I am slightly amazed. The news last night was fairly scary and the users online on reddit kept going up so panic was on the air, but the price has not even blinked. That seems to be because the best thing to do yesterday was to buy not sell because since they seized fiat, you want to convert the fiat to bitcoin.

However, in terms of pricing, the news calls for a correction.

Does that therefore mean that the selling has been delayed due to practical considerations and therefore a correction is due?

Common, isn't it only 5 people who have 100k coins and who on earth would just leave them on a laptop. You'd probably send them to a bank safe like the Wikilovers.

Good to see reptile is so creative with his attention whoring though.

Yeah, the left doesn't like bitcoin as a currency.

They like it as a store of value though, but the currency part overwhelms them so they bash bitcoin.

You're mistaken.  And that kind of knee-jerk snap judgment hurts us all.

Authoritarians don't like bitcoin.  Of the right or of the left.  Liberals/progressives - and those of every other political stripe who dislike what our political and financial systems have done to us - are natural bitcoin boosters.  As currency or store of value, either one.

Otherwise, all I could think of when watching that video was the line from the movie:  "I see dead people..."  And they don't even know they're dead.

I don't think I am mistaken. Authoritarians of course do not like bitcoin, but those that believe in a big government, as the left does, do not like it as a currency either because you need inflation to have a big government.

So May 11 came and went and nothing happened. I thought everyone was expecting fireworks.

Regarding the volume, is today the lowest since the April 10?

Bid Sum is almost at all times high. Last time this happened we went to 160.

Have we left the racy moves behind and are now turtley going up, or will some tiny positive news ignite a rocket?

That's great to hear from user "bitfan2013" on Reddit, an anonymous internet forum.

Seems legit.

I don't see why anyone would just make up all that stuff. He does need to address the credibility problem though.

Well' I enjoyed reading this last discussion.

We certainly had a correction, but a bear market does require lower lows as the market becomes increasingly pessimistic. I don't think, after the jump from 50, anyone realistically expects the price to reach 50 again. Even 70 has tremendous support and the last time we could not get past 97.

So, although previously I thought this might go the 2011 way, considering the above, I think we just had a very much needed correction and are now consolidating for the next deflationary move.

Exchanges Will No Longer Have banking problems:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1dyj70/update_coming_soon_a_private_fiat_bank_to_bitcoin/

I personally think this is huge. We get a whole bank to cater to our needs. Not only will exchanges be safe from any bank account closures, but it also makes buying bitcoin easy. I mean, we get a bitcoin bank - a bitbank - which does not do fractional lending, so its just there to act as a middle man between fiat and btc, but with all the support of a whole banking group.

No details as to who this banking group is though, but I for one can't wait to get a bitcard.

I can see dry paint.

Does anyone have any theory as to why we've stopped at 112-114?

Look at the ask bids 114-120. Bouncing between 14k-20k. Way too many coins for a $6 span. Unless someone drops 2M we're not going up for the time being.

Indeed. This was my bold prediction - with some maths to back it up instead of the usual arm-waving...

You're not suggesting we've reached saturation?

3 million downloads

Does that mean there are at least 2 million bitcoiners? So if we average that, everyone has put in 500 dollars into bitcoin, giving it a current market cap of 1 billion.

I guess you're probably right, but 6k isn't that much. The bid sum has just touched the ask sum, might be crossing any time now. We should be at least at 117-118.

The volume is almost half of what it was during the weekend though.

I thought Gates came off as quite complimentary with that little statement.  Pretty cool.

Lol for some reason you can not keep out dude.
