see mineral levels and toxic levels with inconclusive results. The problem is, it is very difficult to find a dr that can interpret such results and follow your case by step and get involved, and if you do then you need to have a lot of money which I don't. Anyway I don't want to derail the thread, my case is not that bad, most people have sluggish thyroids nowadays, I would like to have better cold tolerance and better mornings but having optimal health is pretty difficult because healthcare drs usually will not take a case like mine serious so you need to find and and pay a good one.

Manage your symptoms as best you can and continue to accumulate wealth, and eventually you'll have the resources to attack your health problem properly.

That your digestive system is in involved seems to indicate immune system involvement, thus I really think you should test also for infections and viruses, such as Epstein-Barr, Syphilis, etc... I think toxins are very unlikely the cause. It is much more likely to be a pathogen or cancer. One of your parathyroid glands (size of a grain of rice) can be defective and might need to be removed (you have 2 backups I think).

Get a CT scan also to look for tumors all over. Cancer can mess up our endocrine system. Might even be benign.

So many possibilities. You need a research hospital.

I understand why you want to mention it (so many times I did on these forums), because I know how frustrating it is to be handicapped by chronic fatigue and you'd prefer to do action but when you can't you can only communicate that you can't. I do agree let's try not to derail the thread. I understand somewhat what you are going through. You've just got to stay focused on the goal. Grind through it. Try to keep yourself occupied and as productive as you can.

P.S. my production is improving and I have only 8 more days (including today) on the intensive 4 drug regimen. I was hopeless for years, and I can't even describe all the daily suffering, but somehow I stayed focused on doing whatever I could do to work myself towards eventually finding a cure. I don't think anyone who hasn't been suffering on a daily basis can actually know what you feel. You really have to experience it in order to really empathize.

i feel tired and i have been paranoid about having cancer for more than 10 years

How can I guarantee that i dont have cancer? i hate being always paranoid about it

im also young still on my late 20s

its not so bad sort of what the jaytiesto said, just tiredness feeling  you are not at 100% but still annoying

And now i feel stressed about the hard fork, i have a lot of money invested in bitcoin and i dont know what to do

Interesting... I rescanned again and it turns out the confirmation finally confirmed, by the time I opened it had like 8 confirmations. Looks like it finally went through.. now I have to see if there is any problem with the domain name I bought for my website, I will check later to see if the funds are available on the site.

It crashed right when it got to 100%... Jesus Christ. I have wasted my entire day trying to get this thing done... you guys need to give better solution for this shit soon. RPF or something else that doesn't require waiting for scanning the entire blockchain.

What im supposed to do if it crashes again??

I have just tried "abandontransaction " and I get this:

"Transaction not eligible for abandonment (code -5)"

What does it mean?

Don't know what it mean but try using zapwalletexes instead. Refer to this post on how to do it for windows. The OP on that thread got the same message too.

Make sure you close bitcoin core before you do that. And backup your wallet.dat just in case.
Damn this is insane, looks like its going to take forever rescaning it.. i want to sleep.

The amount of BTC being sent does not matter. What matters is the actual size of the transaction in bytes. If you send the same amount in two transactions but one has more inputs than the other (thus making it bigger), then it will require a higher fee. Also, the condition of the network is constantly changing, so what worked a month ago may not work now.

It is stuck probably because your fee is too low. According to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ (which is known to be fairly accurate)
Quote
For the median transaction size of 258 bytes, this results in a fee of 20,640 satoshis (0.13$).

2800 satoshis is not enough.

Since you are using Bitcoin Core, you should just use the fee that Bitcoin Core recommends. If you choose the "Recommended" option and move the slider to "Fast", it will give you a fee that is usually enough to get the transaction confirmed in the next block.

To fix this, in Bitcoin Core, go to Help > Debug Window and then the Console tab. In the box at the bottom, type
Code:
abandontransaction
Where is the txid of your stuck transaction (when copying from the transaction list, make sure you remove the -000 that Bitcoin Core appends to the txid). Then hit enter. This will enable you to respend the inputs that you used in your stuck transaction so you can send it again but with a higher fee.

Cool I will do that. But how come blockchain.info recommends way lower fees?

Also the service I paid to says that they have received the money but I have to wait for confirmations and it doesn't let me generate a new address to sent Bitcoins at... when I cancel the transaction I guess I will be able to create a new sending address? Or do I send to the same address?

