11 hours left till the voting really starts and I hear that florida already has more votes that have come in through early voting then ever before including regular voting day votes and I think most of the people showing up to vote are voting for trump. You trump holders should be very happy soon.

the guy that is dumping still has 26653 JEWELS left, I saw him put his whole stack, they didn't get sold, and he removed them
that's not a whole lot if you consider ICO price it's like 0.5 BTC worth or so, its funny how many people invest into a project more than they can and they end up in the unfortunate scenario of selling at a loss because they're in dire need of $$... first rule of investing, only invest what you can....

Shouldn't the dev be focused on building the game instead of a new cryptocurrency?
The dev is focused on building the game, his newest project Heroes is suppose to launch near the start of September. The purpose of Jewels is to fund development for his large scale upcoming project called Rebirth. Apex and Heroes simply demonstrate to us or well at least to me that the dev is competent and knows what he's doing. His past shows me that he knows how a community, cater towards the gamers playing his games and monetize it successfully.
I don't see why he would spend development time building a new cryptocurrency when he could leverage an existing one instead.
I agree since the currency doesn't need to do much. They could be leveraging an existing one by simply cloning an existing coin which wouldn't take a lot of time to make small modifications as required or use an asset on a coin like NXT, BTS, XCP etc. I think they did state at the at some point they could do an asset swap if they required the power of another block chain like ETH's smart contracts.

On the note of smart contracts, I personally have looked into Etherum but have not had much chance to experiment with or learn Solidity although it seems like a fairly straight forward language. While at this time I'm not 100% sure about everything gambling related being able to fit under a smart contracts it is an idea we're open to. I'm aware of the fact that we can utilize an Etherum token stored in a smart contract and effectively do an asset swap when we're ready to pursue the smart contract route. I'd like to stress though with the recent incident of the DAO it's clear that this route is something that should not be rushed so we see this more as an end-game idea. Definitely we will need to consult with parties who are more familiar with Solidity and smart contract development to ensure we don't unleash another disaster like that. If you know anyone who's had some decent experience with Solidity and Etherum, I'd love to have a chat with them so please encourage them to email us at jewels@apexconquer.com or better yet reach out to us via Slack.
They were talking about using ETH's smart contracts, but not an "asset" per say like a XCP asset in the BCY sense.

Well after listening to the Beyond Bitcoin recording I'm a bit more interested in this project. I think I'll keep following you guys on there for a bit and choose whether to commit fairly soon. Best of luck with your project

How much did each of those people pay to get there? 
The comparison isn't really fair though. Riot has thousands of employees and billions of dollars in investor money (and profits). Their esports cost them money but they treat it as a way to advertise the game and build longevity to the brand.
That being said their world championships are always impressive. I know in 2014 they sold out a 45,000 seat auditorium for the finals in Korea and in 2015 there was a viewership of 35 million people.
I'm well aware that people always have the mentality of the "next world of warcraft" or the "next league of legends" but such comparisons are neither realistic nor are they particularity helpful. A better example or goal would be Path of Exile. They are a team of developers who got impatient waiting for a 'real' diablo game (they hated diablo 3 and felt it was too focused on casual gamers) so they started their own company and built the game from the ground up. Their game is very much targeted at niche groups (it's VERY unforgiving to new players and requires a lot of math and theory crafting to be successful) but because they have stuck so closely to their initial goals and done such a great job at building their community, their game is worth many millions of dollars now.
The core idea is very much the same idea as project rebirth. We are developers who truly and un-ironically enjoyed conquer online but feel that the company that owns the IP has managed it in a horrible way and that the core game mechanics can be pushed so much further. We've done a lot with apex and will do even more with heroes to push the game mechanics in new and exciting directions but rebirth is very much the same driving concept as Path of Exile had in regards to Diablo. Take what you like about the genre and do it really, really well. Don't try to make a billion dollar game, try to make something that tens or hundreds of thousands of players will desperately want.
Honestly, this is such a great comparison as I've played both diablo 2, 3, and PoE and would say yeah these are realistic goals that this project should have going forward. The fact that you beat me to making this comparison tbh disappointed I didn't think of it first only convinces me further in your ability to understand the key elements of game design and how to caterer towards your audience. After all this last quote here is probably something I'd like to highligh

LoL appealed to the fans of Dota and this way way before Dota 2 was even known to be in the works. I doubt anyone working at Riot or designing LoL at the time knew how big it would be. They only had one goal in mind - make something fun that they knew this group of people would enjoy. Well said man.
Ooh for sure, riot had a similar beginning many years ago and was developed by the original creators of the warcraft mod. I think my distinction though became trying to use the mass market appeal league has as a target for development. It's moved so far from it's origins that it just seems like a bad example to me.
I think after this small exchange of thoughts here I'm even more confident in Chris's ability to lead this project to success. Keep it up you're doing a great job so far!
Personally, I think ETC is pretty stagnant and this drama has blown over for ETH. I expect to see ETH to continue growing in the future and ETC to remain about the same unless they plan on putting together some crazy dev' team. It's be funny to see ETC's dev team release features before ETH then maybe we'll see something happen
It's not difficult at all to manage multiple bitcoin wallets and it prevents you from getting screwed if you're compromised. Ever hear of the phrase don't keep all your eggs in one basket?

Almost 70 Bitcoins now. I think this is when most people will start investing.
This will hopefully be the start of a rush and the team can reach their target.
I never really give a shit but for once I want a legit project to have a good chance while be surrounded by so much shitty projects and clear fucking scams.

I can feel the rush for sure but yeah I have no idea how like so many shit ICO's that have nothing to show, zero credability and that sort of nonsense have no problem raising 100, 200, or even more btc. It's sort of depressing... but it's ok I feel the rush coming! 2 days left!
The great thing is regardless where this goes now we will either have fast development or cheap coins.
The question is what would you prefer? A sell out and raising the cost of the coin but giving faster development or under target giving us all cheap coins with slower development?
I'd prefer that it raises the amount they're asking for or more. I'd really like to see where Rebirth goes in terms of game play dynamic and what it has to offer as I may consider playing it myself if it had cantering towards casual players who don't have much time but enjoy playing these sorts of games. The other thing is sooner Rebirth is in production the sooner we'll see better coverage of it in the media

I'll fix the Beyond Bitcoin logo in the morning, I'll need to photoshop the white out of it to translucent. Centered the rest of text/images and it looks reasonably good again
Looks better now good job. Will Heroes have any new visuals compared to Apex or is it simply added content? By visuals I mean like new things to buy in the Jewels shop compared to what's currently being sold on Apex.
