Re: What are you using ETH for?
by
Rotsor
on 04/06/2018, 16:20:20 UTC
Mostly just holding them. The ETH that I am not holding are the ones that I use to invest into smaller priced coins and ICOs as well. Using ethereum is the best for trading as compared to bitcoin so most of all of my trading activities are carried out using ethereum. I also pay with ethereum for people who are willing to take it for a particular item or commodity

Re: Can Altcoin be independent ?
by

on 03/06/2018, 16:13:52 UTC
Altcoins can one day end up being independent from bitcoin but that might be a long while from now. There is no way to tell when that with happen but as long as all of the altcoins still have their trading pairs with bitcoin then the prices of bitcoin will always affect the prices of all of the altcoins in the market. Maybe it will always be so, maybe not, no one knows for sure

Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do???
by

You should invest some of that bitcoin into some good ico or some really cheap coin now. You can decide to just hold the coin and leave it sitting idly by waiting for the next bull but you should know that you stand to make more money from it if you invest it into some really good altcoin which end up doing good. Put your money to work for you, that is how you make more money

Re: Does the Price of bitcoin inversely proportional to the price of altcoins?
by
Rotsor
on 01/06/2018, 10:22:36 UTC
The price of all of the altcoins closely follow the price of bitcoin that is why you see that when the price of bitcoin goes up, the price of all of the altcoins go up, and when the price of bitcoin goes down, then the price of the altcoins go down. This is mainly due to the fact that there are trading pairs of all of the altcoins with bitcoin so it affects their prices a lot

Re: Selecting Bounties - A pocket guide!

Look at the bounty manager that is managing the bounty program, make sure that they have a good rank on their profile, also if they have a negative trust on their account that they are managing the project with. You can also try to look at the bounties that the bounty manager has managed before, if they went successfully then you can be sure that it will also go well.

Re: Is Ethereum-Blockchain can be hacked?
by

on 30/05/2018, 20:39:39 UTC
There is nothing online that cannot be hacked, just because it has not been hacked yet does not mean that it is impossible to hack. There are a lot of projects in the past that the creators marketed as unhackable, what happen is that a lot of them got hacked. It just takes a really well organized group of hackers with enough funds to focus their energy on hacking it

Re: Over $12B wiped out from cryptocurrency market in two hours.
by
Rotsor
on 29/05/2018, 21:18:11 UTC
This is the problem that we are dealing with right now, so much money is leaving the crypto market each day which is making the prices of the coins to fall down. Even though I know that the price would go back up, things like this just means that it would take much longer than normal for the prices to recover again. People need to stop selling so much coins, it is affecting the prices.

Re: Need advice for bitcoin wallet..

Many people will suggest to you to try to use 3rd party websites but the problem is you don't control your own private keys and that's very important otherwise the Bitcoin can be stolen from you very easily. Now, that isn't to say that some companies are quite legit these days such as Coinbase, however, generally speaking it's a good idea to have your own paper wallet which you can keep safe yourself.

Re: Google is now banning crypto minning
by

Which is why you should just mine straight from your own hardware. I understand why google and other social media sites are putting these bans in place, they are way too many scams being carried out right now using cryptocurrencies. Since cryptos are mostly anonymous, it makes it the perfect tool for the scammers and these companies are just trying to do their best to curb the menace of scammers.

Re: where is the tech?
by

The projects have their own tech which they use for the improvement of the coins but after that, the coins is you and I who use the coin. The coin is all of our systems, it is all of the systems that the miners put in so much money into buying in order  to mine it. That is where the tech is, which is what makes cryptos so great, the tech is everywhere.

Re: How can we protect ourselves from a crypto crash?
by
Rotsor
on 27/05/2018, 17:05:30 UTC
You can protect yourself from a crash by not buying at the height of a bull market. Also during a recovery, you should never buy when the prices are going up. When you buy at the height of a bull market, the prices are sure to go down and with that crash, the value of your coins will fall drastically. These are just preventive, sometimes, there really is no way to avoid it.

Re: Reasons of Crypto Current Price fall
by

Dumping. The whales are manipulating the prices to keep it down so they can buy as much as possible. It is what is wrong with the crypto market, There is way too much manipulation. This is why we should all support putting regulations on the market, even on the trading too. This can lead to price hikes or price dips at different times depending on if they want to  buy or sell coins.

Re: Scam coins everywhere.
by

The amount of scam coins in the market is one of the things that is negatively affecting the prices and the market. There are just way too many coins and most of them are useless as they do not have any useful application of the coin besides trading. There should be a regulation on the creation of new coins, and they should always pass a criteria before they can make new coins, this is getting too much

No and the only reason why I don't get scammed is because I stopped putting my money into ICOs as way too many of the icos we have now are scams and when I see an ico that I am interestd in, I just look up the bounty and signature campaign and participate in them and get the coins as rewards without having to buy it with my own money and that way I mitigate all the risks.

Re: Favorite Exchanges?

OKex and binance are the top picks of exchanges when it comes to convenience and finding the tokens and altcoins that I want on them. Their prices are always good and their trading fees are very reasonable. Binance specifically has the highest number of listed coins on their platform which is good if you are looking for specific coins and do not wish to buy them across different exchanges

Re: BTC did not go up from Consensus in the past
by

People expecting bitcoin to go up from consensus were doing so out of blind hope that maybe something like that will help boost the price of bitcoin when in fact bitcoin does not need any event for the price to go up. the price of bitcoin goes up with demand and that is it. If anything, the price of bitcoin went down after the consensus so it negatively affected the price of bitcoin

Any new project in the market should be suspicious to you because that is how you end up protecting yourself from coins that are not good. I did not participate in the bountyhive bounty but from what I have seen, it does look good enough although they need to give more insight into their project and what they are working on regarding the coin and also their roadmap for the coin.

by

They are relatively safe. Relatively mean that you can trade on exchanges and make money from your trading and as long as you do not leave your coins in the exchanges when you are done then you are safe. Using exchanges as a means of storage for your coins is not advisable and you are more likely to lose your coins on exchanges than in wallets which you own the private keys to.

You could join your account to a signature campaign like mine. Do you see under my post how my account has links to a website? That's an upcoming ICO company who's paying me in their tokens to advertise their ICO. We don't make that much but it's enough to buy some cool stuff when you get paid. That's what I would do if I were you!!!!!!!!

Wil Beast Bitcoin, huh? People think adding Bitcoin the the name of their token/coin is going to boost it to the moon. You know what... can't blame them! Most people don't even know anything about cryptocurrency and they hear Bitcoin and want to invest so that makes a lot of sense doing that.
