Got any hard drives? Cool

I got half a dozen of 6TB SAS hard drives. Enterprise grade and very little use.

Do you have any non gigabyte cards?

I might decide to sell some EVGA 1070SC and 1070Ti Hybrids in quantities 10-20 next week. Will let you know. I know you like hybrids Smiley

Finally added pictures.

All 1060's are gone... sadly via eBay. Will be posting 1070 there tomorrow although I'd rather sell them on here. I think eBay has got it's share of money off me over the years and it should enough for them Smiley

[SOLD] 1080Ti 1070 1060 downsizing the farm

SOLD

I recently had to move to a new house and the place is not as accommodating for my 20kW worth of gear. Both power and thermal management needs some rework to increase capacity and I really hate to see half of my gear sitting idle waiting.

Almost all the gear is two years old with one year of transferable factory warranty left. Here's a short list of GPUs I want to sell at the moment:

9x Gigabyte 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G - $425 (2-3 for $415 or 4+ for $400)

8x Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming - $210 (2-3 for $200 or 4+ for $180)

2x Gigabyte 1070 Windforce OC - $195

11x Gigabyte 1060 3GB Windforce OC - $85 (4+ for $75)

Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/1BO7oh4

Shipping via USPS Priority to US/Canada only at this point. $15 for one 1080/1070 GPU or $10 for 1060 as they are smaller. For larger quantity we can make a deal on the total price.

Most cards were purchased by me new from Newegg and matching factory packaging is available. All cards are trouble-free and have been running at around 70% of power limit for most of the time and even lower during the past year or so.

As far as reliability goes, I had to RMA one of the Ti's in the first couple of months and Gigabyte sent me a new replacement within two weeks. They only ask for the S/N and no other info is necessary. Also, had two or three 1060s suddenly die out of 40+ units I had on hands withing the first 6 months. The rest was worry-free for their entire life. I'm running my gear in a well ventilated and dust-free setting with cooled ambient air and typically the chips stay at around 50-60C with fans fixed at 60%. High quality 12V power is supplied by server PSUs.

If interested, I can also sell various PSUs, cabling, risers and Asus Z270-E or Z270-A motherboards with Celerons, RAM, SSD, PicoPSU as well if you are buying several GPUs.

Payment in BTC at the agreed exchange rate on Coinbase at the moment of sale. Will ship within one day from Seattle area. Local pickup is possible for a batch of gear, especially if you are interested in other equipment such as industrial cooling fans, PDUs, wiring etc.

Feel free to look up my trading history here on the forum. I had sold a couple of 1080Ti and a bunch smaller cards in the past:

Re: PCI Riser Power Test, Results, and Recommendations

Agree with QuintLeo. And just to add...

I have used some cheap-ish "pure Molex" risers which were making 3.3V from that 5V rail coming from "the Molex". 3.3V power line should not see much load if any. I measured it on a couple different GPUs and it was well under 1A, which is less than 0.3W.

Those cheap step-down LDO voltage regulators they put on risers still have decent efficiency at low currents. Say, 80-90% if not more. Do the math and get 0.3W - 85% = 45 mW of power loss on the riser!

If you want to measure your power consumption the right way, measure your current directly.

Get a cheap clamp meter capable of picking up DC currents like the one I have...

It's amazingly accurate for the price (less than 1% off), so I even bought a second one for the lab.

I was also going to recommend Awesome Miner, but then I saw Linux mentioned.

One nice feature you may find useful is that it allows you to manage tons of rigs AND asics in a similar fashion from a single console. Highly customizable too.

I can't imagine selling off my rigs my babies! But I will at some point. We will all do it sooner or later just in order to keep up with the advancements in GPU tech.

On a serious note, just ask your doc to bump up the dosage of your antidepressant and problem is solved. At least until your elec bill hits 60%... then go ask Metroid for a quick solution Smiley

Finally, there is always a good excuse to keep mining no matter what. It's when you are really interested in acquiring a newborn coin which is not obtainable otherwise and the only way to get it is to mine it yourself. [aside from nicehash etc.]

Sounds like you guys should collaborate on the miner and split the devfee. Justaminer has spent quite some time figuring out what the end-users want, including API and reliability. I doubt that he had any ill intent by patching it in the beginning based on posts in respective thread. Slapping a devfee on a patched release was questionable, but that was done before Palgin's return.

Palgin's kernel optimization work is amazing. No questions about it.

We all would benefit if you two combine your knowledge and experience and make a great miner to try and beat that excavator which currently has ~10% advantage on 1080/1080Ti.

I don't approve patching someone else's proprietary binary, but when the only dev went AWOL, there was some excuse for it. If I were the original dev in such situation, I would expect an apology from someone who hacked my binary without my knowledge and would be open to suggestions and collaboration. But that's just me.

In any case, try to be respectful and open-minded. The last thing we need right now is a dev war in this space.

With respect,

Current version (3/1) crashes with "unable to start correctly 0xc000007b". Even when started without arguments, with or without arguments does not matter.
Both the 'hp' version and the normal version. Using 1070ti's, not OC-ed. But this does not matter as the app crashes before even looking for cards.
Windows 10, latest updates.

I need more info, type winver in cmdline and tell me what windows version it shows - (OS Builds xxxxx.xxx)

BTW, you guys better don't update Windows 10 that often, do you really thinks MS optimize it for mining rigs? All what they are doing is adding another layer of telemetry and some crappy interface tweaks, usually breaking software compatibility along the way. One of my rigs still use W10 Anniversary edition - and it's stable and gives same hashrate as one with newer Win10 Ver 1709 I had to install for debugging crash in old version of the miner.

BTW, more often than not the guys don't control windows update and get forced update to the next major build without even knowing it.

BTW #2: Next big update comes out real soon. https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-redstone-4-changelog

In addition to the boatload of telemetry and crappy UI they manage to fix a metric ton of bugs you didn't even know existed. And I beg to disagree on lack of optimizations for mining rigs. See bullet #39 in the article I linked above... It clearly states: "The user's profile picture is now showcased in Cortana's hamburger menu."

On a serious note, each major Win10 update comes with a bunch on new drivers, including GPU drivers, which will sometimes improve hashrates.

I will play with benchmark to find the best hashrate/watt settings, and find the perfect intensity. Do you have a tip for the GTX1060 3GB, just "trial and error", or let the default miner settings and drink a beer?

Default intensity setting is fine tuned for 1060, but you can try to change it if you wish. My advice is to drink some beer and relax a little while miner works  Cheesy

My advice depends on your current profit margin and % of electricity cost at the moment.

1. If your electrical bill is <20% of your gross income from mining, if it's winter time (cold), you just crank up PL and OC and intensity to the max and relax with some beer.

2. If your electrical is >20% but less than 33% of gross income, let go off the throttle a bit and get back into <25% zone on electrical. Add some harder liquor to the beer and relax.

3. If your electrical is >33% and BTCUSD is <$3,000 and you cant afford to buy beer any longer, then it's time to set PL to 50% or as low as you can go and switch to cheap vodka or some other substances so you still can relax Smiley

4. Finally, when you think it's over and mining is not profitable anymore... when you see Metroid show up with his suicidal ideas in this thread, you will remember the times when you had all your GPUs running at their max capacity and feel good about it Smiley

You can guess I'm running 1060's with -c 5 -i 16.5 and PL at 100% at the moment. Ambient temp is 3C and electrical is at ~18%. Don't even need my beer yet Smiley
