Re: Is there manipulation of sharks ?
by

on 14/09/2018, 16:25:41 UTC
There's a reason why they are called sharks/whales as they are the biggest creatures in the sea. When they move, everything gets out of the way. So manipulating the market to go with their flow is nothing new.

Yeah they bought in when the market was going high or bullish. Got excited and bought in at the high point. Same old story for others who planned on going in while the iron is hot. Their timing could have been wrong since in trading, you buy at the lows, not when it's starting ramping up.

Re: Bitcoin after several years?
by
RudeeTam
on 14/09/2018, 07:13:50 UTC
Bitcoin will be scarce obviously so it will have a deflation of some sort to accomodate the number of people who wants to use it. All transactions will be in satoshis since bitcoin price will be too high.

Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money
by

on 13/09/2018, 09:03:28 UTC
All things should be regulated as if left alone, they can get out of control. It is inevitable. Regulations are a necessity in life as long as they are not perverted to benefit only a few.

Re: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin
by

Even with those good findings, we are still miles away from bitcoin gaining it's intended purpose for mass adoption. We have not even reached the middle yet. Last year, bitcoin and cryptocurrency was really heard and peaked. This year, research and development of blockchain all over. Once it is adopted into most companies, only then can bitcoin can be considered as a currency.

Re: Can Artificial intelligence and blockchain be used together?
by

Here's how I see it. The application of blockchain to AI would be so that the coding is decentralized across multiple servers and the AI won't be tied down to just one brain per se. If one server shuts down, the AI would still be functional since it's on the cloud. Kind of terrifying actually.

Re: Why do some people in crypto still wish the downfall of Bitcoin?
by
RudeeTam

Although FUDs are a sure fire way to bring down bitcoin or manipulate the price, what's happening to it is a natural thing. It's all economics. Even if we, and I mean everyone, spread good things about bitcoin 24/7, at some point it will go down and vice versa since people will be people.

Re: What will actually happen if bitcoin price continue to drop?
by

Everyone who has anything to do with bitcoin will be affected of course. Miners cannot continue to pay effectively for their electricity bills. Bitcoin investors will lose money. Bitcoin supporters will be shamed. But the thing is, those who take advantage will come out of the woods and buy those low price coins.

Re: BANKS offers LOANS.

I find it problematic in some ways since first, will it be taken as loan in bitcoins or the equivalent price in fiat? With the volatility of bitcoin's price, it would be too risky to take them in fiat value.

Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal?

There may be countries that has not legalized bitcoin but most certainly not illegal to use it. If a country would deem bitcoin illegal, they would have banned access to exchangers and such from their country.

by

If ever it did happen, which is improbable by the way, bitcoin will still surpass them at some point since ETH is not built for payments outside of its system and Monero is just creepy with all the extreme secrecy and anonymity.

Re: Is this a new form of manipulation?
by

The only way for bitcoin to go back to green would be news of it being adopted or plans even. But lately, we just get bashed left and right due to EFT denial. Which does not constitute bitcoin in the least. But bad news is bad news.

Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world?
by

Ah the wonders of having a unified currency all across the globe. No more exchange rates that is a pain when travelling to other countries. But it's a very long wait still since fiat is still king when it comes to accessibility. Ease of use trumps anything else.

I believe their systems are intact and well secure enough. I think the problem is likely it's an inside job. I'm not pointing fingers but it would take a lot of cloak and dagger to get inside their systems them knowing that they are handling millions of dollars worth of coins.

Re: [Discussion] Why Cryptocurrencies and blockchain needs to go mainstream ASAP
by

on 06/09/2018, 07:36:28 UTC
The adoption for blockchain is well underway as many companies are already researching on its potential to be used in their systems. Decentralization is the future for data trust. But cryptocurrency may have a long way still as this is geared towards financial and very many people are keen on this.

Re: Central Bank of Crypto-Currency
by

I really don't get what the need for banks are in cryptocurrency. If it is about keeping our coins safe, then we have cold storage wallets for that. Even hot wallets are relatively safe if you know how to protect it. I think there are better things to focus on than crypto banks as this can backfire on crypto if it fails.

Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should
by

on 02/09/2018, 08:35:58 UTC
Taxes are inevitable and a constant in our lives. There is nothing wrong with paying taxes. As long as they are sound and you can see results of your taxes in your country. The bad thing is corruption. Which is done by those in power. And those who evade taxes even though they can pay. The root of all evil is human greed. Therefor we are the problem and not taxes.

Re: Evolution of Money

All I read are eventualities in our economic history. Humans thrive on innovations to make our life even better than before. We always move forward else we halt with the past. Now cryptocurrency is still in its early stages and I believe that it is another eventuality that we cannot stop but should learn to embrace.

Re: Crypto is dangerous....

Your title may be misleading a bit but crypto can take your mind off of things especially when you know that you may have good gains off of it. Especially when it is your first time experiencing these things, it is very addictive! But yes, studying is far more important here.
