Hi,

I'm trying to setup a view only web view and even though I created a view only group in the security area and unchecked everything, users can still change pool configuration options and click into individual miners and change settings? Thanks
Is this when creating account on the local web server or additional cloud web users? I'm not able to reproduce the issue in any of those cases, but it might be some more specific scenario.

Could you please send me a screenshot of your configuration in the Security settings? Please send via the contact form on the web site:
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact

Thanks!

Hi Patrike, This is when creating a view only account on the local web server, I have port forwarding setup to the local web sever so my finance guy can view but I do not want him to be able to change anything. I will send the requested info. TYVM

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I need to be able to show that the Dev fee being taken is the stated 2.8%. Any way to add that to the Mining History feature?

@Patrike,

Any way you could add a way to audit the Dev fee being extracted when running your Awesome Miner (Vnish) antminer firmware? Also do you make any changes to the vnish firmware other than to integrate it into the software?

TYVM
Thanks for your question. Are you looking for a way to confirm how much of the hash power that is being used for the dev fee pool?

You should be able to see the difficulty and number of accepted share for all pools, including the dev fee pools. Please note that the dev fee pools have a very low difficulty so the number of shares may be quite high while the actual work spend on these pools are low compared to the work spend on your defined mining pools.

Thanks for the information Patrike.

Hi, running an antminer s19j pro 104t with Awesome miner custom firmware. The add to miner name setting is not working. I have the setting checked on and text in the field but multiple pools show nothing being added. If I add the info directly in the miner it works but not through Awesome miner.

Also what is the default ssh username and password when using the Awesome miner custom firmware?

Has anyone else see this? Thanks
Thanks for your question.

If you update the property "Add to worker name" in the properties of an External Miner - nothing will happen right away. Next time you use Awesome Miner to update the pools (toolbar: Tools -> ASIC Tools -> Default Pools) this setting will be used to give each Antminer a unique worker name.

SSH itself can be enabled but it isn't really intended to be used for anything so it might be removed in the future. Was it some specific feature you were looking for via SSH? For pool operations like Add Pool we will soon implement support for it without having to use the classic concepts like Privileged API access.

Thank you very much for the explanation.

Hi,

Can someone tell me exactly what does the Clean up all downloaded and uploaded mining software option on the System tools menu due?

Thank
Awesome Miner and Remote Agent downloads mining software (like Claymore Ethereum Miner, XmRig, ...) to your computer when needed. When you click on this menu item Awesome Miner will remove all downloaded mining software from disk.

In case some mining software file is corrupt (or removed by Anti-virus software), it can make sense to force a cleanup. Next time you start the mining Awesome Miner will automatically download the mining software again before trying to start it.

Well then a little notice should have been given so users had time to understand what was coming and make plans. Not pull the rug from under us. Some like me do not use the tax reports. I know that is a huge feature going forward but some of us don't use it.

I understand why you did it and its probably a great thing for new users but not for guys like me who have been using it for years and have had to make a lot of entries to keep things straight, its a terrible decision.

The button was used by many to mask actual issues in the account. To avoid this in the future we have now discontinued the button so that discrepancies become immediately apparent and don't fester until a tax report is due.

PLEASE consider giving that option back to users, why take it away if it works for some? I have been using the product for years and if this is how it will be going forward, I will have to look for another product. I would have to go back through years of data to fix all this when I already had it the way I wanted it.

Please give me some other solution, there would be no way for me to go back and fix the hundreds of entries I have had to make over the years to correct for situations the product could not handle at the time.

Please consider adding this button back or give users a way to select it as an option?

Thanks

Hello

After this update the numbers reported are completely off when I run a Realized & Unrealized gain and loss report. I have confirmed manually that the previous numbers were correct, the numbers now are way off. Previously my cost per unit for ETH was $93.05, now its showing as $459.08. I have similar inaccuracies for all my holdings.

Please advise.

Thanks

Thanks for the works around Patrike.

Hi, After upgrading to this Development version, I can no longer define a pool coin on my managed profit miners? It's greyed out. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I will correct this in the next release. The purpose was only to prevent it for some of the predefined pools where the coin shouldn't be changed (as it would only cause problems).

As a workaround, it should be possible for you to go to the Options dialog, Pools section, to select the coin for your pool.

"Reinitialize monitoring" fixed it. TYVM for the fast response.

Would not manage my remote farm without AM.

Thanks again

Hi

Since this update a lot of my rigs are no longer reporting power in the AM console but I see it in the mining software on the rig. I've checked "winver" and rigs are 1809 or above. Thoughts?

Awesome Miner version 7.7.2

Version 7.7.2
IMPORTANT: Future versions of Awesome Miner and Remote Agent will require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later.
   - This .NET version is already included in Windows 10 since April 2018. Run 'winver' to check the current Windows 10 version. If the version is 1803 or above, all is fine and no action is required.
   - For Windows 7, Windows 8 and older versions of Windows 10, please download and install:
     https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net48-web-installer

Thanks for the report.

There are no changes in the latest version (v7.2.2) of Awesome Miner related to .NET Framework or Windows version requirements. The release notes only indicates what to expect in a few weeks from now.

1) Power Usage monitoring is based on nVidia NVML. When you run into this problem, could you please select the miner and click on the System tab in the lower part of the screen. Then click on "Reinitialize monitoring".

2) If the above didn't resolve the problem, please go to the GPU tab for this miner and click "View GPU details". Please send the output to me via PM or mail. Thanks!

Does anyone know why when I try to mine ETH to nicehash with my GPU rigs, I just keep getting a connection closed by the pool message?

Following pool config:

stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353

Worker name is my Nicehash BTC address and password is x

Connects to the pool fine than gets disconnected.

Thanks
