So I was looking around and stumbled across a application called sweatcoin. I like the idea that you can earn a reward for doing something as simple as walking that keeps a record on your mobile phone . While you get one coin per 1000 steps but the problem is with these coins have no monetary value you can use the coins to get rewards, I think that we could improve this idea. We could find a way to make a coin that had monetary value it would not only work to help people to walk and help with the wellness while rewarding them with money at the same time.

We all know that people would work harder for money so we could not only help people with the wellness but also with their money standings as well.
Nice concept!

You would able to earn coins at the same time you would able to earn token but talking about value it would just depend if people would be interested on such idea. 1000 steps wont really be that hard for 1 coin if its valuable or expensive on rate then it can somehow get investors or testers but if none then it would just be neglected just like other projects in the market.

That's my point the 1000 threshold would be easy to reach which in turn I'm hoping would bring in potential tester/users. The only issue right now is finding someone willing to invest in the idea to help get the ball rolling

Well, the idea and possibility is infinite, but the thing is... how can make it in the real world by not having some funds? Free to dream, but need to work on it first!

This is the truth, outside of finding someone to help invest in this idea I'm right now only in the dream phase but I still wanted to get it out there and see if people would even be interested in something like this.

Well, for the steps to be recorded you need mobile app. That shows advertising the advertising space can cost coins.
If the idea gets traction you may build up a community and a forum about being healthy, meaning bigger user base and more space for advertising - and again, advertising space costs coins.
The idea can be improved, but this can be a start, maybe.

I agree this is just a start but something I hope to build into something amazing one day, while I will say I hadn't thought of selling advertising space. As for selling the space for coins I'm not sure I could do that in the beginning as I would need to money that source could bring to help pay back the people I would need to help me get this idea off the ground but thanks for pointing some things out to me.

The project is very healthy. I really like this kind of project. Even if such a coin is worthless, I am willing to try it! Your thoughts are also very good, I agree with your thoughts!

Thank you for your support and input

So I have a idea for a potential coin and application but I'm green behind ears in this type of situation and have no idea where to even start. So any help people might be willing to give me will be great fully appreciated because I do feel like this could be a great idea with the right people to help get it off the ground.

What I want to do is bring a new coin and application to the world that would reward those that download the application by tracking their work toward being healthy. In perticular I'd like to bring an app that tracks people's steps at first and maybe find a way to add more down the road. While tracking these actions we could give the users a coin for reaching certain thresholds per day. It would give people incentive to become more active I think. I would love to get some feedback to see if this is even possible and any other advice that you might want to give me

Just pay them in bitcoin!

If you're planning an ICO with your own coin and so on and so forth, this belongs to alternate cryptocurrencies and not Bitcoin > Project development.

Probably a good way to make some money on the backs of those who will be fomoing hard, but honestly I hope people stop making shitcoins with the thinnest veil of a shadow of an inkling of an excuse. (To get paid).

I would if I could I'm just a 25 year old male that doesn't have that kind of money to be paying a large amount of people in Bitcoin that's why I'm thinking of trying to make something new. Something that it will be easy at first to payout with and in large quanities. I don't want it to be a shit coin though is the point I understandy that there are too many of those flooding the market already so that's not my sole intent for the project. Rather I would want it to become something people might actually hold and put value into.

Anyone earned even in the ballpark of 100 a day?

Are you gaming the system here, or just creating a real network of people?

Is everyone following each other?

What about the one guys bounty idea?

Can some of you post how this idea is going? Good? Bad?

Thanks!!!
I think all, who are following this post, must definitely want to know the answers of these valid questions.

Is there anyone who can answer them. Waiting for someone's response.

I am following everyone on here personally myself but I can't answer for the group, as for the idea I think it's half and half. It's not how many followers you have but the quality of your post that determines how much you can earn. It's like all other systems there are those that have influence and it is those that your are trying to impress with your post so you can earn more!

Re: Outside CEO of Paypal claims that Bitcoin is a SCAM. Your views?

I read his Forbes article and all this man is doing is trying to say the whole Bitcoin community is a bunch of scam artist trying to suck money out of those less informed about it. In time I believe that we will see him either change his tune on Bitcoin or it will come out that he has invested in Bitcoin, most of these attacks on Bitcoin are used to drive the price down so people can get into the game at a lower price point and then when the money starts rolling in say see I told you this was a great investment. So i would take anything he says with a grain of salt and regard it as someone that really has no clue about what they are talking about.

Re: Real life experience paying with bitcoin

I think BTC just good as an investment. Do you ever read or hear about 10K BTC for pizza? And that's what I mean. The price are not stable, but when the price goes up, you'll be disappointed that Bitcoin has spent. I think BTC are more like Gold, you can use it as payment system but you will disappointed when you spend it.

