Hi guys, sent some to cryptoPia about 24h aga and it's weird, does not appear in the deposit, the wallet says it has been confirmed 1406 times through ten nodes, but the transaction id does not appear in the explorer, anybody has any idea of what is happening or has experienced similar problems ?

I'll thank the community manager for the quick answer, I'am sure we all appreciate it, and we do hope that the problem can be fixed. An active and reliable DeX is a big part of the appeal of the platform. As for prices well crypto will always be crypto they come and go.

Hi guys, I have an issue with the Des using the official waves client. I have been using the chrome extension for a long time, but it is dying off, and in fact is not properly working today, so I switched to the waves client (I know I am a bit slow) and tried to pass some orders using it, but whenever I try (I have more than enough active waves to buy what I am trying to buy, I get a message saying "something is wrong" when I press the buy or sell button whatever I am trying to buy or sell. Is it a general issue or am I just missing something. I combed the forum and could not find anything related to that type of problem.
have a good day and remember that bulls and bears follow each other

Thank's everybody, coins never reached my wallet (was not updated when I sent them), but they are credited on cryptoPia again, so no loss there. The issue is just annoying. As for the price going down, well pretty much everything is going down due to bTc micro bull run, probably will last a few more days but alts could have a bit of breathing space after that;

Transaction is complete according to the block explorer and Cryptopia, address is correct, but I have not received anything in my wallet anybody had similar issues lately ? We did have a few issues with cryptoPia in the past, I thought they were resolved, but might not be the case

Re: bitcoin back to $500 is likeley
by
Rosam

500 is unlikely in the near future. However nobody (except maybe a few key players) has a clue at where the bottom is because too many factors are at play that are not that well known. One of them being the running cost of mining companies. They are powerful actors and would be likely to react to price coming to close to a non profit zone (if you want an idea of the cost of producing one Btc you can look at https://www.investopedia.com/news/how-much-does-it-cost-mine-bitcoin-around-world/, but it will only give you a very rough estimate. Bottom line is at 6k, people are still making money, at 4K, it's unlikely (you have to add the cost of manpower, taxes, equipment, etc ..), unless everybody moves to Venezuela or Bangladesh, but that's a risky business decision to make (and infrastructures just are not there anyway). The other thing is that cryptos are not in bubble, their movement are connected to what happens in the rest of the world. If you have a serious fall in price of stocks (could happen), nobody knows how big holders (who are likely to have money in stocks as well) would react. Temptation would be strong to get out of bitcoin to take advantage of a strong dip in stocks or cover losses. Every market has a bottom, it does not mean to say that you can have an idea of where it lies, specially in the case of cryptos where the price of a lot of tokens or coins is mostly based on speculation (they will be big one day so I am buying now even if all they have to show is a half finished roadmap and a website).
If you decide to stay in the game or enter it means that you think that cryptos (bitcoins but not only) will eventually be widely used and that it will drive the price up, knowing that as long as it is not the case the prices can fluctuate a lot (and that means possibly going very low indeed), and knowing too that blockchain will be a major industry but that it does not necessary mean that bitcoin holders (or holders of other cryptos we know now) are going to be the big winners. In the end, it's a bet based on the way you evaluate the odds and guessing the bottom line of a downtrend in crypto is not that different from trying to come up with the name of the team that will win the World Cup.

Re: Quelles sont les cryptomonnaies prometteuses ?
by

on 29/04/2018, 15:24:33 UTC

Shocked

Poloniex is still working, albeit it did and does have some issues. One of them being these days the multiplication or error 500. I still use it, partly because of the loan and borrow features that is working smoothly and that you do not find in that many exchanges.

Re: What are the best exchanges to trade.
by

on 29/04/2018, 13:31:09 UTC
If you are a total beginner, you probably should go to an exchange that has LTC or even Doge market, allowing you to practice and get the hang of it with very small amounts.
Trading without losing money means skills and before you master them you are going to make a lot of stupid mistakes, whatever the exchange, specially in crypto where weird things can happen. It's better to lose five cents while learning the hard way than 1000 bucks on your first day because you stuffed the order.

Re: What to do if the prices down again?
by
Rosam
on 29/04/2018, 13:24:31 UTC
The most logical thing to do when price is down and you want to grab some profit at some stage is tu buy without totally depleting your roll. Now buying on the down trend does not mean buying anything at a ridiculous price. The fashion this year seems to be, so far, platforms and privacy coins, plenty of both around.

@Shankt thanks for the quick and precise answer. I did open a ticket mentioning just that and received a mail stating that they are 28 days late in answering tickets. So I'll keep you posted in about a month I suppose  Cheesy.
Another exchange would not hurt BPL users, cryptoPia tends to be overloaded and has therefore issues with withdrawals (I had some Ark stuck in limbo for 6 weeks, but at least it said there was a problem), just a thought.

Hi everybody, I had a problem a few days ago with withdrawing from cryptoPia and wanted to know if somebody had a similar problem. The withdraw appears complete when I check the history on cryptoPia, but the funds never showed up in the BPL wallet, and the transaction id is not showing on the block explorer (and the bpl are not credited on cryptoPia anymore). How is that even possible ?
