Christie Hudson - Expedia Communications Director North America explained:
I can confirm that as of May 10, 2018, Expedia will no longer support Bitcoin as a payment method. At the moment, we do not feel that we can provide the best experience for Bitcoin customers. At the same time, we will continue to look at the different options available to provide our customers with the best payment solution.

Blockchain technologies make tracking and managing digital identities both secure and efficient, resulting in seamless sign-on and reduced fraud. So Blockchain technology goes way beyond financial assets mostly known as Bitcoin.

I agree with you. We are scammed by people not by Bitcoin itself. It's good that you can aware that, unlike some unwitting ones who got scammed and then blamed on Bitcoin.
It was wise of you not to accept you friend's offer. It smelled fishy because it was exactly the pyramid system, and it could collapse anytime.

Re: Future blockchain
by

I think Blockchain has an immense potential for Internet of Things.
Internet of things (IoT) is in the making, mainly depending on client/server communications, centralized trust brokers and protocols. But the centralized network seems to become the bottleneck and causes lags and failures in critical exchanges because of too much network traffic. Therefore, Blockchain with the decentralized and secure nature is a solution to IoT.

Re: Do you have the experience of forgetting your bitcoin passwords?

I think forgetting the password of any account, or specifically the bitcoin account, is easy for anyone.
Therefore, be careful when disclosing to anyone about your Bitcoin investment. If necessary, you should only disclose to a few relatives whom you trust absolutely. In the event of a breakdown, your loved one may be able to replace your current Bitcoin number.

Re: Bitcoin Market Manipulation
by

Investors who own a large amount of Bitcoin may be concerned with spoofing and wash trading to manipulate bitcoin as well as other coin's price. Spoofing is known as the action of creating false buy orders to attract other to get in with the intention to raise coin's price and then actually sell coins for profit. Wash trading, similarly, happens when someone simultaneously sells and buys to create false demand and supply, meant to make it appear as if an asset has more trade volume than it really does.

Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin?
by

on 24/06/2018, 06:34:08 UTC
The Chinese government has been implementing a ban on cryptocurrency transactions, stricter control over the online platforms and mobile applications used for the transaction. In addition to the ban on the cryptocurrency platform, the next target of the Chinese government is the domestic platform that allows centralized trading without clearly delineating the difference between these platforms.

Re: Crypto VS national currency
by
Ruth Diass
on 04/06/2018, 17:47:25 UTC
Bitcoin as well as Altcoin is riddled with problems. Problems with terror financing and money laundering, problems with fraud. Moreover, it isn't a currency which is defined as something with a store of value, because Bitcoin doesn't store any value. In addition, its erratic price hampers it from being used as a reliable payments for goods and services.