I completely agree with this statement, while Bitcoin was intended as a new form of payment why would you use it as such? I mean yes you are paying a  set price at the time of purchase but when Bitcoin goes up or down then what you actually paid can change dramatically. Not that I would complain if it meant I actually was paying less for a good or service but realistically we might actually be paying ten times what it would have been in fiat in the near future and then I would personally be kicking myself for that fact alone honestly. However if you are a person that totally believes in using Bitcoin as a payment system, maybe you should look into seeing if your state (if your American) allows the shift card from coinbase. It works like a Visa card but takes the money out of your cryptocurrencies account.

Re: Based on statistics
by

on 25/04/2018, 22:11:14 UTC
Based on statistics and Analysis I recently found out that 2,500+ ether users were hacked just within the range of 19th to 25th April, those it mean that ether wallet are no longer secured again or what is going on.. something have to be done to stop the rate of hacking.

I think ether developers have to be in questions.

What are your opinions?

To have a post that  says  it is based off statistics and then not show where you found the statistics is a little odd to me. I would  prefer to see  the evidence, and then be able to judge whether it is valid or not before I were to make an assumption about who's at fault or who will need to question about these hacking  incidents. To just spout off numbers and expect us to just take them at full value without evidence is quite odd I think as well so if you can provide the links to where you found these numbers then we can talk about who needs to be questioning who is at fault for these hacks.

Before we blame anyone shouldn't we look at how  the coins were stored. I'd be more than willing to bet that it would fall more on the creators of the wallets or the users of the wallets they did not secure the coins rather than the ether.

Bitcoin pump and Dump?
by
Rtd1604
on 25/04/2018, 20:05:21 UTC
Ok guys so I came across an interesting article today calling Bitcoin nothing but a scam and the worlds largest pump and dump scam.

"The losers are ill-informed buyers caught up in the spiral of greed. The result is a massive transfer of wealth from ordinary families to internet promoters."- Bill Harris, my question to everyone on here is do you agree with Mr.Harris statement or is this just another nay sayer beating on a drum? I'd like to think that we are not those type of people that are looking to take advantage of those that are less informend and rather we are teaching them and helping them grow in the vast world of cryptocurrencies.

I'm going to leave a link to the article as well if you want to read it, it's pretty interesting to read everything that he claims the cryptocurrency world is all about. Another tid bit all Bitcoin is good for apperantly is criminal activity who knew!

How can I get free bitcoins?

I feel like I could answer this one mostly due to the fact it's the way I'm getting my share of Bitcoin.

There are several ways one could get free Bitcoin one of these ways are through websites called faucets, these websites pay people a small fraction of Bitcoin based on their completion of simple task as filling out  surveys, Recaptecha and solve captcha's to claim these small portions of any cryptocurrency that they might be interested in.

While another way to earn free Bitcoins would also be to participate in a airdrop for less known cryptocurrencies and then exchange those coins for Bitcoin as well.

I came across an interesting Forbes article today about this very thing. “Bitcoin is trading upwards for a number of reasons,” says Fran Strajnar, CEO of Brave New Coin, a data and research company focused on the blockchain and cryptographic assets market.

It's mostly due to new money coming into cryptocurrenices, of course the community has been saying that once new money comes into the picture Crptos will begin to soar and I think that this is that time we have all been waiting for. If this new money is coming from sources similar to Rockerfellers as Strajnar is saying I think we are in for a wild ride for the foreseeable future. He also says that new tech is a part of this upswing as well while I'm not as familiar with all of the new updates as some members here, I think that he might be right.

I've included a link to the article as well.

Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way?
by
Rtd1604
on 24/04/2018, 05:19:02 UTC
The method I mostly use is just holding, I use faucets though so I don't have a ton of any certain coin yet. I just find it nice to wake up in the morning and see the prices of what I do have going up or down each day knowning that it's really free money to me. Plus by holding and using faucets I can continually add to my crypto totals a little at a time while being in it for the the long run.

To a degree I agree that it isn't easy starting out investing in any Cryptocurrency but it should be the communities responsibility to look out and help each other because for the most part we are in this together.  As for those that are starting out I don't think it would be a bad thing to come here and read the post to learn but also do their own research to find out what system would work for their goals in cryptos. You can't come into this type of investment expecting to put some money down and automatically become a millionaire, sadly it doesn't just happen like that it takes work and often times just some luck going your way.

Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future
by
Rtd1604
on 24/04/2018, 04:56:24 UTC
Bitcoin in the future will have changed drastically I think, not in the sense of its value but how we look at bitcoin itself. We will have determined if it is truly a new form of currency or a solid investment option, it will be through this decision that we can truly place a value on Bitcoin I think honestly. If we see it as a currency then yes I believe it will be replaced by one of the alt coins because they are  easier to use for payments then Bitcoin has been at least in my own personal experimce. However if we see it as an investment then you have those that are loyal to Bitcoin and will hold their coins to drive demand up and help their investments become more valuable.
