Re: Error when mining XMR with GPU

Xmrig miner isn't like every other miners, CPU has its own mining software and GPU has its own mining software you can't use the CPU software to mine with GPU, you have to download two different miners if you plan to use Xmrig, one for GPU and one for CPU

I've never use mew wallet before but if it's an online wallet stay away because they can easily get hack it better to use mobile wallet that gives users their private keys or recovery seeds do not use any online wallet that operate with username and passwords also if you can afford the money it is better to buy hardware wallet there are hundred percent safe unless you reveal your private key for the hardware wallet

since 2018 have kept huge amount of ETH in my trust wallet and nothing happened to my assets so mobile wallet is a good choice too if you can keep your private keys very safe

Re: RX 580 Rig in Trouble

Editing Page File resolved my issue and now I can mine Cheesy
The second big issue I am getting is AMD Drivers, they keep crashing every 5-10 minutes causing blue screen again and again.
Please also help me with this!
Thank you all!
AMD RX 580 and 590 can work side-by-side with no issue make sure you install the latest AMD driver and also make sure that both cards have normal temperature because if one is not well cooled the temp can be the reason why it's crashing

You should be fine mate I am using a power supply with mine RTX 3070 over here and the power supply has just one connector with 6-pin and 8-pin plug maybe I should try to share a image of what I'm talking about maybe it's related to what you are telling us right now

Is that it? If YES it works fine

Since you already have some gpu for mining why can't you wait to buy gpu cheaper? I'm sure once bears attack the market crypto mining will be less Profitable and all GPUs will start dropping in value, keep mining with what you have for now and wait

It's certain that bloodbath is coming but don't expect the same bloodbath of 2018, bitcoin won't go down very much like in the past cos all eye are on this crypto currency right now also we can't tell when the bloodbath will happen or can we? So let's enjoy this moment while it lasts

Sorry for all the time wasted on those projects, the truth is you've wasted your time and effort on scam projects only, there are many rewarding projects last year and before, I'm surprised you keep missing them, you have to judge projects base on what they are trying to offer

Re: PC board requirements for gpu
by

I have a few questions in my mind, I would like to know the answers from miners.

Which are the PC board's requirements and supply unit needed for these GPU's?
1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
2. AMD Radeon VII
3. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti [is this board still recommended for eth mining?]

- If you happen to know any link where I can find all such details regarding eth mining [keeping in mind as beginners] please do share here.

Wow a legendary member who know nothing about crypto mining, I have to confess this is the first time I'm seeing such, welcome to the game brother, you don't need high CPU, infact go with the cheapest and also RAM stick don't have to be big too, 4gb ram is enough I believe, focus more on what GPU you want to get and also power supply

Forget the Radeon VII, it's a bad card, the biggest AMD failure of all time, error 43 code will eventually sneek unto the card and that's the end, many users had same experience so don't buy, I repeat don't buy, go for RTX cards and if you like AMD go for the RX5700, RX6800 etc

Are you saying there is no stock of 1000watt power supply on any store? That's not possible, there is no scarcity on power supplies like graphic cards lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Go on amazon or ebay I'm sure these power supply are surplus on the websites

by
Rowenta
on 12/02/2021, 11:52:13 UTC
You can mine Doge is you feel like but you will be so spending some large amount of to buy the right asic miner to start mining Doge, the easiest way to avoid the high cost is using graphic cards instead, graphic cards are more affordable and also you can mine Ethereum and change the Ethereum back to her

It's definitely the time to quit nicehash, I already start using sparkpool and I can see the difference, nicehash is a waste of time and electricity, I was running up to 62 MH on nicehash and I always get paid for 56MH, I knew I'm been ripped off but just because I want to get paid in btc......

by

on 11/02/2021, 18:32:04 UTC
I will go with the gtx1660 super instead because of long life span, trusting two or more things is better than trusting one thing, if the RTX3090 fails it's overs, if one gtx1660 super fails you still have three left, more hope I believe

Re: These old cards still useful?
by
Rowenta
on 11/02/2021, 17:17:06 UTC
Gtx970 is still good for 1080p gaming  Shocked how come you don't see buyers for the cards? What website are you using? To sell the cards faster you should go on ebay and make sure the price are fair enough, don't use high price or else you won't see buyers, the cards aren't good for mining so selling may be slower

yeah they sell on ebay.

122.50 still bidding

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-970-Founders-Edition-4GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3-0-Graphics-Card/294003535887?

80.70 and still bidding

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-MATRIX-HD-7970-3GB-Graphics-Card-MATRIX-HD7970-3GD5/233888045399?
Now many 470 4GB video cards are selling for $ 100. Now it is better to buy a used 5600xt for 550 dollars and get more profit and and less power consumption than from 5x474.
Some are still getting 28MH per second out of their RX470 4gb memory using lolminer, I have a friend who still use 12x RX570 4gb and it's still hashing very well, can a RX5600XT do 28MH in 12 places? I don't think so
It's becoming a pain in the ass to mine on a rx580 4gb memory gpu right now, I'd rather go for RX5600XT than the outdated cards, just imagine you wake up one day and the rx580 4gb and rx480 4gb stop working, the lolminer will only keep them alive for short period of time only

This is very bad for them🤣 Now I think no one will use this app. maybe Elon used this wallet and didnt like what he experienced in the app🤣
Of course, only a newbie will want to use free wallet, the app sucks and the teams too are untrusty, they know what they are doing that's why they don't want to give people their private keys, I've lost some Dogecoin to this team and they failed to help me out, not your keys not your coins

I will keep ignoring any bounty project that ask for KYC verifications for one main reason and that's the security of my identity, once the bounty campaign is over are they going to throw all the identification cards information away ? How sure that they won't be use for other things?

I use sparkpool now, it seems okay to me for now. Even there profitability it varies every day, but without too many falls.
is there someone with experience on Hiveon pool? I use hive os, but I accidentally set everything on sparkpool, I'm still thinking about moving to hiveon.
There is not much difference between spark pool and hiveon pool, sometimes spark pool will even be more profit that hiveon and sometimes hiveon will top over, I don't see any reason to keep jumping from one mining pool to another mining pool

Keep mining you will eventually get paid once the maintenance mode is over, this isn't the first time that I have mine with nicehash and they have maintenance mode in work, they always pay so relax and keep your rigs working for you

You don't have to worry, it's already on their website that they are in maintenance mode so some part of the website might not be functioning, I can still see my hashrate generating over here though so you can keep mining
