i have come back to bitcointalk after a long time and i was looking through topics to get updated and i noticed something strange.
there are a couple of topics that are all created by brand new accounts and then are receiving answers from other brand new accounts. all of them have only 1 post!

Re: All This Talk About Selling...Shame!
by

every time there is a price drop everyone on bitcointalk (mostly with brand new accounts) start doing charity work. they have such good hearts and are so concerned about other people that they make a lot of new accounts to warn them about the drop and tell them to sell. it is just coincidence and pure chance that they do it near the bottom.
god bless their hearts...

i still don't understand why people thing groups like Wall street traders and the rest came in recently!
who is to say that they have not been involved with bitcoin heavily from the early days. something like from 2013 when price first went to $1200 or even from much earlier when the first 3 huge bitcoin bubbles took place which nobody even knows about?

i say they have been with us all along, we are the "newcomers" no they...

Buy the dip, 2018 edition
by
RoommateAgreement
on 11/01/2018, 14:49:29 UTC
we are experiencing another beautiful dip because of some new FUD on the media and some weak hands panic selling their coins again.

so far the bottom has been tested at least twice in a major dip and another time in another small dip.

there is a pretty good chance that this time if we get over this dip, it will be the last dip that we are going to see this month.

Re: Thoughts on what's going on. ( Price related)

this is just a Christmas gift from the whales to the whole community to help them buy bitcoin at a huge discount of 40% off.
of course not everyone appreciates a great gift like that, so thy will ignore this dip and then regret it later on. and most of the newbies are seeing this as the end of the world because this is their first time seeing price drop of this magnitude going on.

Re: Bitcoin Ethereum Xrp [25K portofolio]
by

Bitcoin you can buy small quantity instead of buying 20K at once because people expect some correction but it may or may not happen soon. So don't simply wait instead buy a small amount first and wait for again right time to enter. You can also consider adding some IOTA which actually corrected and slowly started moving up again. Good luck to you in crypto investments..

While many are expecting Bitcoin to make a big correction soon such a dip may or may not happen as the whole Bitcoin community is watching what can be the effects of the Bitcoin Futures to the overall market of Bitcoin. Will it be a catalyst for a surge or will it dampen the overall sentiment of the market considering that there are those predicting the futures to be an instrument in limiting the value of Bitcoin just like what is happening with gold and other fiat currencies. Yes, the best thing to do is really diversifying one's portfolio so as to spread the risks involved. Aside from Bitcoin, there are now emerging altcoins really worth investigating and investing with. Good luck to OP!

i believe the dip that people were expecting already happened a couple of days ago. it was a complete week of dropping price, nearly. and that was the dip. waiting for the dip is not such a good idea anymore if you ask me although buying right now may also be risky.

also i do believe that the reason why altcoins are rising and you call them "emerging altcoins worth investing" is because bitcoin price stopped doing anything for the time being. it has been nearly 5 days without any wild swings in bitcoin apart from normal 3-7% swings every day.

Re: Cryptocurrency: Opportunities And Scams

when i enter the market. only more than 700 digital coins. However, it has grown to 2000 in recent times. Many of them are fraudulent. But there are also some dark coin to invest. you need to be careful

quantity doesn't matter, quality is important.

creating a new altcoin or like what they do these days, creating a token is very simple and it doesn't even cost you anything to do it except time. that is why we have thousands of altcoins out there these days.
but creating something that actually does something is the hard part. and that i why we only have a handful of projects that worth paying any attention to. the rest of them are only money making machines that every traders loves so they keep them alive.

don't give them any documents they will abuse it. and will most definitely sell your information to multiple high paying buyers out there to also abuse it.
their platform is also broken and it is already leaking information out:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

not to mention in the end they will close your account, disable withdrawals and rob you blind.

there is nothing to explain really.
altcoin market is a manipulated one and what you see here is a pump. there can not be this much money coming in just because all of them think these coins are "good" or even "half useful". they all know (well most of them anyways) what they are getting into and they will exit and the dump will come soon. just like it always comes.

