Re: What are your expectations for ICOs in 2019?
by
Rutdam
on 23/11/2018, 15:00:44 UTC
I think a lesser number of strictly audited ICO's will take place in 2019, and they will fare considerably better than the bearish massacre of 2018.

KYC's will become commonplace, but I see it as a positive development because it doesn't necessarily compromise the independent nature of Cryptos.

I agree. The SEC has already fined two ICO companies. There will be no unregulated ICO in the US at least.

Not just twitter spam, they copypasta the twitter spam to shitcointalk and/or reddit as well.

Re: Alt coins worth buying

Altcoins worth buying but an investor should investigate the project itself, i think it is objectionable to invest with advice only. We need to listen to the advice of other investors  but we should do our own research on the project.

There are too many altcoins now. It is difficult to investigate by inexperienced investors.

3.5 percent security node award, I want to participate in it, how many ZenCash do each security node need to hold?

42 coins for secure node and 500 for Super node.

How to install Secure Node
https://documentation.zencash.com/display/ZEN/Secure+Nodes?src=sidebar

You need server with 1CPU + 6Gb of ram and 20Go minimun to run a secure node. Super node are still not "public" for the moment (I suppose Q3 2018 for Super Node

Can you be a secure node and super node simultaneously?

Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high
by

on 21/06/2018, 08:05:48 UTC
Bitcoin is the most valuable coin in the crypto market. They also have their own network. Therefore, the market is high. It gives more confidence. There are a lot of investors. Bitcoin will rise even more.

It seems there are more usage in the ETH, but the market cap is lower.

Because this coin was the first which seized the market, and people began to be interested in the topic of crypto currency and invest, and it was possible to invest mostly only in bitcoin, so this price you can see now.

It has also the biggest user community.

Not now precisely, BTC is a king of all cryptoworld, the factor of the prices and other positive things of BTC can't be reached by any other coins in the near future. BTC has taken the place at people. He has already shown the actual face.

Do you think Monero or Bitcoin Cash could replace Bitcoin coin as the big con?

I’m very bullish on Bluzelle at the moment. Low token supply, stellar team, and a solution in a rapidly growing area.
Good exchanges and low supply, that is gonna happen especially now that we are in the bullish market.
As ETH is increasing, most of the altcoins are affected because most are under the ETH platform, it's like a buying a discount now since the price has just started to recover.

Which exchanges do you think will accept that coni?

Monero V7 algorithm difference and its implication for various GPU
by

The Monero will hard to adopt a new PoW algorithm.

Will the new PoW algorithm favour some GPU more than other cards? Can the old 7970 or R9 390 mine efficiently?

Maybe my answer is not pragmatic but
BTC is the first one, it is an idea, passion, legend like Iphone
It is a price for this legend.

That is right. If you think the bitcoin price is too high, you can buy bitcoin cash instead.

IOTA and GBYTE are the only 2coins that using blockless technology on the market right now, am I right, guys?
IOTA has no transaction fee, does the GBYTE?
I'm a fan of IOTA, but wanna know more about GBYTE.
Cry, miss the day that GBYTE price = 0.33btc

There is another competitor NANO (formerly Raiblocks) which uses the Tangle technology. Byteball has very low transaction fees.

It seems you don't have any GByte yet when you don't know about it, right? Then I wonder why you are missing the day when 1 GByte was 0.33 BTC, you have the chance to buy Byteball very cheap now.
well, I got a few GBYTE but never transfer it anywhere but let it on the exchange. and don't know the fee
and I buy it at 0.2 btc, then it rise to 0.3 and didn't sell, then storm came up, and I sold at 20% loss
at that time, it's no more than other coins to me, but when I fall in love with IOTA and know this using blockless too.
NANO as I know, it using sidechain, which mean it combines some kind of technology, including tangle, right?
there's a time that I typing capcha to get the raiblocks, and sell it for very very cheap to buy toys for younger brother :')))

You can keep it. It might rise in the long term.

my 7950's do 270 sol with this software, seems about right i guess?

cant believe i got hold of 2 7950's for 150 bucks in these times, not counting on any huge profits ofcourse, just some hobby mining.

You might be able to get 300 sol if you do a little overclock with core and memory.

Try 1100/1575 or something like that and see if its stable.

Yes you got really lucky.

I remember you could buy the 7950 BRAND NEW for like $199 back in end of 2013.

That is right. I still use my 7950 to run the ZEC. I get about 250H/s with 830/1250 as I undervolt a lot.

The price of bitcoin in fiat money will always grow, since it has a deflationary nature. The drop in prices is possible if it is completely squeezed out of the market by other more sophisticated ones.

I agree. The bitcoin or the bitcoin cash is deflationary. So their price will rise against fiat.

In EWBF miner, you can get efficiency stats that show sols per watt and approximate wattage of each card. Does this miner have that capability? I don't see a command listed for it.

The AMD power output does not include the power draw from the PCIE slot. So it is not accurate.

Re: Funfair (FUN) is burning 6 billion coins tomorrow
by
Rutdam
on 27/10/2017, 18:23:03 UTC
For those not following FunFair this burn does not appear to be an attempt to jump on the recent fad. They have been attempting to find a fair distribution solution for a while, one that would not devalue current tokens, with the possibility of giving current holders additional tokens. These discussions went on for a couple months before FunFair finally decided they would do an Asia tour with a second ICO directed towards Asian countries. Unfortunately, the Chinese crackdown on ICO's put an end to this plan, and as a result there hasn't been an obvious solution for the last month. It seems that this burn is an attempt to remove the extra tokens from play simply because there has not been a mutually agreeable solution to their distribution. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the burn is already priced in and FunFair doesn't see a huge pump.

Has the price risen after the burning?

Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments

Rutdam

Wouldn't it be an idea to have an option in the wallet that upon a payment out, the 'change address' is the original Byteball address that is used for linking in the airdrops? That would avoid people missing airdrops without their knowledge and would make it easier for people to use Byteball more for small transactions, without running into trouble with future airdrops.

Coins like DeepOnion offer this functionality in the wallet software.

This feature was merged in our github a day ago and will be available in the next release.  It will enable what you say, and a few other interesting things.

oh oooh, sounds good !

Could you say more about the few other interesting things ?

You'll know when we release.

Tonych is there a possibility to include an option in the wallet for people to donate say 0.5-1% from their airdrop to the community fund so more Devs can be hired to develop different useful projects for Byteball as psychologically if the option is included in the wallet and selected by default i guess the majority of the airdrop receivers wouldn't mind donating 0.5 to 1% from their airdrop to the community fund to help Byteball grow healthy

I think it is a good idea. Some people wish to donate individually.
