What I don't understand is why people still rent from here for so expensive price and so many "tickets", when you can get stable, reliable hashrate for half a price at NH and never need to create a ticket for any kind of refunds... Cheesy

Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC!

Nicehash, where do you suggest to get the most recent and accurate information on what we should use as our password. Do you recommend using your main page for SHA-256? Currently it indicates 0.0119 and wondered if using that number or going up a bit higher to make it worth it? I wouldn't want my rigs switching too many times I guess. May as well want to make it worth it. I also some times do not have the access to change my password field, limited access to my miners. So that in itself could be a bust for me to use this type of proxy hashing. What do you think?

We have "percentage p=" on todo list, where you would be able to only specify % above or below current profitability of ideal 100% luck bitcoin mining. But even this would not solve the possible price tag, where your miners may constantly switch on/off. It is impossible to say what price to set that your miners would never fall into this mode.

It is good practice to use PPS backup pool for switching.

Another option is; you may simply ignore p=. NiceHash paid 4% above ideal 100% luck bitcoin mining in past 30 days and with 2% fee this means 2% above ideal 100% luck bitcoin mining. There are no other pools that can guarantee you this with extremely regular payments. Not to mention extreme spikes that can happen (paycoin for example). Down spikes are not often or very big - we have a lot of buyers that do arbitrage and they pull the price up towards 100% luck bitcoin mining.

If you want guaranteed payment, mine with NiceHash. If you want to gamble, choose other pools or even solo pools.

I have used your pool for a few weeks now and do enjoy the daily payouts.

For historical purpoese what sort of spike did you actually see with the pay coin frenzy?

Miners were being paid about 10 times more than usually for about 5 days.

Last weekend I saw 30% and tonight 26%.  Why the frenzy now?

as always a new alt coin take the money while you can. I am getting 0.02 price for it.

so you say you are getting .02 / where do I see what I am getting?
you put in a price on your miner when I wrote that I had p=0.0202  as my password

see here

I then check here:

so right now I know I am getting p=0.0125 or more for the hash rate below

Miners cannot choose which order to join. Even if you set p= higher than Currently paying and lower than high paying order, your miner will be disconnected. If you want to mine, you only need to have p= lower or equal to Currently paying value, thus part of table with info for buyers is useless for miners - it is there only for buyers so they can see for what price they can get hashing power. Same goes for buyers - miners part of table is useless for them - currently paying rate gives them no info about current hashrate market (they need to know order book, price interval of orders).

I don't understand how is it possible that after change of ownership, this service became so shitty?

Before, there were no downtimes, but now, constant down times and what is even worse, you don't explain why the downtime, you always just say 'its our hosters fault'. Dont you have premium hosting that costs more than 1000 usd a month? I don't think premium hostings have such fall outs every 2 weeks.

To me, this more looks like incompetence to run the service. If this will continue, soon, all we will be able to do is say R.I.P. betarigs.

And seriously, look at the features, what did you add and what did you took away? There are no more graphs, there are less features than before, but all you could do is drastically higher up the fees. Really great work! You were dealing with features that are not so important like hiring multiple rigs at once, but how about most important one - online wallet, so we can stop opening tickets for every damn transaction that gets lost because your service doesn't work?

Scrypt has gone through the roof, would be nice to point my machines here but both pools just report as dead.

Tried with and without #xnsub and the same with #skipcbcheck

Tried westhash and nicehash, tried with and without worker names.

Tried p=, d=, x and other combinations, reboots and restarts but always dead Sad

Send your IP to info@nicehash.com

They helped me that way when this happened to me.

Re: What are the best Rental Sites ?
by

Couldn't go past that after seeing this nice proof:

Miningrigrental prices of cheapest rigs - prices going from 0.0111 BTC/GH/Day and up.

NiceHash price for renting 200 TH/s in fixed order (that means guaranteed speed, no need to worry about bidding) - only 0.0106 BTC/GH/Day.

So, tell me, am I crazy or are these people who still rent from much more expensive site?

www.miningrigrentals.com

I usually use this one, happy with it.

Miningrigrentals is expensive. NiceHash is way better choice to rent from. You can actually make profit there, while with miningrigrentals, you will always pay too much and end up with a loss.

Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available!
by
Rum152

According to this; we can all do this. Create massive amounts of rigs on betarigs, each one with 0.0001 higher price. In the back have only 1 rig. In rig config, set highest priority pools to ones with higher price. That way your rig is constantly hired, for no work time customers need to fill ticket (if they do - some don't). You can gain a lot that way. How do you fight against such manipulation?

Why should I (a renter) use Betarigs as opposed to NH?

When you put an order on NiceHash, someone can overcut you, and take your hashrate away from you. With BetaRigs, when you order hashrate, the hashrate belongs to you until the specified duration ends.

This used to be the case, but NH now offers fixed rentals. (Just want to clarify I'm not promoting them, just want to give you a chance to convince me)

There are no better than NiceHash sites for getting hashpower. I will now tell you why.

1. In 99% cases, prices are there the lowest to buy, which is understandable, because buyers determine them, not miners. Yesterday, you could get SHA256 power for as little as 0.0075 for many hours. You could earn quite some amount mining bitcoins. I earned net 0.22, but I could have more if I invested more. I could never earn extra on plain bitcoin mining if I hired from here or MRR, because miners always set their prices so high.

2. You never have to worry about not getting what you pay for. This means you save time, because you don't have to write tickets. Think about wasted time dealing with support on MRR or BetaRigs.

