Re: Impact of the pending ETF in September?
by
Rugtilf
on 31/08/2018, 15:04:24 UTC
it seems that many people believe that next month's ETF will get positive results, and that makes the price of bitcoin rise again. if ETFs are truly accepted, this will be the end of the bear market.

If we have the positive results, the price will rise dramatically.

The price of Ethereum has basically stabilized at more than $500 recently. It is not easy to say whether there is any further rebound.

I think it is consolidating. It is good for the future price rise.

"A resolution has yet to be found for yesterday's Parity hack which saw up to $150 million frozen across the ethereum platform.
However, speaking to CoinDesk, Martin Holst Swende, head of security for the Ethereum Foundation, confirmed that a hard fork of the ethereum blockchain will be required to free up the funds."

Seen at: https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-security-lead-hard-fork-required-to-release-frozen-parity-funds/

But will there be a hard fork?

Well, 1080Ti's are good at mining shitcoins, aren't they.

As a matter of fact, they are ONLY good for mining shitcoins nowadays.

wow, another clueless kid... This place is infested...

You should sell your card and buy an AMD dont you think ?

And what were you thinking without you bought it/them ? Oh right, thinking...
Lol, somebody's butthurt!
I've been mining since 2013, kid. You need to distinguish sarcasm from statements of fact. That's also part of your education! :-D

mining since 2013 ? stop lying please, you must be milionaire if true..

You will not be a millionaire if you mine and sell at the same time. You have to hold to be rich.

Still have time but looks like we're heading toward the mid 800s now.

look it rising again a bit, the market it's fiding its position, there will not be a dump now what i believe is that you need a price correction after this good rally, i take this opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin with trading, see you at the next pump

If the price keeps above $920, that is a good double of the 2015 price.

In my opinion, bitcoin is the best investment at this time. The other options are either too risky or scams. Do your own research and be careful before investing.

The ZCash could be the best invesetment in the long term. But the price now is too high to be investable.

is it possible to ethereum solo mining with SGMiner-GM  ?  and how ? for example geth runing on 192.168.1.10

I HAVEN'T TRIED IT--

If you search CryptoMining-Blog.com, you will find a guide to solo-mining Ethereum.  In it, there are technical details on how to launch Geth for solo-mining.  Simply point Sgminier-gm at your address, and try it.

I'd go into more detail, but unless you have a small farm of GPUs, it is near pointless to solo-mine Ethereum now.  More than a year ago, I mined a couple blocks of ETH with Ethminer when there were no open pools.  As soon as pools opened, hitting a block became very unlikely.  For the articles on Ethereum mining, look at August-September 2015.       --scryptr

Solo minning of the Etheruem is not very realistic now. The difficulty is rising fast, you can only do that if you big hash.

My plan is keep earning and collecting bitcoins everyday and when i have many bitcoins, i will try open a business about bitcoin using all my bitcoins that i collected.

That is a good plan. The bitcoin is still in the early stage of the development curve. It will reward patient people.

I know somebody bought quite a few bitcoin about 4 years ago. The price has risen more than 20 times since then.

Can anyone tell me if this miner does stale share submits?  It didn't look like it does, and maybe someone can save me the trouble of digging through the source code.

It does submit the stale shares. I saw in the command window, it says stale share detected, submitting.

Re: Honestly, which is better? Monero or Dash?

I have a question and I wish none of you will hate me for asking this because of the history of John Connor with Monero. But I am curious and I hope I get an answer even from the developers of Monero.

Can anyone explain what vcash's chain blender is in layman's terms? How is it different from ring signatures and what are the pros and cons of this compared to ring signatures. I was looking for information about it but I could not find anything.

Oh you shouldn't mention VCASH here.
The Monero gang wants it dead as they want to kill everything else, except their broken by design manipulated shitcoin.
You could talk to John Connor directly on their Slack, he's a very friendly guy.
https://vcash.slack.com

The ZCash will be release later October. It is based on the bitcoin but with anonymity features. Will Monero also want to kill it?

Till today I had invested only 0.14btc in mining but this doesn't mean that i am week btc dealer. I had planned to setup btc mining system with budget if 30k so this will be the biggest investment in btc world.

Except own mining system mining in 3rd party machine is fully gambling, they can ran anytime with your invested bitcoin. So be safe from being scammed

It is better not to use the clouding mining. If your electricity price is cheap, you can mine yourself. It is safer.

The bitcoin price will rise 50 to 200% per year in the next few years. So $5000 could be reached in 3 to 10 years.

Don't forget that the gold price will also rise in the meantime. Not as strong as bitcoins of course.

That is right. I have some gold. But I have more bitcoins. I hold most of the bitcoins I bought and use some.

$5k value its impossible for this year but maybe in the future it will happen i feel its nearly happen. if bitcoin will be popular for most countries and we are also the same as brazil that has 150 stores locally are accepting bitcoin it will affect the price of bitcoin..

I think $5000 is possible in 2 to 3 years after a good adoption of the bitcoin. I use bitcoin to buy things already.

With the price steadily on the upswing, I plan to hold, then I will buy when there are dips so my average cost would not be too big. I'll try to be patient with my strategy and not be tempted to sell right away. I'll also set targets for selling and buying price, sort of keeping my emotions intact.

That was post in April. The price is $690 now  and it is still rising fast. I will also hold my coins very tight.

I have no big plans I am just holding until a price comes that I like and then I am going to sell them all and stop with Bitcion. I do not want to rely on Bitcoin anymroe to gain money.

If there is still hope for the bitcoin price to go higher, I will keep all my bitcoin and hold for the long term.

If the bitcoin price goes to $5000 soon, say in a year, that is a big bubble. I will sell all my bitcoins.
