Some people think Rothchild holds a majority of the coins.  This would not be good for us if true.

I'm not selling until we reach a top closer to the ATH.  Once all my buys are green I might sell most and wait to re-buy on the ensuing tank before riding another wave up.  Easier said than done but I'm holding until profit no questions asked.  Buying a little each week.

No ATH will hit this year, we are already half way through and BTC has lost 50% of it's value.
It would be impossible for it to break resistance and get back to 20K again..Unless there is some serious manipulation which looks to be going on now, only to the downside.

Maybe until the next high peak and I'll sell, hold cash and re-buy when it goes down.

one thing is for sure, you can not use Technical Analysis, Moving Average,... to predict bitcoin. bitcoin will move on its own accord. your TA may sometimes work but most of the times it won't. right now this is all unexpected, the FUD and the dumpings are crashing the price and it will continue to do so until the two opposite forces (the other is the buy support) cancel each other and price reverses back up until next FUD.

If anything TA helps you pick spots to buy..as opposed to buying each time the price drops a few hundred bucks.
Don't be so quick to cast away TA as it certainly plays a part in helping create buying targets on a drop like this.

With all the traders gravitating to BTC, it is hard to determine what the new normal is going to be.  Some things causing the price to go down are established traders speaking down on the coin, countries discussing regulation or regional bans, and then just people selling off out of fear or in response to the news.

You can google the latest technical analysis on BTC to see what price levels others are pointing out as areas of support where the price could bounce.
In my opinion, making buys around the 7k range and then again in the 6400-6700 range would put you in good shape with some "cheap" holdings that could grow significantly as soon as the technicals turn bullish again for crypto.

Whatever you do don't go all in at a particular price, keep entering in smaller segments at the various support levels until this thing turns, then it's just sit back and watch what happens..and make money.  Good luck, be patient and nimle.  There are too many companies getting into this space for btc to go to zero.

I think what we are learning is that this is never going to go straight up.  You either swing trade some or all of your funds with the run-ups and buy back on the dip, or just keep making wise buys at various support levels to amass a cheap position.  I'm mostly sticking to the latter.

Where's the bottom of this drop
by
Rubesmatic
on 23/05/2018, 13:50:35 UTC
Anyone calling the bottom?  I can see this hitting 6500-7000 before reversing back to 9-10k, at this point I'm not sure if selling and re-buying on the following dip is best or if this will rally well past 10k.  getting antsy but being patient and adding on where I can.

I like to google the tech analysis of BTC.  Some sites give a great analysis of where the price is heading if various levels of support/resistance give away.  It is good to weigh your gut instincts against to get more information on the situation at hand.  They can help determine whether BTC is going to hit new lows/highs or if we are range bound.

It is still too early to declare the bottom.  MA indicators are still sloping down and a daily close below the $7800 area could trigger a sell off to $7000.
Really this thing needs to close above the $8500 on the daily if we want to break out of this bearish stronghold...average down and stay nimble folks

It really is based on the individual's priorities.  If someone didn't get a great education, has a low paying job, starts a family, then yes bitcoin will be hard to get into.  But if someone is concerned about their financial future, makes an effort to invest some of what they have and to grow a position...well then bitcoin can be for anybody.

These look like some great prices as many believe BTC is nearing a bottom.

Loading up on Wanchain, ICX, and has anyone looked into POA Network?  These are .50 cents with a cutting edge technology, solid team, and just got onto some larger exchanges.  Seems like a 10-bagger+ in the making.

Semi-new to it too and I've since learned enough to figure out how to trade bitcoin for alt coins.  You can read about it and learn about the tech but to trade you just need to know a few things.

1) When to buy it.  Earlier in the year BTC was flying up and no one know where it would hit resistance so those of us who were impatient, bought and watched it go down over $10,000.  It looks to have found support around $7800 and the next resistence hurdle appears to be around $11,500.  If it clears $11,500 it could go back to the all time high or higher.

2) How to buy it.  I use coinbase and it's pretty easy once you click around.  The mobile app is great.

3) For someone that doesn't have bankroll to buy full bitcoins, the crazy money is being made in alt coins or as some people call them, third gen coins.
These will loosley track btc and are very cheap as you've probably heard.  Using Binance and tying it to your Coinbase account is the best for buying these.
Online research through these boards and reddit can help you find the popular or most reputable coins.  Searching the coin on Wallet Investor will also show you some projections to help determine if the investment is a good one or poor.

Good luck!

Ofcourse!  Not about to run and sell.  There's so many alts and people privy to certain ones..hoping a fellow investor that is looking at the same things as myself manages to see this and chimes in.  I still see those three mentioned a few times on each thread asking "What Alts Should I buy".

A convincing BTC bounce will drag these up from the $2 range to around $10 and ofcourse the wild projections say $30-40+ over 5 years...if these get to $10 that would be a sweet victory.  Holding and trying to max out the opportunity just like everyone else.

Yeah, they seem to hold their value but not really part of any headlines.  If one of them can catch, maybe 2 or all three can.
Atleast I got them after the post ICO dip..knock on wood but worst case it looks like I can exit with a few bucks if I ever wanted to abandon the positon.

I'm sure some people that have dug deep into the alt world would know more and I'm certainly new to alts.  Thanks for post!