Re: LTC Price continue to increase, do you regret to sell it all?
by
RoommateAgreement
on 14/12/2017, 08:21:29 UTC
a long time ago i learn a valuable lesson and i will be using it as my main goal. let me share it with you.

it is important to sell when you are in profit. in altcoins it becomes a lot more important because they are not stable investments and they have the high chance of getting dumped. and they do get dumped a lot after each pump.

but we can never predict anything in a manipulated market of altcoins with lots of pumping groups all around it. what that means is that sometimes you sell too soon or sometimes you sell and price goes up afterwards. there is no reason to worry about it, you can still buy back! nobody is preventing you to buy back saying you sold so you can't now Cheesy

so what i do is that i simply buy back when i see such a pump is going on and enjoy the additional profit that i am gaining.  but that still doesn't mean i won't sell when price is at the bottom and not moving at all just because i hope it can go up!

Re: Bitcoin cash , Worth to invest in ?
by
RoommateAgreement
on 14/12/2017, 08:13:24 UTC
maybe not by the time OP started this topic which is obviously more than 2 weeks ago and price has never reached his dreams.

but right now there is a very nice pump going on all around the altcoin market and bitcoin cash is one of the altcoins that is being pumped.
nobody can tell you when it will end or how much they can pump it. but it is not at the end of the pump yet. it will continue for some time and the profit is good. and because it is a big coin with lots of hype, the dump that comes after won't be as fast as dump of small altcoins.

Re: Order cancel fee
by
RoommateAgreement

your order was probably partially filled that is why you got smaller amount of bitcoin back after cancelling it. go check your balance and also history and you will see these amounts check out.

ps. partially filled means for example you wanted to buy 40,000 satoshi of some altcoin so you placed an order of that size. then someone sold less than that amount to you. for example someone sold you 10,000 satoshi worth of that altcoin and then you canceled your order so you received 30,000 satoshi and you already have that altcoin too.

Re: Super Bitcoin SBTC?

Yet another hard fork passed today - Super Bitcoin, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2546577.0

It's already trading at yobit: https://yobit.net/en/trade/SBTC/BTC

What do you think? To keep or instant dump?

first of all thanks for sharing this, because i actually missed it and i had some BTC funds on Yobit which i have to go and claim my rewards now Cheesy

since it is a fresh market and it was listed recently i say an instant dump is the best option. you can however look around a little and wait to see how the market is reacting but based on previous ones the price will get dumped when people realize they have gotten some "free money" and need to sell it.

i also have noticed there are two more markets: BTH and BTCUN which both seem to be forks of bitcoin! i dumped all buy BTCUN because i had small amounts at the time and dumping it wouldn't give me much so i decided to wait for its pump.

Re: Is it normal for ICO prices to drop once they're listed on the exchange?
by
RoommateAgreement
on 13/12/2017, 08:13:58 UTC
yes it is very common and it is a logical thing to happen too.
when something is listed on an exchange that means people are capable of selling it now. and they will surely sell and at the same time, there are less people willing to buy it either because they know the dump is going to happen or see it happening and wait for a lower price. whatever their reason, the result is the same. there is more sells than there are buys so the price drops at first.

later after this dumping phase was over, if the project is decent it will rise and go higher than the initial value. if it is not, then it will have a small recovery and then drop some more.

Re: IOTA clarifies it has no formal partnership with Microsoft !!! IOTA a scam...?
by
RoommateAgreement
on 13/12/2017, 08:02:07 UTC
why should IOTA be any different than other altcoins that spread the same lie? for example ethereum lied about the same thing too. they said Microsoft is a partner where it was similar to IOTA only a participant and had no affiliation ever. they just observed the technology to probably use it to their own advantage since it is open source.

it is all about how you hype the altcoin, and all of them are using the same lying techniques to create fake hype to pump their project.

Re: Litecoin to be over $5000 in 2018?
by
RoommateAgreement
on 13/12/2017, 07:44:24 UTC
i don't think $5000 is an easy target for an altcoin like Litecoin to reach. it is a good altcoin and i believe in it and i have said multiple times that it will have good rises but to go from $200ish range to $5000 will need some massive adoption and a lot of usages. and so far Litecoin doesn't have that real adoption as a currency part.

and that is the biggest problem with altcoins. when it comes to bitcoin, it is only bitcoin and what it  does and nothing competes with it. but when you start talking about altcoins it is not just litecoin, there are hundreds of them that can compete with each other. and so many of them are better than LTC.