Transaction stuck for 10 hours (used Bitcoin Core)
by

I sent a transaction 10 hours ago, and it's still at 0/unconfirmed. I did not send the recommended fee, but the fee is decent enough (2800 sats).
A month ago I sent a transaction for the same amount of BTC, with a fee of 1800 sats and it went through without problems. The usual recommended fee in Blockchain.info is around 1500 sats, so 2800 is definitely decent...

Anyway, why is this thing stuck??? I paid for a service and now im stuck with the damn transaction at 0 confirmations... help?

PS: No, I will not post the transaction id for privacy's sake. There's nothing to see anyway... it just shows up the unconfirmed amount of BTC.

There are a ton of decent/quality posters being ignored by DannyHamilton
by

Or by anyone using his "ignore list" thing. Sure there's a lot of trash out there, but this guy is a nutjob by ignoring that much people, just to think the effort it took to ignore that much people is way more annoying than just ignoring the posts you don't like. Statistically a lot of people is being ignored thanks to that list that are posting decent stuff. Also it doesn't take into account people get better, overtime they learn and start posting more sound stuff.

So please stop ignoring people randomly, stop judging people on their signature and whatnot.

Re: Its time for the campaign runners to raise your pathetic rates
by
RonPaulBTC
on 25/08/2015, 01:08:33 UTC
Note: If bitcoin drops constantly below $200 I think would be a time to re-evaluate the rates.

Annnd to sub 200 we go. No excuses now, time to raise those rates. Im afraid we will keep going down for a long time. We are under WORLDWIDE PANIC right now, everything is fucking plummeting. Lets try to help people here getting some cheap Bitcoins during this period of time, who knows, maybe lives are being saved in the future. Maybe after the halving we will never see prices this low again, it's time to collect and to compensate people here for supporting Bitcoin even during the hardest times.

One thing to keep in mind is that signature campaign owners are not required to create these campaigns and pay users. The fact they do gives us an ability to earn a bit of extra money on the side, in a productive manner.

If your entire income is based on signature campaigns, you really need to re-evaluate your life to be honest.

I know people living in shitty places that are making a living thanks to signature campaigns. High unemployment, low payrates, 3rd world standard of living. Some have enough good english to keep making good posts and make more of what they could make working some slavery job. The importance of the signature campaigns is underrated, they save lives. Someone with good english and a computer in Peru that has a Hero account can be making above average monthly income. Signature campaigns are one of the main tools to distribute Bitcoin around the world to all kinds of people.

Re: What stops people storing large objects on the blockchain?
by
RonPaulBTC
on 05/08/2015, 21:55:17 UTC
Yeah seems pretty stupid to me. The best use would be to store hashes that convert to anything. A hash can convert into an entire book for example, and you can store the hash string for peanuts.
Pretty stupid is that you don't understand hashes.  A hash - doesn't 'convert into an entire book' - or anything.

How did the community get so many dumbasses?

It should be noted - Sha256 does not encrypt the data/content of your string, it instead generates a fixed size hash, using your input string as a seed.

This being the case - He got the idea wrong but he is right in the sense that I could feed in the content of an encyclopedia, which would be easily 100 mb in size of text, but the resulting string would still be 256 bits in size, but its impossible for you to reverse the hash, to get that 100mb of data back out of the fixed size hash, the best you can do, is try to guess / compute the seed data, hash, and then see if the hash matches the hash your trying to break.

If you could reverse the hash, you would have the greatest form of compression to date.

In any case, no need to be rude for no reason, we are here to learn, probably not even a native speaker. Now get your frustrated ugly bald head out of this forum and go back to being wrong on Youtube.

Re: companies and their privacy
by
RonPaulBTC
on 27/07/2015, 00:09:39 UTC
In a bright future where the bitcoin is used world wide, how do you think companies will protect their privacy over the blockchain?

I mean, ever bitcoin transaction of a company/brand is open and public in every computer mining it! Everybody know to whom this company sells/buys, which sums, etc etc..

How would a brand protect their privacy (clients, profits, payments, etc)? This is very important to companies! What do you think?
Yes, its incredibly important, and i have no idea. I think they would set HD wallets that generate new addresses for every new payment, im not sure how that works. I would like to use that myself. Having to give you address to a person and using the same address for each payment is not ideal.

Anything on the 4 figures would be decent, 5 figures ideal.

Four is possibility but Five is far away because this need too much time
