IMO new season of mining is over the corner, the trade volume is much higher then the best days of 2018 when BTC was at 20K-lets see how efficient the new 7NM navi will be.

Onda- I only heard a problems with that brand from the days of the iPad clone Tablets, they always released not finished product and constantly releasing new Revision since release and you would stuck with buggy tablet with no support.
What about better Brand like Colorful ?

I think soon mining will be back with new 7nm GPU's/CPU's/Asics,
Just remember- going down from 12nm to 7nm for AMD meant "Same performance at half the power"- so just this will make mining much more profitable :-=).

Yes it's just great handy tool without going thru Bios editing/flashing/Pathching etc, Lok like AMD paid attention to the Miners and their needs (also when they added GPU task swithcer for Compute/gaming).

I head that for Vega there are even more options for tuning and power mods, also Auto Under-volt feature.

P.S - Can some Devs figure out how they are applying custom timings on the fly so they can make nice utility that applies our Custom Timings? I remember old days of Gefore 6X00 (2005~ era) that there was a small utility that let u customize the timing on the fly so later you could Flash the best timing that you found.

So AMD just released new Driver:AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.12.2 drivers.
Among many new stuff- there is now an option to change Memory timing :Automatic/Level 1/Level 2 - and they apply on the fly when you choose "Apply", not even a restart is requierd!.
I did small test with oclmembench on my RX 470 4GB Hynix on Stock Bios 1206MHz/1750Mhz.
Timings -Automatic: 165 GB/s
Timings -Level 1:     169 GB/s
Timings -Level 2:     182 GB/s

Level 2  @ 2000MHz Mem OC: 195~200 GB/s

Have you tried it and compared results? I think it's nice by AMD to provide this option- what do you think?

I think that next year when 7nm GPU's will come out + 7NM ASIC's then the CRYPTO world will start to come to life again.
Also in future we gonna have MCM GPU design that will make 1080TI like ~GTX 1060/1050. 7NM wide spread is the key for the CRYPTO world!.

ETH price are sinking like Titanic, I think the mining is dying, and only will be profitable again when the many farms and miners will get out of the game and the diff will be back to ~2015-2016 levels.
 

1080Ti on amazon already selling for $600 (RX 580 for $200), so I am sure gamers will not pay over $300 for Ex miner 1080TI GPU's, and now think for how much they gonna sold in few month when RTX will be out, and AMD 7nm around the corner, the 2nd hand market is flooded with mining GPU's and it hard to sell now and in future so any1 that didn't ROI until now should really consider Selling the GPU's, they are loosing more Value per day on 2nd market then they mine.
The $$$ from selling the GPU's will "Mine" more coins then the GPU's could in Years.

I think it's stupid to mine at loss, it's not 2015 again since back then the Value of the minable coin was low but you got lot's of coins and could made a lot of $$$$ in 2017, but now the Diff is the same crazy high and you get very little amount of coins (ETH) that even if the price jumps X5 it means you only got ~ $2 profit per day for 1080TI with Viagra Pill.

How this is better strategy then selling the 1080TI right now? remember that new GPU's are out and by next year with AMD's 7nm GPUS +NV RTX even the 1080TI will be sold at trash prices since no Gamers will pay more(now think about 1060/1070/AMD RX 2nd prices), the GPU performance by next year gonna Double, it's not 2017/18 again.

So it's better to sell the Pascal/Vega/RX GPU's now while they got so warranty left and take the money and maybe buy some coins at current dirty cheap prices or save the money for next year for new GPU's and hopefully GPU mining will be back at big time and we will meet here again with a big smile on our face :-).


 

I have also stopped mining with my small rig week ago, and today I wanted to clean and prepare them for selling (1070/1080TI AIB models), But I found big problem! somehow the  Aluminium Heatsinks started to build white corrosion right under the fans, they were fine when worked week ago - but now I don't know what cause it and how to remove it- Any Help?

Do you think that after MTP launch , other alt-coins gonna consider forking to MTP algo too? to bring GPU mining back to life and fight ASICs?