3. With their new features such as bot and fixed orders, overbidding is the past. I haven't tried bot yet, but I put fixed orders many times, because in 90% of cases, fixed prices are still lower than cheapest rigs here or MRR. Cheapest rigs usually give you the most problems and tickets writting, so you need to buy a bit more expensive rig and that rig usually have higher price, too.

4. Save time when renting. This one goes both way, even if you are a miner, NiceHash is a pool - you don't have to bother about setting price and constantly watch what are the rates to maximize profit. When you hire rigs, you need time to analyze each rig, check feedbacks and the determine if it is worth hiring. If this is one rig, it is not a big issue, but when you hire more, this can suck quite some time - time which you could spend doing something else more profitable. There are larger farms to hire - MRR has quite some of them - but these are in most cases way too high on price, sometimes owners want 100% more for them compared to smaller rigs. I never understood and I still don't what is the benefit of hiring so expensive farms, because at the end od the day, you loose. And if it is for gambling purposes, then there are better ways to gamble, where your luck is more near 50% (casino?) - in this situation is more near 5% only.

5. High risk due to inability to cancel rental. This is very important when you are on a heist to actually earn coins from hiring not only gamble. Things can quickly turn, coin diff may quickly rise or price can quickly drop. If you are locked in long term rental, you will, at the end, only make loss, even if the price at start was promising you profit. That is why short time rentals are prefered, but again funny thing I noticed is that rigs available for short time are more expensive.

The only way to earn more coins from BetaRigs or MRR is to put your rigs for rental with higher price and feed on suckers that are stupid enough to gamble with your rigs. But this requires time. And I didn't buy my ants to spend extra time constantly monitoring market. I bought them to generate me steady maximal mining profit without my time, because as soon as I spend time with them, ROI increases. That is why I decided to let my ants on NiceHash/WestHash and stop spending time constantly adjusting price. And rather focus this time in opportunities like yesterday, when SHA256 price was so low.

Betarigs, after being taken over by new owners, is far worse when it comes to quality. What is actually happening? Are your programmers completely lame and can't do things the proper way?

Westhash or Nicehash and set your password to p=.0xx (what the lowest you will take per 1Th/s)  then set back up pools of your choice like one of the other PPS pools or use Kano's CKpool.

Agree, NiceHash or WestHash the best choice 100%.

westhash all the way.
1) great graphics
2) great pay out
3) added efficiency (extranonce)

I go check out westhash... thanks as they do have a recommended pools tab.

https://www.westhash.com/?p=pools

der

This list is for buyers. If you are miner like me, all you have to do is point your miner towards NiceHash or WestHash stratum and enjoy great profits. You get paid for each submitted share - this update on your own personal stat page every minute, their stats show that in past 30 days NiceHash/WestHash has been paying 1.5% above regular bitcoin mining profit. And their fees are 2% which is very low for PPS pool.

They can give you this good deal, because they resell your hashing power to other people (who buy it). If you only care about maximizing profit like me with no bullshit scam pools that makes some promises of good profits but eventually turn out as a scam or have irregular payments, then NiceHash/WestHash is the only way to go.

Nice work. On nicehash, I'm assuming that's using multi-algo pay rates? How closely does it resemble advertised rates would you say?

NiceHash is one of the fairest pool I've ever seen. They are also the only left on Poolpicker's comparison table (well, multipool.us is still there). There used to be more pools, but they requested to be removed from it, because they mostly had big negative ratio of what they "advertise" and what you actually get.

Here is for scrypt: http://poolpicker.eu/vs?algo=scrypt
X11: http://poolpicker.eu/vs?algo=x11
X13: http://poolpicker.eu/vs?algo=x13

As you can see, only NiceHash is still on (and multipool.us for scrypt), other pools wanted to be removed so they can continue to cheat miners.

The only thing I am missing about suchmoon's stats are maybe some SHA256 stats, since I am a SHA256 miner. But keep up the good work Smiley

Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized?

The other day I was thinking bitcoin itself is decentralized, but everything around it is centralized or striving towards being centralized. Let's just take a look at this forum for example. Here are certain people in such power that if they decide, they can destroy you - your forum nickname. Members with trust can give you negative trust for no reason and you have no way to fight against that. Admins can ban you with no reason. Isn't that the principle of "centralization" - a few people having power to do anything and with no justified reasons?

There is something strange happening on NiceHash. According to my graph, and graph of other miners, our hashrate actually goes up, above declared for some time. Not that I am complaining, since I am paid now even more, but I am curious what is goin on? I have never seen this before.

Nicehash and westhash are highway robbery there is no way you can make a profit it is all BS do the math.

You are saying this from buyers point of view? Me, as a seller, I constantly make profit, small, due to high electricity cost, but more than mining direct Bitcoins.

Wow you must have an ancient rig!.

Just swap http:// for stratum+tcp://

HTTP doesnt work anymore on our end.

Ahmed

Like I said, that was long time ago, before I even got my first mining hardware.

Will maybe check it out later again. NiceHash has pool verificator now. What does it say when you try on Betarigs? I am sure the problem can be solved, no? Does NiceHash block Betarigs? By domain?

Not sure ive never tried on their end. On our end they used to do some extreme JSON parsing and blocked us over a single space in our messages. Got that fixed now so people can rent from betarigs to nicehash.

Ahmed

O, I am interested, what was the problem exactly?
