Is Chainlink (LINK) a good investment?
by
SJJoh

⭐ Merited by dragonvslinux (1)
On the bright side, LINK is trading in green in a very shaky market. Looking at its performance, Chainlink is one of the highest trading cryptos today and it is still improving in the market. Still, I'm not convinced if that is the project I should invest in. I'm following all their updates and so on, but I would really appreciate your opinion on that.

Re: Which coins to buy now for 2019?

Bitcoin and ETH is an obvious choice, both are well below the price they can have. I would also go for WAVES, ADA, IOT (not expecting price to increase much, but I think they have good potential in the long run)

Re: ETH to 800$ in JAN 2019? (after fork speculations)

Analysts are bullish on the ETH nearest future, it's doing quite well in terms of the market capitalization. In general, I expect the current rise to continue, but I don't see 800$ mark plausible in January or in Q1. Cryptos do not show this dramatic type of rise currently

Less ICOs, more partnerships for good existing projects. Market will overcome this turbulent time. I hope we all get more realistic and practical about crypto as well and instead of waiting for BTC to be 150K will use it as often as possible in our regular transactions

Checked the coin on coinmarketcap Started with 4$, now a bit more than 20 cents, in less then two weeks. The market is rough now, for sure, but it's kind of suspicious

What are the coins your are holding now and regret not selling them before?
by
SJJoh
on 21/12/2018, 20:35:00 UTC
I got some NAS in August, thinking that the price can go up (impulsive decision based on advice I shouldn't have listened to). I should have sold them in October, when they gained a bit. Now they are ridiculously cheap and I don't see much hope for even reching the August price in the nearest future. Do you have similar "regret buys"?

Re: Do you think WAVES will have their place in top 10 during the 2019?

The project is good, but I also agree with the point, that to get to first 10 they need to replace some other coin and they do not offer enough to do so for now.

When I invest into a project I'm always following the news. It proved to be a relatively reliable way to make the forecast of the coin price movement in the nearest future. It odesn't work all the time, so take other factors into account when trading or investing.

Am I following the idea right: if the market tendencies are repeating themselves, it means that the chances are high that a bullrun will be followed by another market crash? What's so positive about that for holders then? As you see, I'm one of the newbies. And no, I haven't sold my BTC))

I suppose there are other examples, more credible ones, to "shitcoin" about. IOTA is a legit project supported by a number of reputable partnerships. So calling it a scam looks a bit like a far-fetched conspiracy theory to me, no offense

Re: it's time to buy ethereum
by

It is always difficult to make sense of the current cryptocurrency market momentum. A lot of things can go wrong in quick succession when not taking the necessary precautions, although the markets also seem to follow their own path right now. It seems the current Ethereum price might see a short comeback before going through one last major sell-off. Once that pattern has come to a close, the next major bullrun is expected to materialize. The big question is whether or not Ethereum will reclaim a value of $200 after that.

Re: Fixing Volatility

Volatility is not a BTC problem, it's a modern day business and finance reality. We live in VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous). Cryptos are a great representation of this. All the trends and technical analysis can not predict for sure. But neither can you do so in most business fields. Embrace the change and develop your own strategy taking it into account, it won't change. So, I wouldn't like to fix it)

Check the way coins behave in terms of price on coinmarketcap, for example. You'll see some of the tendencies. It's rue, that when prices are down a good investment can make difference, but make sure not invest (trade with) money you can't afford to comfortably lose. I'm following closely WAVES and ZILLIQA now, have not bought yet, but keeping an eye on them. You can keep your ETH as well, it's a good investment.

Yes, the logical movement now will be upwards. As we can see from the chart, there's a nice balance of selling and buying

Due to the latest data the price stuck in the triangle formation period now. Also, there is a strong move to the upside, I would now expect another push lower before breaking out of the range.

The crypto winter seems to stay with us longer than we would like to. I'd say it would be stuck in the triangle for some time. Until the market in general overcomes this downward slide.

Some games don't require you to buy their coins from the start. There's this shooter when you get some of their coins to start playing

Best thing would be to wait a bit to see the trendline in perspective. Can go up in the coming weeks, if the market in general will stabilize more. It's hard to predict the movement even for well-established coins, let alone the newer ones.

Re: How to Trade cryptocurrencies comfortably with profit
by
SJJoh
on 15/10/2018, 11:17:02 UTC
If you don't feel confident enough, you can consider being an investor at a trading platform and let more experienced traders do the work for you. There are projects that allow you to pick traders based on their portfolios and expertise. I'm a new in this myself, but I think I risk less being an investor, as there's so much to learn and take into account to get good profit. So it might be logical to use other people's skills and knowledge.
