Two Massachusetts mans had targeted executives working for cryptocurrency related organization thinking they will be owning large amount of cryptocurrency and have very high-value social media accounts. Meiggs and Harrington used a illegal method of hacking called SIM swapping to access social media accounts of victims and in some cases to steal cryptocurrency using the sensitive information collected via those hacked social media accounts.

According to US department of justice, these two men have targeted more than ten victims across US and have successfully stole or tried to steal atleast half of million dollar worth of cryptocurrency from them.

I came across https://bitpatron.co/ which seems to be good alternative of patron without any censorship but it doesn't look like decentralized. Fee is just 1% compared to 10% in patron.

A smart contract based platform might be even better solution than anything that is centralized, government or authority can easily put bitpatron's founders behind bars and close the site in 1 second if they wanted to  

He is just throwing random number of 99% and trying to put his ripple within 1% of cryptocurrency that can be used in real life application. Most of the partnership ripple have till now is for on-demand liquidity (ODL) previously known as xRapid rather than for actual ripple which means ripple is not being used by any of those partners which includes big names like moneygram.

Soon there will be 100s of so called fiat backed cryptocurrency in the market, the significance of ODL will be almost none.

If they can successfully terminate all the mining contracts than they will have those mining devices under their name and after that when mining will start to be a profitable one they will earn millions from those devices and they don't have to share those earning with any user which is  legal according to their T&C.

Same viabtc might do to their lifetime contracts.

This is really a sad news but we all know government always hate to deal with cryptocurrencies and they actually have fear of losing their control over financial system.

I think zebpay will continue to serve as crypto vs crypto exchange, Indian people now might have to depend more on p2p exchanges like localbitcoins and paxful.

The one who sold at loss gonna buy again above the price at which they have sold their coins before out of FOMO when any change occurs in market trend people used to panic a lot so same can happen when market will turn slightly bull. People gonna jump in regardless of price and we might even see way higher ATH price in another bull over $20k. Price has ran from $1k to $20k within a year period just keep that in mind.

I think there are already few block chain start ups or tokens which want to disrupt music industry like voise but they aren't getting enough attention from both publisher and users. If this company have influence over indonasian market than it can get attention and we might have first successful blockchain based music platform. Sound good...

I don't think any particular month gonna affect the bitcoin price but yeah the end and early months of the year have same pattern in past. In trading past might not be repeated in future so price can even remain at current bear market at the end of this year. Increased regulation over crypto and panic among new investors in main reason behind the current dump on market.

Every coin is traded against bitcoin so whenever there will be big drop in bitcoin's price, every altcoin's price in terms of USD will go down.

Similarly when people start to sell their altcoins for bitcoin to exit with USD out of panic during such drop, altcoin also losses price in terms of bitcoin which make is loss more in terms of USD compared to what bitcoin have lost in last 24 hour.
