The Bank of England could use some help with their visuals  Grin but anyway.

Very interesting, folks have a loot at the Bank of England presentation: Page 7. The word ‘bank’: You cannot call yourself a bank unless you are one.

Fiinu does not claim to be a bank and I raise my hat for them clearly stating that in their documents but this is something I have raised elsewhere in bitcoingtalk as a concern. There are so many crypto and bitcoin bank projects who seem to have no idea what they are talking about. Being a UK-citizen and working in the regulatory/banking industry, I can assure you that getting a banking licence from the BoE is NOT very easy.

I am prepared to take 10% risk, because the return on investment here is real and massive. I am in.

The project seems to be well-thought of and well-prepared. But not sure if all members of the team are real.
If possible, can you give at least links of their respective profiles? Thanks.

Agree, this was not clear from the announcement. I went however to their website (https://fiinu.com) and all the information is there, including their LinkedIn-links.
Scroll down to Core Team section. It seems the bunch has worked many years together. There are some highly interesting backgrounds.

Let's say 99.99% they will get a bank licence..

The fact here is still 0.01% they won't get it..

As an investor, I've the right to know what will happen to my money in that case..

Will they provide a refund in such case even with excluding the profit they paid?

Or simply all our money will become a history and gone for ever?

I think it's fair to get an answer before investing in it..

Thanks..

We are partnered with licensed institutions in the EU. Our partner already has a payment institution license and is sure to obtain an E-money license during the ICO. In that 0.01% case, we would still provide and develop financial services with these licenses, just the scale of some services like loans would be smaller than that of a fully licensed bank. However, this is highly unlikely, as we would be developing a bank with an ICO or without it. The ICO determines our scale (capital wise) and greatly increases the speed of obtaining the license, however, getting a bank license would be possible even without an ICO.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Folks, I work in the consulting industry on regulatory licenses and firstly, API-license is something everyone can get very easily, less than a month's work. E-Money license is bit more complicated but even that is relatively easy 6-9 months. Bankera says in their WP that "we will convert the e-money licence to bank license". Well, it does not work that way sorry. These guys have simply not enough experience to get a bank license, read about Senior Manager's Regime and you all understand why.

Thanks all for your replies..

Allow me to assume that case:

What will happen if Bankera fails to get a banking license?

Will it mean ZERO for token all loose all my money? ie 0.01 Euro token will worth 0.00 Euro tokens?

What's their second "B" plan in such case?

This is not just a new crypto currency, it's a bank, and if a banking license fails, then will this cryptocurrency worth anything?

really I'm eager to learn about it to take the right decision either to invest in it or not..

Thanks..

Great question! How about escrow or something securing at least some of investors money, why do they need everything because without Bank license there's nothing and the tokens will be worthless.

There are merits in linking the centralised and decentralised worlds but these muppets will never be granted a bank license.
They simply have no experience nor knowledge of the industry. They say that the empty barrels make the most noise.

Actually over 92 billions. You only took into account the pre-ICO.

(25.000.000 EUR + 152.000.000 EUR + 750.000.000 EUR) * 100 = 92.700.000.000 EUR

Ah, ok. So not anytime soon (:

Just for comparison, a UK challenger bank Aldermore which was founded nearly 10-years ago was listed in 2015 with £660m valuation. At the time, they had been a bank for quite a while and achieved pre-tax profits of £50.3m.

Fintech is the future. I think they have the expertise to make this project a success.

I bought Bankera tokens, so it's obvious I personally believe in their project.

What expertise do they have to make this project success?
What have they achieved before?

Three months internship at Bloomberg does not really count as expertise to me Grin

So the list is now DASH, BTC, ETH and XEM.

Also fiat currencies like EUR, GBP and many others.

Dude.. you are posting in this topic million times a day. Almost  all posts are related to bankera promotion.  Are you paid for that or you are doing this just for fun ?

Could not agree more. Quite an abnormal behaviour.

In your ICO Terms and Conditions, there are six referrals to Polybius or Polybius Bank, for instance in Clause 11.2 is says:

"However, all Tokens provided during the Crowdfunding will constitute 44% of the total Tokens generated during the initialisation of Polybius Bank. The remaining 56% of Tokens will be held by the founders team."

Yet, you do not need funds to get the bank license but skills and expertise, which you do not seem to have.

This is probably the most pathetic ICO's I have seen.

Call me a party pooper but these guys have no previous track record of building high revenue company, nada!
It looks like Vytautas has worked as "an intern" at Bloomberg, that's all.

FOLKS, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT:

The odds achieving $100 million or more revenue within six years are 3.5 in 10,000.
Bankera projections are about $300 million, making the odds worse than 1:10,000. That is less than 0,01% chance. I keep my money on the 99,99%.

I am not a gambler but would say that under 1:10,000 odds are not good.
Last year, the bookies offered 1:2,500 for Kim Kardashian to become next US president.

Small correction, it's actually EUR 100 million and USD in year three.  Grin

You guys are so funny defending Bankera that I had to check my calendar that it's not April's Fool day?

I am not investing because their numbers do not stack up.

Also, they let us believe more than what they actually are.
Scammers or not, when did you folks last see a company to make £0 - $100m profit in three years?

As a general rule of thumb, scams share two common signs:

1.) Promised returns that sound too good to be true, and,
2.) Making money day from the day 1.

Bankera promises both. Their revenue and profits are unheard of. I work in the investment industry and am not aware of any company to-date which has grown as fast as what Bankera projects and make $100 million profit in year 3.

You told me earlier that you are collecting equity capital - but now it's an "affiliate commission" below. Which one is it?
We are not paying dividends, its an affiliate commission (net revenue share), so it cannot be treated as dividents. Also bankers will be used as discount voucher codes to pay for Bankera's services so they are effectively vouchers with affiliate commission on top. Also we are not dealing with US, so SEC regulation does not affect this ICO.
Equity capital represents the capital through a purchase of a company's common stock (ordinary shares), but you are not selling shares.

I asked some law & enforcement friends of mine investigate these fellas and those who are publicly backing them up.
They could not reveal what they found, but told me to be careful and that they are being monitored by authorities.

means this project offers loans for individuals to help if in a state of distress but I feel a little hesitant because credit cards are made later and what kind of funds need maximum how much I need to consider from now. hopefully nothing bad will happen later.

It's kind of early to eat those "bankera-mushrooms", don't you think  Grin
